Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

After a break I decided it would be a very wise idea to return to these "hallowed" halls once more. The note I found here was quite... strange. Nonsensical, even. Regardless, I wondered to myself if it was really the smartest idea despite my initial givings towards it. Anyway, I actually decided to see if the books here were actually legit. I shuffled through the aisles looking for interesting content, but all I saw of real interest were pieces of shredded paper. As I continued wandering, noticing the pieces of shredded paper were forming a trail, I found something odd, a book that had fallen on the ground. I picked it up and flipped through it, but I couldn't decipher any of the ancient text in it. I must have picked up something odd. However, I found something strange in one of the pages. It was an excerpt of something written clearly in common tongue.
It spoke of things that made no sense to me at all. I sighed and returned the book to its place on the shelf, which fortunately wasn't very high up. I kept going on my way and hoped I could get some knowledge from this endeavour.

I was continuing on my way when I saw a massive book floating around and that was definitely a shadow. Near it was a giant dressed up in dapper clothes like a librarian. Well once I was done here they'd be toast, I guess? The book seemed to turn its cover towards me, soon it opened up and started releasing all manners of spells at me, though for the most part I only felt really inconvenienced as I was singed and frozen at the same time by its spells. Kneeling I countered by launching a fire spell at the book, figuring that if it were a book it would definitely be flammable. Predictably enough, I was correct. And soon enough the giant joined in and attempted to punch me, to which I simply weathered the blow and retaliated by shooting electricity at it, which seemed to do the trick. I had seemingly managed to find out the two Shadow's weaknesses, but that was simply not enough. I had to keep fighting to make sure they would go down.
Once again I threw a fire spell at the book, and watched at its pages started to crash and burn, literally, I guess it wasn't very resilient at all, it couldn't even erect its magical barrier before soon expiring. That just left the giant, which I was sure was definitely tougher than the book. It magicked up a sword and attempted to slice me with it, but I rolled to the side and only felt the blade graze me. It still stung a little. Standing up, I casted a bolt of Ziodyne again and aimed it at the giant, which flinched, but it still remained standing quite strong and healthy. Sighing, I rolled to the side to dodge its inevitably ineffectual punch.
I aimed a last electric bolt at it before watching it fall over. It struggled to get back up, but yet it was still standing. It was gasping and struggling to keep itself in the fight. I simply put it out of its misery by driving my knife into where its heart would theoretically be, before it started to dissipate and fade away.
