Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Lot chuckled again at the memory of last night. If he had known then that she was such a strong, pragmatic woman, he would have definitely approached the situation differently. It showed that he still had a little bit to learn about dealing with people. "That should be it for now, at least until we get some more information and we can start actually trying to make a difference." He looked down at his own glass of water. It seemed like things were wrapping up here. He took his own final drink before setting the empty glass down. "And don't go doing anything stupid like running off down there without any backup." He knew she wouldn't listen to that. She would probably run off somewhere to see a shadow right after this meeting. And why not? He was planning to do the exact same thing. Teaming up was nice, but individual recon was nice as well. He stood up and readjusted his coat. "I'll be seeing you around then." He vaguely realized that the line was usually used flirtatiously. That hadn't been his intention... probably.

I shrugged. He knew I wouldn't follow that advice, but I bet he would do just the same. Anyway, I hailed the waitress to ask for the bill and I assumed we would just go dutch and pay for our own crap. "Well, suit yourself..." I said, nodding and yawning after finishing off my water. I idly tapped my fingers against the table again. He seemed a lot more friendly and approachable today. I guess he had the wrong impression of me that time and rushed to battle... Then again, he provoked me as well. Getting the wrong impression of me, and then insulting me for no good reason. Well, all's well that end's well I suppose, aside from this annoying head wound of mine... I think, a normal person might have had a concussion from that. I suppose that training does pay off.

"Later then," Lot said as he turned to leave. The events of the last 24 hours flashed through his mind. If this woman was to be believed, then things were a lot more messed up than he had figured. Forces beyond his comprehension were battling each other for victory, one side defending the humans, the other side trying to... what? He was completely in over his head and he knew that. The thought made him smile as he left the restaurant. Being in over your head is usually more interesting anyways, and I'm sure Alisa and I will be seeing a lot of each other in the future. He decided to head towards the sewers. If the shadows were real, then they would probably be hanging around places people didn't normally go. It was time to see what he was dealing with.

Lot bade goodbye to me as he paid and began to leave. Guy's not so bad if you can prove yourself in a fight, it seemed. I didn't think he was hot stuff, or anything, though. Just a little peculiar. I think he's gone through a lot in life to be this frustrated and mad. Maybe that's why he was sensitive and was so quick to be rash. I had probably touched a nerve, but he retorted and got me back. Oh well, all's well that ends well. He did warn me, but I somehow had a feeling he was going to go somewhere dangerous and then boast to me about it. Ah well. I'm sure I'd have my own war stories to share. As he left I stayed there to enjoy one last glass of water that I asked from the waitress nearby before I said my own goodbyes to STELLA and left the premises, sure to come back again for some delicious pasta.
