Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Quinn had been following the girl for a while now. Most of the persona users he'd observed had been fairly boring. They typically just wanted to fight shadows due to the fact that they were stuck here. Most had simple lives they'd lived thus far and didn't really strike his fancy though. This girl, Isolde was her name, was different. She had a strange past. Her parents solved mystery and her ancestors ruled the great hypocritical empire that was none of the things that it's name claimed it was. So, the fact that she wandered the street, dressed regally to display her heritage, drew the crazed clown to her. "Now, to cause an act of fate." Quinn said, leaping from a roof and landing in an alley, tossing one of his needles out low enough that it would trip the girl.
"Oh darn. I was truly hoping to drag this game out for a long time." Quinn said as his cover was blown. Typically he was better at hiding then this. The shadow honestly felt that perhaps he was doing quite well at hiding. This girl was better than he took her for. "Ok. You caught me. I'll come out now." Quinn then stepped out from the alley. However, he stepped out from an alley beyond Isolde on the opposite side from where she seemed to be looking. "Surprise." He said, throwing up his hands as the needle trip wire vanished from the path in a small puff of smoke. "So, you found me hiding. I must say, that is quite the fight. Still, it makes me wonder, what is a good girl like yourself doing in a place like this so late at night?"
"Night is when people need to laugh the most. I look around here at night and see so many people walking around glumly and think of ways to put a smile on their face. You however, milady. You were different. You are out here and yet you show no sadness. You aren't even hiding it by imbibing. So, what is your secret Isolde Imperatrice?" Quinn wondered if the girl would notice the fact that he knew her name. "Why is it that you can wander in this place without showing much emotion. You seem so calm, yet there are monsters that lurk in the night now."
"Oh, you are a brave one, and a quick brave one at that." Quinn said, laughing a little. "Oh, you really are a fool, and I'm the one dressed like this. No matter how much you hide that fear, it's there. Someone deep inside of you." He said, pointing a long gloved finger at her chest. "And eventually, everything bubbles up and escapes. It's only a matter of time before that fear becomes too much for you Princess Isolde Impertice. Then this little mask of bravery. This charade of honor and nobility. It'll all come tumbling down." Quinn vanished and then reappeared behind her again. "You've been warned."
"Oh, more brave words princess." Quinn said, using mock fear in his voice to taunt her more. "What would your...parents think about you now your majesty?" He said, starting to walk away, but then stopping and turning to face her at the mention of her parents. "You were the apple of your father's eye, weren't you? He had great plans for you. Then they drove a bit too fast. Or was it that someone else made a mistake. Perhaps it was all a set up. I bet you'd like to know Isolde Impertice." Quinn said, smiling as he drilled her with rhetorical questions. "What if I said I could help you find out how your parents really died. Perhaps it has something to do with your heritage, and perhaps it has something to do with why you are stuck here. The choice is yours Isolde. Run away from your past. Or try and set it right."
