Personality:Tristan has never been the "sit still and shut up" sort of guy. If he had something to say, he would say it. If he had something to do, he would do it. But that doesn't mean he doesn't know when he should be quiet. He also enjoys it more than most, using it to catch up on reading or other activities. He is a usually polite person, unless faced with someone who irritates him to no end, and he sticks up for his friends. He is also known for giving them advice during his free time. As an intelligent, well-read person, he generally knows what he's talking about.

History:Growing up in Illinois bored the life out of Tristan. Almost literally. Still, he had one interesting talent that kept him entertained: he could almost always get out of situations that bored him. He would either just slip out and find something fun, like playing with the sharp tools around; or he would seemingly disappear unnoticed into a remote corner to read. With this, he decided one day to just slip out of his life and move to Mosaic City. He never saw his family again, but that was a few years ago and he no longer cares. His life is just so interesting now!
He spent his time walking around the city before the lock down. He has gotten fairly used to where everything is, but he wouldn't exactly be an expert. He's really just able to get to school and back, and give a basic direction of where everything is. He rarely went anywhere specific due to his lack of friends, which was from his sharp wit. The few friends he had appreciated it, but they disappeared shortly after the lock down. Now he doesn't have anyone to talk to.
He was in the city when the lock down occurred. It wasn't long before curiosity got the better of him and led him to leave the safe circle. What happened during such awakened his Persona, which saved his life. It helped him fend off the "military," or the creatures pretending to be the military. He quickly made it back to the safe circle, where he currently believes himself with his ability. He is trying to figure out how to control his ability so that he can make a difference.

Taking pity on him, a demon placed a small bit of hellfire in a lantern made from a turnip to provide light for him as he wanders through the darkness. In the world of the living, he sometimes serves as a guide for travelers. Jack-o'-Lantern is good friends with Jack Frost. Some Demon Busters claim to have seen them team up as Demon Buster-busting duo Lantern Frost.
Today, Jack-o'-Lantern is known as the pumpkin ghost of Halloween. It is believed that this change from turnip to pumpkin came about when the custom of Halloween first came to the United States, because Americans found that pumpkins were brighter and easier to carve than turnips
