Name: Jaelyn Callahan
Age: 17
Date of Birth: August 14
Birthplace: Who even knows
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Face Claim: Tharja - Fire Emblem Awakening
Appearance:
Height: 5'7"
Distinguishing Features: None of note
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: XI - Lust
Occupation: Ordinary High School Student.
Weapons and Proficiencies (Optional): Proficiency in small daggers, especially punching daggers and telescoping blades. Almost exclusively uses them for stabbing rather than cutting, and thus they do Pierce damage.
Personality: Jaelyn is a touch unstable. She has trouble focusing on one thing, is prone to mood swings (sometimes very violent mood swings), attaches to people very easy and severs bonds just as fast. She is also prone to nightmares, but believes this to be a normal, regular thing since she's been that way for her whole life. Since the lockdown started she's also frequently heard voices, and while she managed to confirm at least once that they were the work of shadows the voices have persisted after she awakened her persona. She knows very little of morality, having learned nothing of it at home, and all she does have is a moral code that suits her own needs, desires, and mindset. She has both sadistic and masochistic tendencies, and while she's learned for the most part to keep that to herself, that doesn't stop her imagination from running wild with it. And she is completely fearless, in part because having been utterly terrified of her mother for most of her life she has come to believe that nothing could possibly be scarier than her.
As most of her early life was spent just barely having what she needed to survive, now that Jaelyn is on her own she has a tendency to overindulge when she can. Whether that be food, drink (she still hates that there's such a thing as an age restriction on alcohol), sex, action, or just being comfortable, Jaelyn is never satisfied. She wants more of everything she can get. Power is another thing like that. She's had enough physical strength to be able to take care of herself for most of her life (and admits that being able to fight off bullies and leave them much more severely injured than she ended up was quite an exhilerating feeling), but now that she's awakened her persona, it's like she's on an entirely different level. And it feels amazing. She can use magic. Magic that can set things on fire. And, like anything else, that's not enough for her. She wants more.

History: Jaelyn was born in a town small enough that it wouldn't even show up on most maps, with a population under 100. To the question of "which town?", she would echo the same words her mother used to say: "Doesn't matter." All that mattered, to them, was that it was off the map. And for good reason: Jaelyn's mother was a serial killer who had thus far managed to avoid being caught, who ended up pregnant through what she simply called "an accident." Whether it was because of the child she then carried, or because of a different change in heart, the woman finally settled down after becoming pregnant, and decided to go through with having and raising her. As far as Jaelyn or anyone else who met her after she settled down knew, she never killed again after Jaelyn was born.
But that didn't mean Jaelyn magically had a good life growing up. She was raised by a single mother who didn't dare work outside of the small town where they settled, hoarded what money she did managed to earn, frequently seemed to forget that Jaelyn was even around, didn't actually kick any of the unsavory habits and interests she had before (she just fell short of actually killing people), and on top of everything else was schizophrenic. That was the kind of household Jaelyn grew up in. If there was an award for the worst possible mother a person might have, Jaelyn's may well have earned it. Jaelyn grew up terrified of her and what she was capable of and, to a small extent, occasionally ended up on the receiving end of it.
And yet, despite that, her mother did care for her in a strange, twisted way. Between paranoid episodes, violent mood swings, and occasional hints that the woman was slowly destroying herself, she raised Jaelyn to the best of her admittedly very limited ability. She taught the girl what few skills she had, from cooking with minimal, cheap ingredients to knife fighting. Though she rarely spent more money than she absolutely needed to survive, when she did it was almost always exclusively for Jaelyn. And anything else, things for herself, things for either of them that Jaelyn was certain there was no way they could afford, she was always extremely quiet about where they came from. She tried to encourage Jaelyn to become more than what she was, but was equally quiet on just what that was. And despite living in fear of her, Jaelyn also learned to love her.
Outside of her home life, Jaelyn knew everyone in the small town where she lived by the time she was ten and eventually ended up on good terms with most of them, although she could always tell that the warier townsfolk were scared of her and her mother. She went to school in a neighboring town (fifteen miles away) but only made friends with other kids from her hometown. To anyone else, she was a strange and unstable outsider who was occasionally the target of bullying, only to lash out at said bullies in attacks that usually ended with broken fingers and, in one case, a pencil through someone's eye. Although she was never expelled, she was suspended several times and referred to multiple psychiatrists, all of whom tried and failed to come up with an adequate diagnosis beyond Conduct Disorder. In every case she always insisted that nothing was wrong at home. At first, it was out of fear, but over time it came to be that she kept silent out of respect, understanding that her mother was doing her best for Jaelyn despite her many failings.
Her home situation never truly stabilized, but her behavior in public eventually did. As she went through middle school and started high school, she learned to hide her interests and keep them to herself. The bullying had long since stopped, as after the pencil incident she had gained enough of a reputation that most people left her alone for fear of getting a pencil through their eye as well. She slowly started to open up to others, although to her peers she was always the crazy one. She made a few friends, had a few flings that all ended badly, started actually doing decently in school, and after awhile had no more incidents.
Then everything came crashing down.
During all of this time, Jaelyn's mother's condition still continued to get worse. Apart from issues stemming from her schizophrenia, Jaelyn found out after her freshman year of high school that she had been starving herself for years, and was now near death because of it. Jaelyn tried, desperately, to get her mother to do something for herself, but her mother insisted that there was nothing she could do anymore. Instead, she used what money she had saved up to send Jaelyn as far away as she could, away from the small no-name town and the life she used to lead. Her mother, Jaelyn assumed, thought of it as a last blessing. And despite the fact that it meant being ripped away from everything she used to know and forced to live alone in an entirely different country, let alone city, she reluctantly accepted it as such. She left for her new destination, Mosaic City, soon after, and got word mere hours after landing that her mother had died.
A little more than two years passed since then. To say that she hadn't settled in well would be an understatement, but Jaelyn had managed to the best of her ability. Having frequently been forced to take care of herself anyway, she got used to living on her own fast. It was settling into the new, much larger city with a whole new group of peers that was the hard part. She still doesn't know anyone adequately, despite going so far as to sleep with a few of them. Long story. And, of course, the lockdown of the outer city didn't help matters. As soon as it began, she started hearing voices when everything else was quiet. Voices that sounded distinctly like her mother's, calling her toward the blocked off outer circle. She dismissed them at first, thinking she was going crazy (a reasonable assumption considering how she grew up), but eventually started to wonder if there was something to them. What if her mother had survived after all, and was looking for her in the city but couldn't get into the inner circle because of the lockdown? If that was the case, then Jaelyn would have to go to her before she was killed for real by the radiation that the military assured everyone was outside the blockade. So, taking every dagger she could hide on herself at one time with her in case of having to fight with them, Jaelyn made her way to the blockade line and, after some searching, managed to sneak out through an old subway tunnel.
Sure enough, she found her mother outside. Or rather, she found something that looked very much like her mother, but couldn't possibly be. When Jaelyn had last seen her, her mother was so emaciated that she could barely stand. The 'person' she encountered looked much more like her mother when she was much younger and in her prime. And was...decidedly not friendly. Dark power welled up around the doppelganger and exploded outward, knocking Jaelyn to the ground. She managed to get up and tried to fight back, but was at a rather dire disadvantage considering that the doppelganger was using magic. Magic. And there wasn't a damn thing Jaelyn could do to counter that. What happened next was a blur. She remembered something appearing, which she could only describe as a person with an owl's head and wings. It did something she couldn't quite recall, which caused the doppelganger to attack herself. She remembered taking advantage of that to run away, but the next thing she knew she was back in her apartment and three days had passed. And, strangest of all, there was now what looked like a toy gun lying on her desk, with hastily scribbled instructions on how to use it (in her own handwriting, as she imagined it would look while she was really drunk) wrapped around the barrel.
Over the next several weeks and a couple more, less eventful trips into the outer circle, she managed to piece together a few more things: What she had fought was not actually a doppelganger, but a "shadow". And she most definitely had not killed it. The outer circle was not covered in radiation, but no less dangerous with many more of those "shadows" walking around. And the owl person had, in fact, come from herself. It was called a persona, the persona Andras. And that was all she knew. Anything else, she would have to keep going back to find out. But even if she knew everything, she'd keep going back. A shadow had taken the form of her mother, and she knew better than anyone else alive what her mother was capable of. There was no way she could simply let that keep running around.

It's finally time. Buying Jaelyn her Ultimate Persona for 12000 FP
Persona: Eris
Appearance: Eris appears as a stunningly beautiful woman, completely naked save for a black cloak (more like a sheet, really) loosely draped over her body. Black feathered wings rise from her back. Her hair also appears black, at first, but on closer look is stained red. She carries a golden apple in her hand, bearing the word 'καλλίστῃ' (kallisti, 'to the fairest') inscribed on it. On her shoulder is a mark, consisting of a symbol similar to a taijitu, but all white with a pentagon on one side, and an apple on the other in place of dots, and eight lines radiating outward from the symbol. When used in battle, white lines like cracks in reality appear over the target, then split wide open when the used skill makes contact.
Persona Lore: The Greek Goddess and Personification of strife, contention, and discord. Instigated the Trojan War after not being invited to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, and subsequently throwing a golden apple 'to the fairest' into the middle of the party. She is alternately depicted as abhorrent and a bringer of war, or a gentler figure who stirs up change and competition. Even the latter is regarded as unwholesome to humanity, as she also breeds jealousy and anger, but is praised when one comes to understand her.

{Old Awakened Persona Data}Persona: Caligula
Appearance: Caligula is a suprisingly human-looking persona. In appearance he is a human male in his twenties, dressed in a scarlet toga of approximately mid-thigh length. Over top the toga he wears an ornate, blackened steel cuirass and a skirt of leather strips and bronze rivets. His legs are adorned with greaves of the same blackened steel as his cuirass situated just above his namesake: a pair of leather caligae. A scarlet cape hangs from his shoulders, reaching down to about ankle height. Around his waist is a sword belt, with a gladius at his right hip and a dagger at his left. His face is pale and fixed in a stoic expression with blank eyes. On closer inspection, or else when the persona uses darkness-based skills, one would notice that this blank face is merely a mask, but one attached directly to the emperor's head with nothing but blackness underneath it.
Persona Lore: The third emperor of Rome, made infamous for accounts of his cruelty, sadism, extravagance, insanity, and perversity. Although these are accounts are likely exaggerated, he nonetheless worked to increase the absolute power of the emperor until eventually being assassinated after four years of tyrannical rule.
Skills: Agidyne, Mamudo, Pulinpa, Holy Arrow, Sukukaja
