Name: Setsuna Hanamori
Age: Fifteen
Date of Birth: May 1
Birthplace: Saitama, Japan
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Face Claim: Ryoko Okami, from Okami-san and Her Seven Companions
Appearance:
Height: 5'3"
Distinguishing Features: She has some small scars on her body, due to being frequently beaten up; not only from her abusive ex-girlfriends, but also from when she was being bullied after her relationship with said ex-girlfriend ended. However, due to how small they are, they're difficult to notice without looking closely.
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: Lovers
Occupation: Student
Weapons and Proficiencies: In battle, she likes to dual-wield bokken, wooden swords used for sword training. The ones she prefers to use are made from a fairly strong wood, allowing them to endure more physical trauma than one would expect, yet are surprisingly light and easy to use. When she has the chance, she'll also tends to carry extras with her, in case one or more of them do end up being destroyed. However, she'll never use more than two at once. They inflict Strike damage.
Personality: Setsuna is, emotionally, a bit of a mess, and it's all because of the betrayal of a single woman that she deeply loved. She is not only deeply terrified of other people finding out that she is a lesbian, but is also equally afraid of forming any sort of relationship, whether it be romantic or merely a close friendship. That said, she is friendly to anyone who should greet her, and she does actually enjoy making friends. However, she has extreme difficulty with opening up to others, and she has a habit of unconsciously pushing away anyone who might potentially become "too close" to her. She also doesn't like crowded areas, so don't be too surprised if she's reluctant to go to anything like a party or a club.
Overall, she has a somewhat cold and aloof appearance, which can make her somewhat difficult to approach at first. However, those who gather the courage to do so are generally pleasantly surprised by how friendly she is. She likes to help others whenever possible, and she'll happily go out of her way to do so, if it's something that's within her abilities. It's only when the subject of her past is brought up that she begins to withdraw. She also gets noticeably uncomfortable when others talk about relationships, past or present, as the one she had previously been in remains as a bit of a sore spot. For the sake of not wanting to appear rude, she'll put up with it for a long as she can, but, ultimately, she can only handle so much before she either makes a painfully awkward attempt to change the subject, or comes up with a lame excuse to leave.
As if that wasn't bad enough, there's the subject of romance. Setsuna is a wreck when it comes to romance. As much as she tries desperately to avoid it, she's prone to easily developing crushes on other girls...though, should it becoming clear that nothing would ever happen, she gets over said crushes fairly easily. In spite of her past, she seems to have a thing for older women, though this doesn't mean she doesn't also occasionally go for girls who are closer to her own age. Aside from some occasional blushing, she is fairly good at hiding her feelings, though there are occasions when her guard wavers and they begin to show; mostly when she is alone with whoever she happens to like.
However, as much as she pushes others away, she can't stand being alone. Of course, Setsuna is still trying to find the proper balance between letting someone get close and keeping them away, thus she often ends up going too far in one direction or the other...often making herself or her potential lover uncomfortable. And, should the seemingly-impossible happen and someone actually manage to win her heart, she'd be extremely clingy. Practically dependent. And, above all else, she'd do anything to make them happy, regardless of how much it embarrassed or hurt her. She's already been heartbroken once, and it was in an incredibly harsh manner at that. As such, she'd do whatever it took avoid the same thing happening again

History: Setsuna was born to a fairly happy and successful couple. Her father was a well known and respected surgeon, while her mother was an equally-famous lawyer who was the head of her own law firm. For the most part, her childhood was a normal one, if not a bit boring. She went to school, made some friends and the like. Over all, she was fairly happy, and her family, while far from rich, was still more than wealthy enough that they were able to live very comfortably, without having to worry very much about expenses. As she grew up, Setsuna always had a bit of a tomboyish streak. From a young age, she developed an interest in samurai after watching a random anime. When she went into middle school, she even joined the kendo club, and quickly established herself as one of the best in the school.
About halfway through her first year in middle school, she was at a friend's house; and that was where she met a person who made a huge impact on her life. Her name was Keiko, and she was her friend's older sister, about nineteen at the time. Keiko took a shine to the considerably younger Setsuna, and, whenever her younger sister wasn't looking, she wasted no time in flirting with her. At first, Setsuna was understandably awkward over the whole thing. While she did find other females to be attractive, for reasons that she was (at the time) too naive to understand, she never once considered the idea of going out with them. Still, despite her confusion, Setsuna found herself attracted to the older woman as she continued to make her advances. Eventually, she decided to return her feelings, and the two began dating...of course, due to the rather obvious age gap, it was kept a secret.
At first, it was rather nice. The two of them seemed to genuinely be in love with each other..."seemed" being the operative word. Of course, Setsuna truly was in love. Keiko, on the other hand, wasn't quite as committed as Setsuna was. She often fooled around with other girls behind Setsuna's back, and, over time, their relationship became somewhat bitter. And yet, Setsuna had, by then, come to depend on her. The older girl, fully aware of this fact, would always amuse herself by abusing Setsuna, both physically and emotionally, and it reached the point of happening on a daily basis. At times, she even took advantage of Setsuna's naivety to have her way with her, making the relationship far more intimate than it ever should have been. Naturally, Setsuna didn't fully grasp the nature of what they were doing; Keiko simply passed it off as "something that couples do".
Eventually, Keiko had grown bored of her games, and decided it was worth it to simply sever their ties. One day, she appeared at Setsuna's school and, in front of all her friends and teachers, proceeded to out her as a homosexual. Then she proceeded to (falsely) accuse her of stalking her and other various perverted acts, all while conveniently leaving out the fact that she was the one Setsuna had been going out with. The teachers and other students were shocked, to say the least. It was equally needless to say that Setsuna didn't take this very well. As if the break-up wasn't bad enough, all of her friends were creeped out by the revelation that she was a lesbian and shunned her. She was later subjected to harsh bullying, which escalated to the point where getting beaten into the ground was an almost daily occurrence. Her parents tried to contact the school to put an end to it, but they were, at best, apathetic, justifying their inaction with a "lack of proof" that there was anything going on.
Even after the school year came to an end, the bullying continued, with few signs of ever letting up. It eventually reached a point in which Setsuna, no longer able to bear the "burden" of living, was driven to suicide. With a dull and miserable look in her eyes, she jumped in front of a truck that was moving down a busy street, only to be saved at the last second by a random passerby. The incident came as a strong enough shock that the bullying finally ended, but it was safe to say that the damage had been done. Over the next few months, Setsuna underwent some much-needed therapy, and, little by little, she started to make a slow-but-steady recovery. The whole thing had left some deep emotional scars, and she was never quite the same again, but it was a vast improvement over the terrified little girl who spend her mornings locked in her room and shivered in despair at the mere thought of having to go to school. She was able to live a fairly normal life again.
Near the end of Setsuna's second year of middle school, a day came where her father had some big news for the family. He had been approached with a job that, quite frankly, he couldn't refuse. The only stipulation was that the family would have to relocate to a place called Mosaic City. Personally speaking, Setsuna couldn't have been happier, as it gave her the one thing she needed most; a clean slate. No one here knew her, nor did they know about what happened. It almost seemed too good to be true. But, nevertheless, the family moved to this city, located on the Chinese coast. To say they that this place was huge was an understatement. From Setsuna's perspective, Saitama was pretty huge, and this place, no matter how she looked at it, completely blew it out of the water. Either way, aside from being astounded by how huge the city was, Setsuna didn't have too much trouble settling into their new home.
It was only a few weeks after they had moved to Mosaic City that the group of apparent military personnel quarantined a part of the city, not only blocking everyone off from the rest of the city, but from the outside world as well. Apparently, it was due to a radiation leak or something. However, while she did feel a little bad for those trapped in the blocked-off area of the city, Setsuna and her family, once they realized this wasn't going to affect them in any negative way, were able to go about their lives normally. Fast-forward a few months later. Setsuna is now in her first year of high school, and has more or less gotten used to everything. Though she's made a few friends, she's careful about letting them get too close to her, in fear of being hurt should something happen between them. She's yet to join any clubs, though she hopes to find a kendo club. Even if they are in China, the mixed culture of the city meant there might be one, though she hadn't taken the chance to look yet.
However, everything changed one day. Setsuna was hearing all sorts of rumors that the so-called military had some sort of big secret that they were hiding, and that was why part of the town was closed off. Normally, Setsuna wasn't the type to pay any mind to such talk, but the more she thought about it, the stranger it seemed. They more or less came out of nowhere, and she didn't quite buy the "radiation leak" story. In the end, her curiosity got the better of her, and, after school, she decided to check how bad it really was outside of the so-called "safe area". As one can probably guess, she was not expecting what she found the moment she left. The sky was a grim, dark purple color, and the overall atmosphere seemed extremely oppressive. Almost immediately, she regretted coming here.
Worst of all was the the city itself. Everything was in ruins, and there were these strange blob-like creatures shuffling around. What the hell were they? Then she saw some of the "military personnel", and, thinking she was safe, let out a sigh of relief. Sure, she was probably going to get into a hell of a lot of trouble, but at least they were here to save her. Or not. One by one, they all revealed their true forms; the very same blob monsters she saw a moment ago. And now, they were coming after her. Setsuna panicked and ran, but she didn't get very far before fear overcame her and her legs stopped working. However, just when things were looking at their worst, something in the back of her mind snapped. From out of nowhere, a creature appeared; a tall, nude woman who blue skin, surrounded by water. Almost instantly, Setsuna somehow knew that this creature had come from within her. She didn't know how or why, but she just did.
Then, this creature, whom Setsuna knew was called Undine for some unexplainable reason, began dispatching these shadow creatures one by one with chunks of ice. Though this didn't take out all of them, it gave Setsuna the chance to escape. Running as fast as she could, she made her way back to the safe area. Once she was back inside, she swore to do her best to forget everything that had just happened. Unfortunately, it probably wasn't going to be that easy. It's only been a few days, and the whole thing is already beginning to nag at her in the back of her mind. How long will she be able to ignore it? Who knows?
