Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Maria opened to book to see some text and large images to be drawn under or above the text. The texts were usually about 4-5 lines long, sometimes a 6 or 7 lines. The lines themselves weren't long either. But it was perfect for children about four to six year old. "I think it's good for little children, but don't try to entertain children older then 7 with it, I don't think they will it much." She said, but maybe those children liked to read too. She heard that in some other school children from grade 2 or 3 went to read to the kindergarten once or twice a year.

"Do you want to find some more?" Maria asked the younger girl. "It isn't good to read many stories to children at once. You need to give them time to let the story get into their mind." She told Isolde if she was going to get some more. Two was fine, and maybe three too. But four would be too many. Also children had a lot of energy. If they had to sit still that long they would get bored eventually too. They shouldn't sit still all day but also come out and play. They also needed someone to watch that. A lot of children just can't play fair and then some kind of quarrel only a stone throw away.

So she still wanted to find some more books. That was fine, she also went to search for some more. The library had such a large collection so they could search for a while. She tried to remember what her parents used to read to her. But that was so long ago. When she came to get books for children in he class she looked after books that were read in other classes and what her parents used to read to her. Of course as new books were written she also could use more and more books. But with the recent blockade it was hard to get new books from the outside. "That could be a good one!"Maria said after Isolde showed her another book. It seemed they were gathering quiet the amount of books of how to handle fear so maybe they could expand on that. "Do you know what both these books have in common?" She asked Isolde. Wondering what she would answer.

"Indeed" Maria answered though the last part was irrelevant. What was in the past was in the past and they need to think about the future, off themselves and of others. "How about we try to find more books about dealing with fear. In times like these I think that could be useful." Maria asked. She wasn't entirely sure as the entire situation was new to her as well. She wondered how much Isolde knew about it. Maria hoped she wasn't another persona user dragged into this. Enough People were dragged in it as it was. She couldn't find any book immediately but she kept searching.

indeed it was. These children still asked her every day what was happening and how it all was happening. She really couldn't answer with. 'oh some monsters are slowly in some areas of the city and it might be only a matter of time before they finally decide to attack us and kill us all.' Cause that was how she saw it for now. She wasn't entirely sure but there were still many shadows out there. She kept searching till she found a book that was about a child that was afraid of water cause it couldn't swim. She quickly went though the book and mainly looked at the pictures and only quickly reading some of the text. Basically the boy eventually learned to swim and overgrew his fear of water. This could be a good one. "How about this one?" Maria asked Isolde. She really wondered what she found of this book.

"Alright. I think we have enough for now. Or do you want to search some more for another time?" Maria asked the girl. She already noted that it wasn't good to read to many stories at once. It was almost full moon again and she was wondering what kind of shadow would come this time. Last time there were two but they weren't that bad. Okay they almost killed her once but that was a lucky strike. She was almost certain that they would be stronger this month. Because if they weren't they were training for nothing. Which wouldn't be really good as they could have spent their time better then fighting shadows.

Alright they had enough books now. "Let's bring up front. You still need to show them what you are loaning." She said to the younger girl as she started to walk back to the counter the old lady was sitting at. She quietly waited there till Isolde had caught up. She patiently waited while the girl signed out the books she was loaning. "So do you want to go somewhere else?" She asked the girl. Maybe they could go to the arcade. Maybe they could go to drink something. There might be other possibilities that Maria didn't thought of, and Isolde came up with another idea.

"Alright let's get going!" Maria said after the books were being signed for loaning. She would have to bring them back in three weeks or so. That was the rental time as Maria remembered it. She remembered a nice place at the beach. "I know a great place at the beach. Wanna go there, or do you have something better in mind?" Maria asked Isolde. She remembered going there with Sakuya. It was a real nice place with a great view over the sea. Okay it was a walk of about half an hour but in this city that was relative. She would first hear Isolde's thought on this, she might just have a better place.

"Alright let's get going" Maria asked as she left the building. She wondered where exactly Isolde was. In order to find out she asked a question she usually asked to others about this subject. "What do you think of the lock down?" Maria asked curiously. By asking this she didn't outright told someone she was a persona user but she could be hinting at that. Another persona user might notice that, but a normal civilian wouldn't notice that she most likely knew more then them. "Don't you think it's outrageous that they lock us up here and not tell us why?" Maria asked. Granted, maybe they wanted to save us some kind of horror story but Maria already found out as much. Maybe it had been better for her if she never awakened but ignoring what was going on wouldn't solve it.

She had to be a little subtle with this. She didn't want to be the clown of the city. Like what would normal people say if she told she was going outside the safe areas in the city and started blasting shadows while shouting 'Persona Persona!' or something. Anyone with a little sense would call her crazy or laugh at her unless they saw it themselves. Maria would admit that even she wouldn't believe it unless she saw so herself. Wait a minute did she just said the barrier could be destroyed. Maria always heard that was impossible. "Wait a minute... Did you just say it is possible to destroy the wall? Maria asked Isolde. Cause she was told by everyone that it would be impossible. "Yea, it's really strange isn't it? Have you noticed something strange lately?" She curiously asked the other girl. She might just get the clue there if it was as Maria thought it was. If she knew that the wall could be destroyed she most likely knew some more as well.

She could imagine. She remembered a fight with that car shadow. Strange as it was it was extremely though.By what she remembered of that fight was that if Layla and Tristan weren't there then it would have surely spelled her doom. But that might just have been for the other two as well. Well she was the only one to pass nearly pass out in that fight. But that was some time ago. That was when Pixie was her persona. Things changed so much lately. Now that she remembered some doors did open after she defeated the car. "So you think the large barrier is the same as the smaller ones in the city?" Maria asked Isolde. It didn't seem that illogical. If the smaller barriers could be broken maybe the large one too. She however didn't want to think about the massive creature that would guard it though. It would most likely be either very big or very strong, most likely both. A high presence of shadows and persona users? If the persona users disappeared then they were most likely dead. These shadows were dangerous and could kill anyone at anytime if they were unprepared. Somehow, Maria thought they didn't have seen the worst of everything yet.

So Isolde really believed they were the same, only on a larger scale. It could be possible. But wait... If there were multiple barriers in a single building. Then maybe there were multiple barriers that barricaded the city. Each would most likely be guarded by an immensely powerful shadow, or maybe something entirely else. What if the shadows were only the soldiers of what was to come? Maria didn't thought about the possibilities before. However there was no real proof that something like that was true. It might be worthwhile to look into the next time she ventured in shadow infested areas. "So... Then you most likely have a persona too?" Maria asked Isolde. There wasn't much use in hiding it anymore. She was clearly known about the shadows, and most likely about the persona as well then.
"Why, yes. I have one too." She answered the younger girl. So yes it seemed Isolde was a persona user too. It was strange that a lot of people she met suddenly were persona users. Partly she was happy that she found another persona user. On the other side she felt bed for Isolde to be in all this mess. But she was in here too, and they weren't save yet. Even if things looked so peaceful right now. "So, care to tell what your persona specializes in?" Maria asked curiously. She should tell hers too, but she would only depending on what Isolde was going to say. She might just not tell her, if she chooses to do so as well.
An Ice persona? Maria wondered how that worked. But well, she blasted enemies away with wind which was even more strange. "My persona has Wind capabilities. Don't ask me how that works just that it does, she also seems to be able to heal wounds and cure severe ailments." She told the girl as they arrived on the beach side. It would only be a short walk to the shop she mentioned earlier. Here they could sit down and drink something. With her persona's power she would protect this city, her friends and her family from the shadows. She didn't know what was in store for her but it was still pretty scary even after how far she came up till now.

The name of her persona? sure it wouldn't harm to tell her that. "My persona is Pixie." She said, which she was sure was not a name but a creature. It was just some generic creature but it's better then nothing, and it saved her life more then she could count. "So who, or what is your persona?" She asked Isolde. It most likely wasn't a random creature but at least a creature with a name, as she asked behind her name. She then saw the place she was searching for. "It's here. Let's go! She said as she neared the place. She went on the terrace and sat down.
