Name: Rukako (Luka) Kurokawa
Age: 18
Date of Birth: July 6th
Birthplace: Tohno Village in the Iwate Prefecture of Japan, though moved around many times.
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Unsure. Avoids relations of all kinds.
Face Claim: Tsurara Oikawa - Nurarihyon no Mago
Appearance:
Height: 5ft 3in.
Distinguishing Features: Relatively short, but slender figure covered by her usually loose and baggy clothing. Her hair is a progressively dark blue that fades to black as it grows outward. Her eyes are a striking yellow with odd black circles inside her pupils.
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: XIII: Death
Occupation: High School Student
Weapons and Proficiencies (Optional): Has a little experience with a Naginata, though is utterly terrible with it. Will likely never land a hit with it. Deals slash damage.
Personality: Luka is a girl who keeps to herself, straying away from most if not all unnecessary social interaction. Though, her reclusiveness is a choice rather than simply a lack of social capability. As such, she holds no immediate social anxieties and can maintain "normal" conversation whenever the situation is presented. When speaking she is rather calm, even more so than the average person. Though she may raise her voice, it is never out of anger or annoyance; only from concern or doubt. There are of course, times when her calm demeanor is broken
Beyond what one could learn from speaking with her, Luka is a hard-working individual. Living on her own has made her quite the responsible adult, forcing her adapt by caring for herself. She spends a lot of her free time simply maintaining her apartment's appearance and caring for herself. Despite her reliability, she considers herself useless and unreliable in all aspects. But even further, she considers herself a burden on anyone she may have to rely on. Hence, she outright refuses to rely on someone and vice versa.
The rest of that free time is spent playing various video games or reading manga. She has grown quite a liking for both of these, having little else to do in her free time. Not that she complains, of course. She enjoys both hobbies quite thoroughly. Her favorite manga by far is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, as shown by small portions of her speech and thought processes. As for games, she plays a wide variety of genres. However, she has a strangely unique talent for singing and dancing simulators. She can sometimes be found at local arcades or at the local karaoke place.
Should she receive compliments in regards to her reliability, Luka will simply brush them off without a thought. Conversely, she will take all negative criticism as truth to the point where it nearly seems like she is welcoming it. If one were to have a conversation with her, they would find her to be somewhat of an airhead. Jokes seem to fly over her head and sarcasm is taken quite literally at times. Though her speech is polite, sometimes even warm despite her social barrier she has placed upon herself. She will even let people call her by her nickname quite commonly upon meeting. Of course this should not be taken as a sign of comfortability, but simply a convenience given her rather hard to pronounce name. She, in fact, has trouble saying her own name sometimes. It is something she gets rather embarrassed about.
Likes: Cool night breezes, solitude, snow, warm meals, cozy beds, fireplaces, starry skies, and plushies (especially fumos).
Dislikes: Talking to other people, fortune telling of any kind, people trying to get close to her, being relied on, and being trusted.
History: Rukako Kurokawa was born in the tiny village of Tohno found in the Iwate prefecture of Japan. She was the youngest of three children, being raised by her two parents in a relatively normal household. Luka, as she was called by friends and family, led a normal childhood up to the age of five. However, it was at this age that tragedy struck her and her family. A fire with an undetermined cause overtook her home in the middle of the night. Unable to sleep that night, Luka manage to escape the fire through her window. The rest of her family unfortunately did not make it.
Now a broken child who had lost everything, she was taken in by her aunt and uncle who lived in the city. Luka was given a second chance at happiness. She would be able to live with her aunt, uncle, and cousin now. Though she still felt pain from the loss of her family, she began to believe that she could move on again. For the next three years, Luka once again led a normal life. But much like before, a tragedy had befallen her new family. During a family drive, the car her family were in had suddenly spun out of control. Though her uncle tried to keep the car straight, they ended up crashing into a wall regardless. Luka was luckily unharmed in the crashed and managed to crawl to safety. Not a moment after, Luka turned back to find the car now on fire. And finally, watched as it exploded. Once again the girl had lost her precious family.
Following the funeral, Luka was taken into questioning. This had been the second time that she was the lone survivor in a great tragedy. Many people including relatives began to suspect her of causing the incidents. Still in shock from the death of yet another family, Luka was only put under more mental stress from the blame being pushed to her. She denied any part in the deaths of her family. Naturally, she could not think of anything she had done to cause those deaths. With a lack of evidence to go on, she was let go without being charged of any murder. Luka then spent the next year at an orphanage where she kept away from everyone else. The caretakers and other children talked about her behind her back and to her face, all saying how she was "cursed" or how she was a murderer. She began to believe them too. It was an awful situation.
At the age of 14, Luka managed to leave the orphanage thanks to her grades in school. Her choices were quite varied, but one school stuck out in particular. The Mosaic City school district was known for its education and support for students. She could live near the campus for free since she was a student. It was out of country and quite far from home, but Luka had nothing to leave behind. She left without a second thought. It was here that Luka spent the next four years of her high school life. It was another start for her, but the damage from her past had already been dealt. Luka did not make friends, nor did she allow for anyone to get close to her during her time in the city.
The lockdown of the city was something she didn't pay much attention to, brushing it off for the most part. It wasn't until one night that she heard a voice calling to her; telling her meet it outside the city boundaries. Luka was confused, doubtful, and afraid. Despite all of this, she listened to the voice and ventured out of the city through its abandoned train terminal. Further and further, Luka left the safety circle until she was met with a dark purple sky and the dilapidated remains of the city. What she found was not the voice that called out to her, but many indescribable beings. They began to surround her, cornering her completely. Luka knew there was no escape now. Normally, this girl would have simply accepted death as someone who could only give it in return. Yet, for some reason she subconsciously chose to live. It was then that the manifestation of her true self came to her. The manifestation, which looked like a girl not unlike herself, fought off the strange creatures as Luka simply watched in terror. Once the battle was over and the girl disappeared, all she knew was the being that saved her was her "persona." It was something that was "one with her." She had saved herself. Now safe, she could only question the state of the city, being completely different than what the reports had stated. Realizing that something was strange, the young cursed girl decided to uncover the mystery surrounding the city.
