He didn’t know how the hell he had gotten into the mess. It was late, super late. He had been on his way home but he had wandered to a place that he wasn’t familiar with. There were psycho looking shadows lurking about the area. At least, what looked like normal shadows but they didn’t have a person, rather they were physical in their own right. When attacked him, he panicked, didn’t know what to do. It was surprising what one could do with a two by four and use it as a bat. They seemed to disappear after a good beatings with the large stick. When he got to the end of the tunnel there was a blonde woman looking to hand out jobs.
It was a missing dog. It was spotted outside the city quarantine and he doubted anyone would be going out there anytime soon. Had it been a missing person, Tenchi probably wouldn’t have bothered with it but the fact that it was a cute defenseless dog was another thing He felt the need to find the thing and help it. A person could take care of themselves, but not a dog. So that’s what he had deliriously done. He was tired from the late hours (or was it early now?) but despite that, he pushed himself to find a way to the outskirts of the city.
’Wasn’t it s’pose to be radioactive or sumthin’?’ He had thought upon getting out there. Granted, the moment he got to the outskirts of the city, the atmosphere seemed completely strange. Man… he was dreaming again, that’s the only thing he could think of. It was like that one time a month ago when he dreamed about going to the outskirts of the city.
Why couldn’t he have normal dreams, like the kind where he flew around like a superhero or something? He tapped the 2x4 on his shoulder a couple of times as he wandered aimlessly across the fields. What had been the dogs name again? Maybe he should try yelling for it, ”PASCAL! GIT Y’ASS OVER HERE!” He barked out loud. It was kind of creepy how his voice just seemed to fall on hollow ears and there was nothing to respond.
”I GOT A BONE FOR YA” Did dogs really like bones? He wasn’t sure but it was worth a try.
