Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Vice told himself, talked to himself, and did what he could to make sure he remained in control of whatever it was he's doing. Every little detail was being scrutinised, from the way his toes curled to how his fingers gripped the rough handle of his weapon. Vice made sure he knew what his body was doing. He'd probably have to either push his awareness even further to make sure nothing bad happened or stay still and solely focus on getting his body to follow him again.
He'd already spent the entire day yesterday doing nothing but resting, meditating, and forcing his body to follow his orders. He would have also spent more time doing it, namely today, had he not been so restless about getting back into the fray. If anything wrong happened during today, well, he'll be attributing all of that to himself.
It was a very devilish smile, full of malignant intent and the sheer want to destroy. This was Vice's own voice speaking, his own mind making the choices, and he was fully in control of himself. The shadow before him wasn't as strong as the others he'd fought, and certainly nothing against that gold rimmed beast that he had taken not too long ago. The two fought, Vice taking up the time to charge up his attacks every time the Antlion decided to slash at him, and dodging what he could of the monster's almighty attacks.
The biker was both excited and amused to find a shadow capable of doing what he did, finally having a chance to compare his power to an enemy he wouldn't mind going all out against, to go for the kill. The opponent's Black Viper connected with Vice who took the brunt of the blow on purpose, smoke rising from the impact and the clothes he was wearing getting tattered at places that couldn't hold up against it. Returning the favour, only this time at a more dangerous extent, Vice smashed down his own Black Viper against the beast.
Having already expended energy against each other, damage already sustained to a less than favourable amount, the third mind charged Black Viper was enough to send the ant lion sprawling down, twitching upside down, and melting into a pool of its own blood. Once more, Vice stood victorious against these things. Now to find that something calling out to him.
Another search, another failure to find what ever it is. There was something nibbling at the back of the biker's mind as he slowly ascended towards the exit of this massive sink hole, and much as the male wanted to ignore it in favour of making sure he still had everything on him, the intensity of the thought simply became stronger that Arondight was slightly shifting more than usual.
Nothing ever flustered the demon inside him, and whatever this was was enough to make said persona be uncomfortable. When Vice decided to tackle the issue, having had enough of the soundless noise in his head, it dissipated. It continued over and over again, at least until Vice forcibly knocked himself out when everything was deemed safe. Maybe the arms of unconsciousness could deal with it. He was too tired to give a fuck about it.
