Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
There was just something alluring about the floating castle in the sky. Magical, wondrous, more awesome than Disney Land that's for sure, and something that Vice wouldn't mind crashing to the ground if he could. Still, given that he hadn't exactly found a way to do it, he was just going to lounge on the translucent stair case to gaze upon it. He was also on a mission, the primary reason as to why he was there waiting for his partner to arrive. He checked his body clock, feeling around to see what time it is and when he finally found it, well, he had arrived just a tad bit too early to start complaining about punctuality and being late.
Not like it was a bad thing.
He had already double checked all of his equipment, the standard fare really. Swords, guns, and a leather jacket to keep the pesky wind attacks away. It wasn't the best set up, and better equipment has been long overdue but what he couldn't make up with material equipment was more or less negated by his adequate control over his Persona. With nothing else to do, aside from keep an eye on his surroundings anyway, Vice just returned to his castle gazing and enjoyed the sights.

The wind was far from clean or perfect. This was the case in the city, and it was even more of an issue in the Shadowlands. Still, the boy couldn't complain too much, since aerial travel meant not having to deal with the bulk of enemy traffic. Little Shadows down below squirmed and squiggled, trying to find a means of reaching the flying duo. On occasion, a ball of fire, ice, or some other element flew up. The boy in drag took a deep breath as their destination came into view. Why did he need to hold his breath? Well, that was because of Alma Elma's drop. Without warning, though the boy knew about it because the succubus was an extension of his will, the two began to drop at a good pace. Eventually, the boy saw another figure on the stairs. That would be his partner. Seemed to be Vice. Well, at the very least, the mission wouldn't be too terrible. Seemed about the only member of their “elite” team for dungeon raids that he wouldn't have had the chance to roll with, after that, would be Holly.
”Seems you're good to go.” The crossdresser noted in a light tone after the succubus “landed”, and he planted his feet on the steps. The boy was armed, armored, and good to go. The only issue would be the whole “undying mass of fat and destructive urges” that was their target. Still, he wanted it to die, and that was only especially the case after having to run from it prior. ”Good to see you, though, either way.” Came the boy's late greeting, the crossdresser straightening his hair with his free hand. ”Shall we head on in?”

The two of you meet up at the destination in question, ready to begin your mission. Though, before you head into the citadel itself a bunch of crazy-ass shadows jump out the main door and attack you. Maybe these have to do with the Lard-Ass Shadow?
Vice was broken from his meandering thoughts when the sounds of something arriving finally reached him. Fluttering clothes, a few tap taps, and a greeting all in one go. The biker stood up from his position, patted away the imaginary dust off of his pants and gave a small lax smile at Ran's direction. "Good to see you too." Just a short greeting, nothing all that in the end. Besides, he was smiling already. That was enough effort on the whole greeting thing. Simply nodding his head in agreement, Vice walked on over the steps. There was probably something worth saying, it was at the back of his head though, and for one reason or another remembering was being a difficult thing to go on with today.
The biker guessed that so long as it didn't interfere with the mission, then it shouldn't be a problem. Climbing up the staircase some more, really just hoping to finally get inside the cathedral to do their thing, a couple of shadows decided to act as their premature welcoming party. How they all managed to fit in on the stair case…well, there was always more than one step on a stair case. Vice forgot about that.
"I'll take the ones on the left."
There wasn't really much thought put into it. It's something he's done a lot before that by now everything was just going on auto-pilot despite his reluctance to be in it. Trying to gear himself up to get into the mood for a fight, Vice channelled Arondight outward once more and engaged half of the shadows into combat and trusting Ran to be well off enough to handle the rest. Pulling out a small rubber band from his pocket, the young man quickly tied his hair back into a pony tail to keep it off his face as his persona charged forward with swords gleaming. The death bound worked wonders and the symphony of pain, shrieks, and writhing masses was enough to finally get the ball rolling. It just a tad bit annoying that one of the shadows decided to keep standing and seamlessly evaporate along with the others. Then again, there wasn't any fun in a fight where they all just keel over and die.
The biker also had half a mind to just let the shadow do its thing but decided against it. He needed to wake up anyway and rushing head first like an idiot should do the trick. After that, Vice'll be able to get his ass back on track. Charging forward, his own swords at the ready, the young man welcomed a Gigantic Fist and tanked it out. Oh it hurt alright, Vice wasn't gonna lie. Compared to the shit he's been through though, it wasn't nearly enough to put him down. Arondight hovered behind the increasingly awakening male, and with a command from his holder sent out another Deathbound at the thing. Vice's swords were just for show then, or at least to have the shadow think he was going to actually use them on it.
Still, it felt good to be awake again. Shaking his head, pony tail swishing back and forth, Vice grinned to himself as he turned to look at Ran after his own bout. "Nothing we can't handle."

”Careful not to fall. Alma Elma may not necessarily be able to catch you in time.” The boy in drag warned as he had his succubus Persona unleash an empowering aura on both her “mistress” and the companion. Best to get the buffs out then, as opposed to when they were really needed, after all. The boy in drag just smiled as their numbers flowed down. They weren't that impressive. The only thing that was bothersome was their numbers. Well, there were ways to take care of that, though. Given their altitude, if one or two fell, they'd likely die from the fall itself. Unless they nullified Strike attacks, and that counted. And it probably did, considering the kinetic-backing of the attacks. Either way, the boy had a plan to lower their numbers. Perhaps even wipe them all out. Vice declared the half on his side. That was fine. It was easier to regulate a blast to a smaller area.
”Alma, here.” The boy in drag beckoned before grabbing the succubus by her tail and pumping it. With some stimulation and will on the crossdresser's part, the succubus began to spew a volley of fireballs over the stairs ahead. The semi-liquid fireballs exploded on collision, and the resulting explosions knocked the weaker Shadows clean off the stairs. The fall would prove to be their fall. No need to waste his energy on the third one. He could just prod it with his scissors. If the light was green, he'd slash it open. Of course, the Shadow did desire to do something the boy had developed a resistance to. The fist came, and the boy swirled out of the way, giving the Shadow a nice cut in the process. More than being just “effective”, it seemed pretty damn nasty. Keeping the Shadow preoccupied with his body, he had Alma Elma utilize a second Heat Riser. It boosted him all around while offering a boost to his ally. By the time they actually entered the facility, they'd be good to go on so many levels.
”There we go.” The crossdresser noted with a bit of casual mirth after spreading his scissors open and snapping the head of the Shadow clean off. The head bounced off the stairs, dropping. The body itself slumped down and dissolved. Swinging the scissors a little haphazardly, the boy in drag got the black sludge off of the otherwise pure white scissors before smiling slightly and willing for the third and final Heat Riser. Looking over to his partner, the crossdresser just shrugged.
”The big one we're looking for will be a bit nasty, but nothing we can't outsmart. I've kinda got an airplane over here, after all.” The boy noted, gesturing towards the still-flushed succubus. ”Ah, I'll heal as needed once we're further in. I figure that riff-raff couldn't do much to us, so best to walk it off until then.” With a skip to his step, he proceeded further towards the entrance. ”Now then, let's continue our date!” The boy winked over his shoulder before proceeding inside.

After finally entering the citadel, you walk around a bit having no clear direction to go on to find the shadow in question. You don't seem to find any immediate clue towards the location of the shadow. Well, until you locate a giant hole in the wall that is.
You hear a rattling noise throughout the citadel, but other than that, no signs of where the thing is right now. What you do find is a few shadows that have decided to simply travel down the "path of holes" likely created by the shadow. Upon spotting you, they attack.
"A date huh? Heh, guess I'll treat you to a meal when we get back. Won't be much of a partner if I can't do that much." The biker grinned, not quite fiendish but it was his little version of going along with the flow. Some time later, after aimlessly wondering around for a good bit more time, an interesting development decided to pop up…along with another welcoming party. Honestly, going off here like this and whatnot, these shadows must really love them. That, or the blonde lady was in cahoots with them or something.
Conspiracy theories, you gotta love them.
"Another party? Well, at least there's less of them. I'll go ahead and draw Aggro."
A malevolent smile spread through his face, eyes scanning what the six shadows were doing. The Knights carried swords, a small threat for him no matter how much power they could pump into their attacks. Jotuns had no discernible traits just yet, but the Magus was already readying a Mind Charge. The threat had been perceived and a coalition between the Shadow's Face and a Deathbound soon persisted. The critical attack rocked the shadow, forcing it to fall back from the sheer damage output of a fully buffed Major-level attack. The opening attack had also drawn the aggro of the Knights but again, Vice paid them less thought than the remaining Jotuns who were currently chanting a spell, one of Ice and the other of Lightning. The tell tale signs of the Knights swords impacting against him was when Arondight's apparition seemed to have lain over him, and since he had nulled their attacks quite splendidly, there was a priority in taking down those that were capable of hurting him.
Still, they had a rather good headstart on him in terms of spell channeling and the only reason why Vice was even able to have Arondight use Deathbound on them right after they launched their spell was thanks to his partners proficiency in terms of support. But even then, after receiving an attack of that caliber, the Jotuns still stood. Barely, yes, but alive nonetheless. Another death bound had done the trick, for both Jotuns and the writhing Magus that had gotten a lucky Garudyne smack right dab on Vice's chest. Even with the armour on though, and his artificial resistance to it, the thing was hurting like a bitch still. Goddamn magic, goddamn mind charge, serves the damn shadow well to die.

Akira was amused when the man played along. Would he really be getting a meal? It was questionable. He would wait and see, though. If Vice was a man of his word, then things would at least be interesting. Either way, the fully-buffed duo headed on in, and then things happened. Things being Shadows appearing. Another sizable group, at that. Vice offered to draw their attention. How kind of him. Was he the sort that tried to appeal to the ladies when left alone with them? He considered the raid on the enemy in the Descent. It was him, Akira (who was in drag), and three girls. Yeah, that was a little amusing. Perhaps he was a womanizer? That'd be something to check into. Either way, the man took the enemy swarm's full attention and ripped through a number of them. Seemed like the knights' armor was pretty solid, though. Nothing a little witchcraft couldn't ruin.
”Well then, I'll just clean up the leftovers, then.” The boy casually announced before coaxing his pet succubus other-self into firing a barrage of hellfire at the remaining Shadows. The explosions revealed two things- explosions were pretty cool to stare at, and those Shadows did not like fire. The trio seemed hesitant, tossing it amongst themselves whether to attack the man before them or the mage behind the man. That hesitation would prove to be their second biggest mistake. First, naturally, was appearing before and proceeding to engage the two users. While the Shadows bickered, a second volley was fired. The buffed flames, being pretty effective on the Shadows, burned them away, armor and all, into nothingness. The boy in drag slowly stepped forward, just smiling at his partner on this trip.
”It's good that you want to grab their attention, but be careful. Bite off more than you can chew, and things'll get very nasty, very quickly.” Whether it was a warning or a bit of teasing was ultimately up for debate, as the crossdresser just winked and pressed onward. Alma Elma, lingering, released a Mediarahan. The spell naturally effected Vice, but it did still reach Akira. Not that he'd really met with much resistance since the mission began. That was partially thanks to Vice, though.
After taking care of those seemingly unrelated enemies, what you can only assume is the "thing" you were sent to take care of comes blasting through another wall and begins to chase you. As stated by the woman, you have a very good feeling that your attacks won't actually work. Looks like you'll be needing to run towards the exit now!
Of course, a swarm of shadows is preventing a quick getaway! Looks like you'll need to blast them out of your way as you escape.
He knew as much. Doing what he did wasn't exactly the smartest of things to do but at least it woke him up enough to be able to think better. He'd prefer to be amped up already before the harder fights rather than fight like some lackadaisical newbie who thought he was invincible just cause he got himself an imaginary friend. As it stands, Vice would have also added another line had he not been distracted by the biggest piece of FUBAR he'd ever seen in his life. Nevermind the bats, never mind the crappy colour schemes, never mind some of the tacky as all hell full moon encounters he had to go through.
This.
This deserved the cake, and it even looked like it stole all the others as well.
"That though." Vice said as he pointed at the thing. "That I'm not biting. Ever." Then the bats decided to be an annoying bunch, not that they could do much after a semi-trigger happy use of Arondight's death bound, but still more of them came. "We know what we gotta do, so let's hop to it!" It was half order, half suggestion, half comment, and half running the fuck out of there. Yes, four halves. It was just that big. In this, however, the biker would follow Ran's lead on things and would alternate clearing out the bats or just getting farther and leading the thing to its hopeful demise.

Akira just quietly laughed as the man commented. However, he had no plans on commenting. The two would have proceeded, but it seemed that the game proceeded without them. There it came. Big, burly, fat, and likely rancid if you got close enough, the ogre was there. The boy in drag did laugh with the second comment Vice made. Well, he couldn't blame the man, but saying that just opened so many doors of teasing. The boy in drag just gave the Shadow-thing a small curtsy. His lips were curled into a playful, but definitively sadistic smile. He put a finger to his lips.
”Honey, I'm home~ And I want you out! The boy casually commented as the mass of flesh stormed at them. With that, the boy turned on his heel and offered an arm to the heavens. Alma Elma pulled him up, then cradled him, flying towards the mass of bats with zero hesitation. Tugging the succubus' tail between her legs and up in front of him, Akira leveled and aimed the three-pronged portal of hellfire at the crowd. He willed for a Maragidyne, gave the appendage a squeeze and a stroke, and out came a veritable volley of decimation. It was one thing to use an AoE fire attack. It was another when everything targeted (and there were a lot of targets) were weak to fire. What remained was a literal wall of fire that slowly broke down, crumpling everywhere on the ground.
”Don't slow down! I think it's obvious, but we have a very easy way of luring it off the steps.” The boy winked before looking at Alma Elma. A flying Persona made shit like this a cinch. It also made him, you know, not have to run for his life. He could just float overhead and let Vice deal with it. But he wasn't that kind of boy-dressing-like-a-girl.

You begin to trail the ogre towards the exit as you fend off the enemies that are attacking you. After a good deal of running, you finally make it to the exit and escape to the outside! Except, it seems that the ogre got stuck. . .
Looking back, you notice that the ogre is now stuck in the doorway, still trying to get you. Your job was to drop it off that castle, yet you certainly can't do it while its stuck. Looks like you'll need to get him through that door. Maybe some lube will work?
Vice didn't know what the hell he was missing. It was right there, in front of him, being shown off even that a person could physically interact with their own persona. This was stupid--he could have saved so much time exploring, manuevering, and just going around the place had he known this. Maybe it was just something Ran was capable of, like a special skill or something, but there was no harm in trying. The damn thing was getting closer each second anyway and if things didn't work out as he'd hope, well, he could always run for his life some more. Focusing as hard as he could on Arondight, forcing the emperor to appear out of thin air above him, the young man transferred his thoughts before raising a hand into the air.
And suddenly, he was moving faster than he thought possible as his feet began to lose purchase on the ground. The fallen king's wings swung themselves in mighty heaves, because flapping was too weak a term to describe the pressure that Arondight was exerting, as the persona carried its user with just an arm. Somehow, someway, the four of them, 2 users and 2 personae, finally managed to escape the floating castle and with a victorious smile already beginning to form on his lips, Vice was just about sure that the thing would have already been screaming in rage after being tricked into falling down. Unfortunately, no such scream ever came and the damn thing had just gotten itself stuck.
Fucking lardass.
Hovering a ways off the steps, just to make sure that the damn thing wouldn't be able to reach them unless it literally leaped after them (enough distance to make sure the damn thing missed too), a suggestion finally came to mind. "That's…not as amazing as I thought it would be but anyway, think we can blow off the sides of the entrance? I'm pretty sure I've got a skill somewhere that could do a bit of damage on the structure." Already, as he was suggesting this, his persona had already began to channel quite a bit of energy into its free hand. It would take a few more moments to complete and it'd be ready to be fired when either Users in the vicinity gave the signal.

Seemed that the man had the same idea after seeing what tubby over there managed to get himself into. Blowing the building apart would satisfy any desire for destruction that the humans might have managed to build up. Now, Akira was not the sort to believe that humans were inherently destructive beings. No, nonsense. Humans were instinctively "bored" beings that desired some form of entertainment. However, destroying things typically led to great enjoyment. Shadows. Buildings. Overly glitched game cartridges or discs hosting difficult games. Lots of things!
"Way ahead of you, Vice." The crossdresser giggled before caressing the tail. Then, squeezing and directing it towards the scene, the boy just grinned. "It doesn't matter if he absorbs damage right now. If we're blowing the surrounding stuff up, an area-based attack is best. Glad to know we had the same thoughts, though! Alma, Maragidyne." With a couple of pumps, the boy had his succubus spew the fountain of white fireballs. Like a plane performing artillery drops, the tail spewed forth a carpetbombing of the area. It was nowhere near the same level of prettiness as batfire wall, but beggars couldn't be choosers.
"The question is if the wall gives way, though. Shadow architecture might be surprisingly. . . durable." The boy thought aloud. Well after the fact that he had just attempted to work on the walls.

Slowly but surely, the wall holding the Ogre back begins to crack as it slowly pushes itself through the wall. As you watch this scene unfold, it pushes so hard that it ends up flying right off the cliff just as intended. Though looking down, you only see it make a very large indent in the ground below. It is certainly not dead. Look like the mission. . . was a success?
Mission accomplished!
