Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

"You sure this is the right place lad?" Lloyd said, looking around the terminal. "It looks kind of...empty. Like the place is ruined. I know that this quarantine is bad, but I'd think there'd be guards in a place like this." He said, cautiously putting a hand on one of his pistols. "Are you tricking me lad? Who else is done here that you've got waiting in here to attack me." Lloyd clearly wasn't all to trusting of Vice in this situation. After all, he'd been promised a way out and was now in a run down train terminal that lacked any sign of life.
"Or you could lower the volume of your voice so it doesn't echo around the place."
Vice commented as he shot the eye patched man a withering look. Really, he understood that this was all new to the guy, and that it was pretty new to him too not too long ago but still. At least he had the mindset not to make too much noise in what should have been a tightly guarded area by the military. Specially since this led to what was outside the quarantined area.
"And don't you even think of pulling the trigger on that gun of yours. Just follow me and I'll show you what the hell's up."
The younger of the two ordered as he himself opened his biker's jacket to reveal the hidden firearm in them. Readying them into his hands, with the safety already unlocked and his finger on trigger lock, Vice quietly continued down the rail.

Lloyd grumbled a little but kept a hand on his pistol. He still didn't really trust Vice down here, but the fact that they'd evaded the guards so far was good for him. "So, lad, what do I have to expect outside the wall? Do they have any idea what's going on in here? Are there other quarantines or are we the only one due to our chemical spill or whatever they're saying." Lloyd said, looking around the tunnel. "So, should we be worried about a train coming or something? I mean, sure the city's blocked off, but there's bound to be train's outside still."

"Outside the wall is what you wanted to have. Freedom from the shackles that bind us here in this place they call paradise. Thing is, it's probably going to be a hell lot more different than what you'd ever expect freedom to be. You might even prefer being stuck inside the city once you get a taste of it."
Vice answered, his body still tensed at the prospect of some random shadow jumping them. This place led to the outside so it also meant that whatever was outside could probably use this entrance to get into the city as well. Ahah, that'd be the day people would literally shit their pants in fear. A massive invasion of shadows into the city that, at the most, probably only has a handful of people who are actually capable of fending them off? That might be a good book actually.
"The Train is dead and so is this entire place. No need to worry about it and just keep your guard up."
Vice noted as a crashing sound from the distance echoed out into the vicinity.

"What the..." Lloyd said as he looked out at the city. He then panicked and pulled out a pistol, pointing it at Vice. "What the hell did you do here lad! Where's the world I knew before the quarantine. And...And what the hell is up with this fog?" The one eyed thief began to notice the air become darker and take on a strange hue. "What...why. This doesn't make sense." He began to slowly lower his pistol. Then he shook his head, trying to be some what himself. "Alright. Answers, what's going on here. The world wasn't like this before they locked us in there, what's happening?"
"Answers as to what happened here? As to what this is and how it'd happen? I can't answer that because I don't know myelf."
Vice answered truthfully as he turned around to face Lloyd. He already knew what this desolate land looked like and he'd already explored a part of it even. He didn't have the answers to everything and telling the guy a lie would probably just put a bulls through his skull. He allowed the older man to mellow out for a bitto get his bearings of the place as he looked up in awe at the site before him. Vice knew the feeling, he himself explored it the first chance be got even.
"Whatever it is though, it's a ticket outside the walls. Filled with monsters and hazards to you health, yes, but nonetheless it's what you were looking for right?"
Vice nodded to himself as he looked at Lloyd straight in his only available eye.
"I'm sure that you wouldn't be spreading this information to everyone. Not everyone's ready to see this reality yet, and is rather avoid needless dead people littering the place."

Lloyd was only half paying attention. The fog around him was becoming thicker and thicker. It was closing in. Strange sounds. Figures moving. "What's out there!" He shouted, firing off a shot into the fog. "Get away from me!" He shot again. Then he turned and pointed it Vice. "Get me the hell out of here lad. You've poisoned me, haven't you? That's what this all is. Some cheap trick, an illusion." He said, turning again and shooting another shadow. "MAKE IT STOP!" He shouted, screaming before falling to his knees, clutching his head. "Get...me...out... They're out there...in the fog..."
Vice said as he saw the older of the two freak out. Panic firing into the shadows was just him wasting both bullets and attracting the monsters to their position. He gave an irritated sigh when the man continued his streak and decided to just stroll over to him while he was busy firing off at the nothing in the shadows and with a heavy fist, socked the guy across his chin the moment he turned with enough force to actually make the guy fall back down while hopefully snapping him out from the panicking.
"Fucking man up you little shit."
Vice said, his voice devoid of emotion as he stared dully at the man who was now on the floor.
"Those things can be killed, I've killed a few on my own even. This isn't an illusion either and this is the goddamn reality we live in."
His voice began to grow louder yet the emotion that was supposed to accompany it did not exist.
"You wanted freedom didn't you? Well freedom was never for free! You gave up your ignorance to the world and now you can't turn a blind eye to it! Stand up, reload your gun, and aim this time! There's two of us, and I can carry the fight if I have to."
Vice turned around as he grabbed his own revolver from his jacket and readied it.

Lloyd put a hand to his jaw, checking to make sure it wasn't broken. Vice had quite the punch, that was for sure. "Damn lad..." He muttered, standing up. "You make a strong point." The older man said, reloading his first pistol and pulling out his second. "Now let's kill these things." The fog was beginning to clear some. It was still there, but Lloyd could see through it. The drunkard began to fire, this time hitting shadows. "I hope ya can keep up with me lad." Lloyd said, getting in the rhythm of the fight. Shooting shadows effectively and consistently.
Vice snarked with a grin as he began to pace backwards. He was more used to the environment than the other civilian in the vicinity so it more or less fell on him to make sure that nothing bad happened to the guy. That'd be one less able body for future endeavours and Vice could use as many people as he could if he wanted to get anywhere with the projects he'd be testing.
"C'mon, you got your kicks for seeing the outside world."
The red eyed teenager hollered out as he fired a couple more bullets at the nearing shadows. He was more or less moving back faster because he had to make sure to cover both their front and Lloyd's back. These shadows had a thing for getting people with surprise attacks. Talking from the numerous times he got blind sided, Vice was pretty much it was bound to happen again sooner or later.
"It's high time we get the bloody hell out of here."

"Couldn't agree with ya more lad." Lloyd said as he made is way back to the tunnel. Firing off his last round from each pistol he shoved them back into his holsters. "Let's get out of here." He said, entering the train tunnel and starting to catch his breath. The fog didn't seem to follow him in. "Alright lad. What the hell were those things, and why do I have a feeling this isn't the last time I'm going to be meeting them?" Lloyd said, using the time to reload his pistols. "So...the world came to an end while we're all locked up in here."
It didn't take long for the duo to finally get back to the terminal where the air wasn't as thick as outside and that the number of possible enemies couldn't compare to the hell hole that was outside. Nonetheless, Vice kept his guard up in order to make sure that getting hit from behind would have less chances of happening. Not even breathing heavily, the young man took the moment to look for a safer place to stay for the time being. It wouldn't do to discuss matters in the middle of an area where one could easily be spotted.
"Those things are called Shadows and aside from the fact they're deadlier than any human in the world in terms of physical capability, I've got nothing on them. In regards to what really happened to the outside world…I'm not really quite sure on how to start with that."

"The start would be a good place." Lloyd said, pulling out his pipe and lighting it. "Unless you'd prefer to confuse me anymore then start wherever the hell you want lad." He said, blowing off a puff of smoke. "Clearly you found out about it from someone else and not just stumbled upon it yerself. Something like this is too hard to just come by on yer own." He then leaned up against the wall and looked down the tunnel. "There's probably some better way to fight them too, isn't there. Sure bullets worked well, but there were so damn many of those things out there. A couple guns just isn't enough."
"Provided, old timer, that what I said was an expression. Bottom line is that I've got squat in terms of intel on how all of this started. Hell, that's one of the damn reasons I'm actually going here whenever I can."
Reloading the revolver as he took his time inspecting the tunnel for anything else, Vice tried to think of what else would be beneficial to share in this situation.
"Guns are enough, even normal beat sticks are. You just gotta make sure to hit them hard enough and you can dodge fast enough. Been how I've been dealing with them ever since I found out about this place."
Pulling out his phone and moving the menus around, the young man then opened up a list of contacts he had that were in the know of these things and…decided to dial in Seiji's number.
"I can try to set up a meeting with someone who might know more than I do. With that said, if you fuck up it won't be on my head--and you're gonna owe me even bigger."

Lloyd nodded at what Vice had to say. "Alright lad, sign me up then. Any excuse to get out of the city, I'll take. I feel I should mention that I don't exactly have any way to communicate with you. No cell phone or any thing of the sort. You want to talk to me, you have to find me." He paused to use his pipe. "Of course, it's not hard to find me. There aren't to many English bums with eye patches in this city, One could say we're a dying breed, the poor and destitute. Same with everyone. Shame really. Find when when you find someone who will meet with me to discuss things. I'll see you around lad." Lloyd said before stalking back towards the city.
