Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Ringo very well can't test the weight and speed of an actual metal sword in front of the apartment. He wasn't exactly comfortable testing it in the gap. So here he was, in some area not too far from it. He looked at the repaired sheathe and pulled on the sword handle. Ringo pulled out the sword that he obtained back at the shrine and did a few test swings.
In comparison to the Bakuzan replica, this sword seemed to have a tiny bit more weight but not to the point where it is going to be a hindrance. The blade also appears more fine. Ringo smiled as he placed the blade away. All and all this was a decent blade that'll serve him well for awhile. He re-attached the sheathe to his belt before looking over behind him. Ringo placed a hand upon his chin as he thought about who was coming out of the gap.
"Say...weren't you at the shrine a few nights ago?"

That last fight was one hell of a trip... From the Gap, Kaitou slowly made his way towards the ruins of the city's west sector. Under his white shirt, his arms and hands were wrapped tightly with bandages. In fact, he was completely patched up from the waist to his neck-- a reward for almost being melted away by the Red Devil Turret he'd squared off against the other night. It was a miracle that he'd survived the fight, let alone win, and it was really all thanks to Ran and the ring she'd sold him. If not for that, he'd probably have been a puddle in the car factory.
He had gotten stronger since the battle against the shrine god and wolf, yes, but the Shadows continued to show just how deadly they could be in battle. A part of the man wondered just how different the battle would have conducted itself if he'd had a Persona of his own...
'Nn. It can't be helped. At least I have a weapon that can harm them in the first place. My Persona will come to me when the time is right, and no sooner.'
Walking out of the Gap, Kaitou prepared to set off towards the car factory once again, but was stopped by a ball of brown spikes holding a katana of its own... Wait, that was hair. A guy's hair. Actually, he looked awfully familiar... and then he mentioned the battle at the shrine. Right. This was another User. Kaitou nodded, shrugging a shoulder before folding his arms across his chest. This person had been fighting alongside the other Users, but the heir did not have any particular memories of him. Must not have been someone of interest or annoyance, then.
"Yeah. I was there. What of it, Spikes?"

Ringo observed the boy. He looks a bit older than him being a tiny bit taller than him. He was notable by his reddish hair. It contrasted Ringo's in the fact that it was a lot more down and less messy. Ringo didn't remember him summoning a persona though. He was unconscious before he had the opportunity. It was good thing that black haired girl healed him and the others that were heavily injured by the battle.
"Yeah. I was there. What of it, Spikes?"
"I just wanted to see if you were okay. You were injured at that battle. You completely alright?" Ringo wanted to ask if he had a persona or not but such questions would be out of place here. "Have you been exploring the stratums long?"

Guy sure liked taking his time responding, didn't he? Rather, they were taking the time to study each other-- he seemed a bit younger than Kaitou, and his hair was... almost literally a ball of spiked tips. Was that natural or did he use a bucket of styling gel every morning?
So he was concerned about Kaitou's condition? Hm. They were strangers to each other-- if the roles were reversed, he wouldn't have called this person out just to ask if they were alright. Perhaps he was a bit more compassionate? Or maybe he was just a bleeding heart. Only time would tell...
"Do I look alright?" he responded, stiffly shrugging to emphasize his point. "Don't answer that. I'm all bandaged up because of a different Shadow. If you're talking about the full moon battle, I was healed fully by that girl with the succubus." Kaitou took a few steps to the side, looking towards the ruins of the city before turning back to the other.
"The answer to your second question's not really any of your business. ...I've been at this for about three months now. It wasn't until this week that I've started making any progress on my own, however. Do you have any reason for asking other than being a concerned citizen, Spikes?"

"Do I look alright?" With the bandaging on him, that question was a fair thing to point out. "Don't answer that. I'm all bandaged up because of a different Shadow. If you're talking about the full moon battle, I was healed fully by that girl with the succubus." Figured as much. "The answer to your second question's not really any of your business. ...I've been at this for about three months now." If the second question isn't any of my business why did you answer?"It wasn't until this week that I've started making any progress on my own, however. Do you have any reason for asking other than being a concerned citizen, Spikes?"
"You sure you should be exploring today in the condition you're in?" One can easily observe this was a pot calling the kettle black moment present. "Are you sure you can't wait a few more days to recover? You said yourself that a shadow is the reason why you're like this." Ringo wasn't sure what to say or do. He can't heal the guy...he guess he could use those medical powders but would they be a quick fix here? "Oh, by the by, I'm Ringo Shiro. It's nice to meet you."

"Nn. Wasn't just a regular Shadow. You ever run across a Red Shadow in your travels? They're nasty things..." Kaitou rolled his shoulders a bit, suppressing a pained grunt. To think that he'd have to return to the factory tonight just to pick up his damn phone...
"Anyway, I can't wait. I lost my phone during the battle and I really need it back. Hopefully it wasn't destroyed..." Well, he could wait long enough to chat it up with some stranger, but that wasn't important. As long as his phone continued to send out its GPS signal to his cousin's phone, he knew it was still intact.
Still, he'd rather leave sooner than later. The brunette sighed internally and nodded in response to Ringo's introduction, bowing out of habit and regretting it immediately. "Kaitou Nagano. I guess it's also nice to make your acquaintance."

"Nn. Wasn't just a regular Shadow. You ever run across a Red Shadow in your travels? They're nasty things..." Ringo tilted his head. Red shadows? Come to think of it, he hasn't. Given this guy's injuries he wounds he could tell that they were stronger than the standard..."Anyway, I can't wait. I lost my phone during the battle and I really need it back. Hopefully it wasn't destroyed..." Phone? "Kaitou Nagano. I guess it's also nice to make your acquaintance."
"Say Kaitou..." Ringo said as Kaitou finished introducing himself. "If the phone is that important, then I'll join you in the search of it. Where would you say you lost it?" Ringo gave Kaitou a smile as he detached the sheathe from his belt.

Right. This guy absolutely fell under the "bleeding heart" selfless protagonist type. The offer was kind enough but entirely unnecessary-- Kaitou would be fine on his own. On top of that, Ringo seemed to be the type to press on with questions he really didn't want to answer, such as why he had to recover his phone, or rather what was contained in its memory that was so vital to him.
Kaitou noticed that the other brunette had taken his whole sword off of his belt. "...Say, you seem to hold your katana like you might actually know what you're doing," he remarked, gesturing one bandaged hand towards Ringo's sword. Rather than outright declining the other's request (he was sure Spikes would stubbornly insist on escorting him regardless), he'd probably be better off redirecting the topic until he could discreetly leave the scene. The heir's other hand was now loosely gripped around Ikusaba's scabbard, thumb flicking at the tsuba idly. "So what are you? Kendoka? Iaido student? Or are you one of those ambitious Niten-ryu disciples?"

"...Say, you seem to hold your katana like you might actually know what you're doing," Kaitou pointed over at the sheathed blade that Ringo held. "So what are you? Kendoka? Iaido student? Or are you one of those ambitious Niten-ryu disciples?" Ringo looked at his sheathe and smiled.
"I'm a kendoka student, 2-dan. I did start practicing nitojutsu since this sheathe doubles as a weapon." Ringo lowered his as he looked over at Kaitou. "What about you?" Ringo also pointed to Kaitou's uniquely handled sword. "That sword has a really unique handle..."
Post by Kaitou Nagano on Apr 26, 2014 15:59:42 GMT -5
"Hm, 2-dan... I see." Kaitou nodded at the other, folding his arms. "I myself am a 4-dan, though I haven't really been practicing much since I moved to Mosaic City a few months ago. For now, I primarily focus on practicing iaijutsu. I know a few other things here and there, but I prefer single-sword techniques."
As the conversation moved to Ikusaba, Kaitou drew it and held it out in front of Ringo with the blade down, chuckling. "Ah, you mean the tsuba? I suppose it looks a bit ominous, yeah? This sword in general is a bit ghastly-- just holding it makes my hands feel a bit clammy." The brunet spun his blade around before sheathing it, then crossed his arms once again.
"That may or may not be after-effects of these burns, though. Don't quote me on anything."

"Hm, 2-dan... I see." Kaitou began. "I myself am a 4-dan, though I haven't really been practicing much since I moved to Mosaic City a few months ago. For now, I primarily focus on practicing iaijutsu. I know a few other things here and there, but I prefer single-sword techniques." Iaijutsu? Quick drawing techinques? Come to think of it, Ringo could benefit from that seeing as how he is using the sheathe constantly.
"Ah, you mean the tsuba?" Kaitou took out the sword and presented it to Ringo. I suppose it looks a bit ominous, yeah? This sword in general is a bit ghastly-- just holding it makes my hands feel a bit clammy." Come to think of it, Ringo feels the same way about Hina. Granted, picking a sword off the ground and using it, no matter what in good condition it was in, is kind of eyebrow raising in of itself. Kaitou spun the blade before placing it back in its sheathe. "That may or may not be after-effects of these burns, though. Don't quote me on anything." Ringo was morbidly curious what Kaitou fought.
"Then maybe you shouldn't be spinning swords." Ringo said. "Anyhow..." Ringo continued to walk not too far from Kaitou, looking around and keeping his eyes peeled for Kaitou's phone. "What kind of phone is it?"
Post by Kaitou Nagano on Apr 27, 2014 16:55:58 GMT -5
"Hey, hey, come on. Swordplay is more than just a combat art." Kaitou drew his sword again, spinning it from hand to hand before letting it fall into the scabbard. A particularly dangerous stunt, but a practiced one nonetheless. He didn't get to show off all that often in town.
The subject moved back to his phone, prompting him to roll his eyes and put his hands up to wave them dismissively. He immediately regretted stretching his arms that far but did not wince or comment on the pain. "Look, look. I appreciate the gesture, but I really don't need any help finding my phone. I'll be fine. 'Sides, it's not even here." He pointed further down the road towards some faraway buildings. "I lost it in the car factory, so I'll have to return to retrieve it."
"...For the record, however, it's a Galaxy S2. Kind of old. I was going to replace it before I came to Mosaic City, but I forgot."

"Hey, hey, come on. Swordplay is more than just a combat art." Ringo took a step back as Kaitou drew his sword, spun it hand to hand, and letting to fall the sword into its scabbard. He clearly wanted to show this off to someone considering the delicacy and skill of the movements. "Look, look. I appreciate the gesture, but I really don't need any help finding my phone. I'll be fine. 'Sides, it's not even here." Ringo figured as much. "I lost it in the car factory, so I'll have to return to retrieve it." The car factory was a bit ways from here. Though thanks to that mission and the fact that he awakened his persona in the car factory in the first place, Ringo is quite familiar with the space. "...For the record, however, it's a Galaxy S2. Kind of old. I was going to replace it before I came to Mosaic City, but I forgot."
"Okay then we can head over there then. I'm familiar with the place plus it's the place where I awakened to my Persona." Ringo looked around and smiled as he found a path over to the place. He started to walk over, taking a look at Kaitou to make sure he is following.

Kaitou rolled his eyes and sighed. The guy didn't know how to take a hint, did he? Ringo began to walk off towards the factory, but he stayed put, tapping his foot on the ground until the other turned around to check on him.
"Spikes. While I appreciate your forwardness in wishing to help me, I'll be fine on my own. I've become just a little familiarized with the factory since I almost got the skin melted off my body last night." That wasn't fun. "And before you go off on a worried tirade about how I look like death, don't. I know that already."
Well, mostly fine. All that talking had kind of worn him down, so he located the nearest large rock and plopped down on it. "But if you don't have anything else to do--which I'm pretty sure you don't--sit around for a while and amuse me. How long have you been fighting Shadows?"

Ringo heard Kaitou sighed as he turned around. He...wasn't following him. Ringo arched an eyebrow for a moment as to why he would do such a thing. He needed his phone right?
"Spikes. While I appreciate your forwardness in wishing to help me, I'll be fine on my own. I've become just a little familiarized with the factory since I almost got the skin melted off my body last night." Ringo didn't say anything but Ringo's facial expression more or less told Kaitou and himself that just gave him more reason why he should escort Kaitou. "And before you go off on a worried tirade about how I look like death, don't. I know that already."
"I can find someone who can heal you if you really insist on going alone you know." Kaitou went over to the nearest large walk and sat himself down. Ringo himself sat himself down on another rock not too far.
"But if you don't have anything else to do--which I'm pretty sure you don't--sit around for a while and amuse me. How long have you been fighting Shadows?" Ringo felt the request could've been better worded but he might as well answer.
"About the four plus months. For the first two months I didn't even have a Persona." Ringo placed his sword down beside him but didn't lift his hand from it. "As such my powers are a touch under developed in comparison to everyone else..."
