Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Akira could only smile when the boy heard her words. Seemed like she had few contacts. It was a sad circumstance, but one he believed the girl would be able to fix on her own. She went on, though, mentioning the occupation. If it was a private investigator, then there was a certain woman that came to mind. Well, better to not worry about that too much. So long as Amane was not in immediate danger, he could just silently seethe with pent up rage. She then turned the question around. And then shot a rather curious question his way. He “seemed” to know a lot of people. Was that actually a cunning ploy to get information, or was she just trying to change topics? Either way, he couldn't fault her.
”I'm not sure where you get your information, since I don't think I've mentioned many friends to you. But, you're right. I do know a lot of people, and from all walks of life, at that.” He smiled at her and set the spoon down. His hands came together. How to summarize everything neatly? ”Typical explorations. Covered the hospital, mines, and the crater. Found shiny rocks for a certain blonde woman. Developed my powers. Got new gear.” He relaxed for a moment before finally sitting back.
”Trying to accumulate as much information regarding our enemies while keeping myself as healthy as possible, basically.” He nodded, sat forward, and gripped his spoon. ”Also, be careful when dealing with investigators. Especially the variety that lack our gifts. And if you need information for the outer areas, I may be able to assist you.” He closed before scooping and resuming the consumption of the sweet titan.

”I'm not sure where you get your information, since I don't think I've mentioned many friends to you. But, you're right. I do know a lot of people, and from all walks of life, at that.” Ran placed her spoon down for a moment. ”Typical explorations. Covered the hospital, mines, and the crater. Found shiny rocks for a certain blonde woman. Developed my powers. Got new gear.” So Ran did some things for that blonde woman too? Come to think of it, Amane still couldn't get a grasp on what in the world she is....
"I see..."
”Trying to accumulate as much information regarding our enemies while keeping myself as healthy as possible, basically.” Nothing too out of the ordinary what Amane and a couple of other persona users are doing then. ”Also, be careful when dealing with investigators. Especially the variety that lack our gifts. And if you need information for the outer areas, I may be able to assist you.” Does an investigator that already knows a good chunk of the situation count? However, going to Ran might be a better idea...in the fact that it won't land herself in a maid outfit.
"I see...thank you." It might be better anyways. Ran is more experienced than she is and while she has not observed Ran's persona, she can assume it is more powerful than hers. "Is there anything else?" Amane might as well ask considering she is still technically on duty. Doesn't stop her from taking another few bites of the yogurt though.

Akira just blinked when the maid asked if there was anything else. Well, sure. If the boy were to be entirely serious and put together his information on Shadows, he could have potentially put together a book and sold it, if he utilized enough filler text and long-winded explanations at least. But that was beside the point. Slowly, the crossdresser shrugged, taking another spoonful to his lips and tilting his head to the side, hands lowering despite the spoon waggling in his mouth. The metal was entirely at the mercy of his teeth.
”Be a little more specific, please. What would you like to know, Amane?” He asked lightly, through the spoon, with seemingly no difficulty in remaining cohernent.

”Be a little more specific, please. What would you like to know, Amane?” Well many things actually. There was something that was bothering her. Amane looked over at Ran after taking another bite of the parfait. Knowing how active Akira is, it is likely that he knew about that strange time. She placed her spoon down and looked at Akira.
"Did the sky seem weird one night?" Amane would've looked like a mad girl if she stated specifics such as the sky turning green and most liquids turning red as if they were blood. "Specifically on the full moon?" That detail she felt safe about giving out.

Akira blinked. The girl asked a perfectly natural question, yes, but she had tacked on an interesting tid-bit. He lifted a finger, signaling for her to wait. He pulled out his, “Ran's”, phone. Opening it, he opened up the calendar and compared it to a moon chart. And it seemed that the girl was onto something. He hadn't bothered paying attention to the moon that evening. Probably because he was only just-awakened when the whole issue began. Either way, he hadn't bothered checking until then. Mostly because he wouldn't be able to pinpoint anything until the second major baddy appeared. With a slight “huh”, he put the phone away. The crossdresser just smiled at her.
”That was a good call. I hadn't bothered to pay attention to the moon phase. But, yes. A particularly large Shadow that seemed to be themed towards a grim reaper appeared in the graveyard.” Forget subtlety. He was fine with just saying it at that point.
”That was a good call. I hadn't bothered to pay attention to the moon phase. But, yes. A particularly large Shadow that seemed to be themed towards a grim reaper appeared in the graveyard.” Amane can't hide her small moment of shock. That means even inside the inner circle it wasn't safe. There was no place that the Shadows can not touch. It was worse than she at first thought. Would this place eventually transform into a place like the outside? She wouldn't dare think about it.
"I see...and knowing our luck something like this will repeat again." Amane laid back in defeat as she placed another spoonful of yogurt looking annoyed. A coworker quickly and silent demonstrated the posture she should be in before Amane reluctantly went back into working position. "I'll likely join the next time." Amane said. "I might as well see one of these things myself and if they are going around the inner circle I can't just let them be now can I."

”That's the spirit. The more the merrier, I believe. I'm not a pushover, either. If things get messy, I'll do what I can to protect you and all the others.” While it could be seen as an attempt at flirting, the crossdresser's intents were hardly on that field in this particular occasion. He meant what he said. He had every intention of doing what he could to protect his fellow Users. As well as the uncommon civilian that got tangled into the mess, but they really were a special case. It seemed that, despite his original intentions, their sitting down and sharing sweets was turning into more and more of a strategy meeting. Of sorts.
”Just be sure to pace yourself, whatever you do. It wouldn't do at all for you to overwork yourself and faint again.” A warm smile curled his lips. ”I don't want to be known as 'most likely to carry girls piggyback', y'know?” He had to get a jab in somehow, while still warning her. He succeeded, and giggled lightly, before taking another spoonful of the parfait. The dessert would soon meet its end.
”That's the spirit. The more the merrier, I believe. I'm not a pushover, either. If things get messy, I'll do what I can to protect you and all the others.” Amane believed that. Ran had a protective nature shown when she was willing to help a then stranger. ”Just be sure to pace yourself, whatever you do. It wouldn't do at all for you to overwork yourself and faint again.” Amane looked away at the mention of that incident turning red. ”I don't want to be known as 'most likely to carry girls piggyback', y'know?”
"And your half hour is up milady." Amane said in her own petty retaliation. Technically it has been about twenty nine minutes but who is counting? She got up and then bowed politely as she collected the plate that held the parfait cup. "If you will excuse me, I have to attend to my other customers milady." Amane started to head off to have these dishes cleaned. She sighed in relief to herself for a variety of reasons. One, the twisted point system in the first place, but more importantly two, it wasn't as embarrassing as she thought it was going to be. One could actually observe a small smile on her face...until it dawned on to her that Ran could just use more points...or that someone would use points on her in the potential future. She better steal herself for the next few days.

Akira was only amused when Amane decided to leave. Keeping a pleasant smile so long as the girl was within ear's reach of him, he then let out a quiet chuckle. Seemed that he had done well enough in teasing her. Well, he got some decent information out of the whole situation, so it wasn't like he had too many issues with the exchange being cut short. With a slight sigh, he stretched out, eventually standing and paying off his bill before leaving. What would he do for the rest of the evening? The boy in drag had not decided. He really needed to go burn off those calories, though, so perhaps a short period of Shadow-wrecking was in order?
