Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

John stepped into the abandoned museum. It was one of the many abandoned buildings dotting the ruined cityscape of the outer circle. His silhoutte standing in the doorway would have been quite intimidating, if not for the fact shadows rarely ever seemed to show fear unless manipulated into such an emotional state by an user's powers. He surveyed the room, his sight briefly resting on some sort of ugly collection of wooden boards It seemed to be one of those overly pretentious modern art installations. John briefly contemplated burning the insult to the fine arts to the ground but decided it to be a waste of ammunition for his flamethrower. Instead, he stepped further into the gallery, hoping to maybe encounter a piece of art that was well... actually nice to look at. He would probably just encounter yet another group of shadows out for his blood though.

Hmm? Just a small little maya? Guess it would have to do for this outing. John calmly took aim with his flamethrower and enveloped the animated blob in a torrent of flames. It momentarily looked like it actually even worked. However, the maya quickly emerged from the flames unscathed. "Just my luck. Here I was just wanting to test this thing's effectiveness and the first thing I encounter just so happens to be fireproof" As John muttered and complained to himsef, the maya had drawn closer with a surprising amount of quickness. It formed a psuedopod into the rough shape of a blade and slashed at John. Almost hitting his flamethrower's fuel tank. "Wow, easy there. If you ruptured this fuel tank the whole building could go down in flames" John knew the maya neither understood him nor would have cared. In any case though, it was about time he finished this. This did not seem like an enemy worth the trouble of summoning his persona. Thus, he strapped the nozzle of his flamethrower back to the fuel tank and pulled out his shotgun. The maya still seemed to believe it stood even a ghost of a chance. John allowed it to try one more attack. Which just so happened to be a fireball. John ducked under the projectile taking extra care to ensure the fuel tank on his back was facing away from the flames. "What did I just tell you, you stupid blob." John pointed the shotgun at the little blob and obliterated it off of the face of the earth with a well placed shotgn shell.
