Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Gin felt another ice crystal encase him before exploding inwards. Then he felt pain. He shook himself of the ice and was hit by Phoebe's hammer. Again. That was getting old. Still, Gin's biggest threat currently was Isolde. If he could just force her to stop casting, that would make it easier to focus on Phoebe.
With a smile, the shadow decided on what to do. Silence worked well, but it was a rare occurrence. However, Gin could drain Isolde, which would force her to exhaust herself if she were to cast any further. After all, he could see that casting was already taking its toll on the girl. So, with a simple jump over Phoebe and Isolde, Gin was behind them. He turned towards Isolde and opened his mouth; as he did this, blue energy swirled from Isolde and to the tiger.
The girl's energy tasted wonderful. In fact, it almost tasted like a definite victory.

Phoebe was getting massively frustrated by now. She was as useful as a knife in a soup-bowl right now and that really bothered her. Gin was getting up to some tricks that, while cunning and sneaky, she really didn't appreciated.
She mouthed some curses. She made rude gestures. And she glared.
At least with Isolde behind her she could tackle the slashing attacks, but Gin could still go around her with spells. And her power was still sealed.
Well, thank goodness for her hammer and boosted striking ability, at least. Small comforts. She charged Gin again, feeling irritated she had to keep chasing this overgrown pussy cat all over the place, and swung her hammer at him with rightful frustration.

Gin was starting to hurt. The ice attacks were taking their toll, and the hammer strikes weren't helping. The tiger needed to step up his game, but he wasn't sure which spell to use. It could make a major difference when weaknesses come into play, and the shadow recognized this.
Still, he needed to show them that he can fight back. He needed them to be able to take even the strongest of hits. He decided on what he should do. He charged his energy, preparing for his next attack before releasing the energy as exactly that- pure energy. It swept across the battlefield, dealing Major Almighty Damage!
He hoped they could withstand it; for if they couldn't, they had a long road ahead of them.

Phoebe was seriously hurting after that powerful energy blast that hit them. It left her with her ears ringing but she could still stand and fight, mostly due to the buffing spell that had automatically applied on her and Isolde. They'd drawn this out long enough so she wasn't sure how far Gin was willing to take it. She stood up, cursing.
"Son of a bitch..."
And like that, she realized she could speak now. The silencing spell had worn off!
Phoebe shook herself down and thought. The best thing to do was keep attacking with her hammer but really, she could only do that much. What they needed was drastic intervention. Hypatia appeared again when the card was tapped and she looked ready and raring for battle.
"How long are we going to do this? Makajam!" Phoebe growled, hoping the silence spell would work on Gin and force him to surrender.

Gin was hit by another ice spell, which hurt like a bitch. However, the tiger realized that Feebs was talking again. Which meant she could cast again. Which meant that she would go for payback. Of course, she tried to. Fortunately, her spell didn't work.
Gin considered trying to silence her again but decided against it. He needed to focus on damage for the time being. After pumping out another spell, maybe; until then, he needed to make sure that he made Phoebe regret trying to do that. The shadow looked at her and started to grin before looming over her. He needed to make sure she couldn't cast, and silence was against the odds.
He started to drain her energy, savoring the taste as he did.

Phoebe grunted when Gin's spell hit her and she inexplicably felt like something tearing at her mind, like a low, throbbing migraine. It reminded her of the feeling she got when she was running low on the mental energy needed to cast spells and she uttered a foul curse under her breath. So Gin was trying to suck energy from her. That dirty little fuzzball.
She was frustrated that her attempts to silence him hadn't worked and now she had to decide: try again, or go in and just try to hammer him into submission? Isolde was doing a good job with the high-power ice spells and honestly, silencing him would pretty much force him to surrender and end this spar because Phoebe could sit there all day deflecting his slash attacks. Besides, the silence spell was less of a drain on her than others.
"Hypatia, again," Phoebe hissed and kept watching Gin.
Hypatia swung her shield arm, casting a series of green chains upon Gin. Absently, Phoebe wondered if he'd stop if she called quits on the fight.

Ice was cold. Gin was getting sick of having to relive this fact over and over, but he felt something new. The chains from Phoebe seemed to hold, and when he attempted to speak he couldn't. She had succeeded in silencing him, it appeared.
He knew that Phoebe nullified slash, so he could do nothing. If he were to attack Isolde, Phoebe could simply refrain from attacking and take the blow instead. Gin was impressed. The tiger changed to human form and smiled.
He couldn't say anything, but he walked to Phoebe and shook her hand. Still grinning, the shadow approached Isolde. He doubted she could keep going, so he changed and slashed at her, grinning with malicious intent.

"Aw yeah," Phoebe muttered when her silencing spell held. About frickin' time.
She was about to commence another attack when Gin suddenly resumed his human form and walked up to her. Somewhat confused, Phoebe stood still and let him approach just to watch him... shake her hand. ...What?
Hey, hey, focus! Hypatia blurted and nudged her with her shield.
Gin had turned around and was back into tiger form and assaulting Isolde.
"Hey--HEY! Gin! What gives!" Phoebe blurted and dashed after him, Hypatia rushing in time to block the swipe.
It hit her shield and Phoebe ran to get between Isolde and Gin again, cursing. Okay, they gave him a chance to surrender and he didn't take it. Therefore, Phoebe had the all clear to put some kick up his fuzzy butt. She was getting low on energy but she needed something with a bit more oomph than a hammer swing.
"Hypatia, if you please... a little divine fury on the kitty. Zionga," Phoebe grumbled.
Hypatia seemed almost happy to oblige, striking her shield and thrusting her spear heavenwards, summoning down a crackling bolt of lightning onto Gin.

The tiger was surprised when Phoebe had enough time to block the attack, but he smiled. He was running low on his power, but he would hold out as long as he could. If he could just force the two girls to wear themselves out, he would definitely win.
When Isolde used the most powerful yet draining spell Gin had encountered, the tiger knew that he was about to reach his goal. Surely, after that she would be unable to cast, given the strain of the previous spells and the draining of her power. Still, it hurt. The tiger had little strength left compared to what he had started with and- What is Phoebe doing?
The tiger was hit with a bolt of lightning, provoking what would have been a scream could he have produced sound. He looked at the woman, eyes filled with pain, rage, and humiliation. Even if he couldn't speak, the message was clear: "You're gonna pay for that."
The tiger looked around for a place where he could wait out the silence. When he looked back up at the skyscraper that made for his perch earlier, he smiled at the girls. Then he quickly bounded up the side of the building, determined not to give up. He couldn't lose to these two, not yet. All he had to do was wait for the silnce to wear off and he could heal.

Phoebe panted and stared right back at Gin after the lightning bolt hit him. Oh dear, that looked like it really hurt him just about as much as her hammer. Gin must have another weakness to lightning. He glared at her in a thoroughly hurtful and angry manner and she got the message. He was pissed.
"Hey, you wanted a fight!" Phoebe snapped at him. "Oi! Where are you going!?"
Gin scurried off and Phoebe saw him clamber up a building and perch there - evidently waiting out the silence spell. She frowned up at him. "Gin, that's stupid - I don't want to continue this until either of us is a smear on the pavement! I'd say we've all had enough training, so I'm calling it quits. Seriously. You can just sit up there and sulk. I didn't fight for winning or losing with you, just to test myself. And I refuse to take this further than we have to."

Gin looked down as he heard Phoebe claim that she was done. She apparently didn't realize that he was in the middle of his own training. He needed to figure out ways to get around things such as this, as the two girls needed to. However, all he did was waste some time to get rid of the silence.
He could weather some more hits, but he was going to need to heal soon. That said, he needed to continue the fight. Now, the building the tiger was on was pretty tall. Possibly tall enough o give him some momentum should he jump off... At say, Isolde? He pounced, hoping the force of gravity would speed his descent enough to get past Phoebe.

Phoebe was just about to turn and leave when she saw Gin move by the corner of her eye. Oh, so death from above, was it? She was still pissed and she rushed forward. She practically shoved past Isolde and Hypatia raised her shield. The Slash attack struck her shield but with a sudden clear sound it bounced back onto Gin thanks to Hypatia's High Counter ability. The momentum of the tiger Shadow still knocked Phoebe flat on her back, although unharmed.
"God... damn it..." she grunted, irritated.
She pushed off the ground, Hypatia shoving Gin backwards using her shield.
"I said I was gonna stand between you and Isolde and I mean it! You're not scurrying off again!"
Phoebe rushed Gin but instead of smacking him with her hammer, she grabbed him by the fur on the sides of his face. It was stupid, it was awkward and dangerous... but right now she was rather too pissed to think it all through. She was going to keep him there or get hauled with him if he decided to run away again.
"Anytime you wanna stop, just nod," she said with a somewhat savage smirk. "Don't worry about hitting me, Isolde."

With a smile, Gin realized what happened. He was now forced into a position where he either surrendered or risked hurting Phoebe. He didn't want to do either of these options, but he couldn't surrender. He knew of one way to evade Phoebe's grasp, and figured it was worth attempting.
He suddenly started to shift forms, with his body shifting and melting and bubbling underneath Phoebe's hands. If she was able to keep hold, she was more than super-human. If she could keep a hold on him, he would have to attempt a shift back. If these didn't succeed before the silence wore off, The tiger would have to attempt defeat.

When Gin started changing forms, Phoebe yelped and let go... but not out of fear or pain, but rather disgust.
"Ugh! Yuck! Gin, that's disgusting, are you doing that on purpose?!" she blurted. "Oh I am so done with this nonsense... You can stay here in silence if you feel like it but I'm done..."
She backed off, with a disgusted cringe on her face and wiped her hands on the thighs of her pants, then put away her hammer as she walked back to Isolde.
"Just leave him be. He's a big kid, he can find his way home," she grumbled. "I've had enough of his nonsense. There's training and there's acting like a big cat and playing with his food," she said grimly, aware that to Gin, every person was pretty much food. "Come on, I'll treat you to a cup of coffee and scones or something."

When Phoebe jumped away, Gin was surprised. Surely it felt odd, but... It wasn't as if he were shedding his skin or something like that. It could always be far worse, and Phoebe should know that. After all, hasn't she been in the catacombs or the sewers?
Still, it seemed that Phoebe was preparing to leave. Gin, now in human form, shrugged and waved. He was still silenced and couldn't say goodbye, but he was going to apologize next time he saw her. Perhaps the next day of school?
Either way, the shadow started to morph into shadow form. He then took his leave, jumping from building to building across the Shadowlands.
