"Yeah. That's what I'm hoping for. It's no fun winning without trying and losing against a stronger opponent lets me learn more so there's that."
Vice absent mindedly answered as he pulled out his wallet when the woman had punched in the produce that he had bought for himself. Tallying up the prices in his head and making sure that the prices were spot on (can't always trust the cashiers after all), Vice then nodded to himself and handed the woman a few bills that should have covered the price with a good bit of change left. Counting the change he had received to make sure there was no mistake once more, a habit from his economics days and overly frugal living, the charcoal haired civilian then packed it at one of his back pockets and, with a small utterance of thanks to his companion, grabbed his brown bag of items before supporting it with his left arm.
“Hah. You can cheer for me, sure, so long as you let me cheer for you too. I’ll make sure to give you a pretty good performance even.”
A small chuckle escaping him, the young man then moved away from the register in order to give the bag boy more space to do his job for the other patrons of the grocery. Putting on a thoughtful look on his face, Vice looked around the area to see which place would be nice to buy some hot cocoa from as they walked towards the entrance slash exit of the establishment. There were a couple of stands available, even some actual coffee shops, in the vicinity and it was just a matter of preference now.
“I’m pretty free, and Red Sun Heights is pretty close by so I don’t have to worry about travelling to get back. I’m more worried about you---I’m totally fine with getting some hot chocolate but what time does your mom expect you to get back?”
That was another thing. Vice would really prefer not to get accosted by some girl’s overprotective mother and he’d rather save his eardrums from the completely possible event of getting harped on for something he hadn’t even planned on. God knew that it wouldn’t be the first time some girl’s mom thought he was taking advantage of their oh so innocent daughter.
“I mean, we can just share numbers if you wanna get hot chocolate another time. I don’t want to intrude on your schedule either, Minako.”
