Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

As the pair continued down- or, more correctly, as the boy carrying the girl continued down- the girl uttered something absolutely ludicrous. And, by ludicrous, this meant it was something absolutely stupid. Really? Cursing people to death? Wasn't that something she had just been worried about? Either, one, the girl had fully recovered, or, two, she was just an ass. Well, there was three- both one and two. Actually, it was probably three. She had, no doubt, gotten over things. More than that, she was an ass. He had determined that. It was a shame that the ass did not have an ass, though. Well, a nice one, at least. Everyone had one. But, like opinions, not all of them were good.
”That's rather mean. I could cry. What if a bird flew over us, pooped on you, and made me lose my balance due to the additional weight on your head? We might fall. Or worse. What would you do, then, Ruka?” He stopped descending just to lower his face near her neck, letting a breath out on it slowly. ”That would be bad, wouldn't it, Ruka?” He half-whispered before beginning to step down at a normal pace, laughing slightly. ”But that's just an example. I'm capable enough to ensure that even the additional weight of a bird turd would not make us drift to the side.” He was entirely light-hearted about it, but it was obvious he just poked at her on several levels.

The boy responded with a ridiculous idea to combat her suggestion. The idea that he presented was rather morbid, though it was obvious he was just playing along. Though, why did he have to pick such a ridiculous example? A bird pooping on my head. That's the example you want to give. Okay. She was still facing away from the boy, giving him a rather deadpan response. He even asked what she would do should such a thing happened. She wasn't going to answer him of course. There was no reason to.
But when the boy decided to stop, he must have thought it would be funny to breath down her neck. It certainly wasn't funny for her though. She squeaked a bit, flinching. With an angry look, she remained looking away to avoid embarrassment. At the end of all of that, he finally started to move at a normal pace down the stairs again. At the same time, he "reassured her" that he could certainly endure the shifting of weight should a bird poop on her head. Luka simply kept quiet as they descended the stairs. This was somewhat of a necessary evil it seemed. She needed to go down the stairs, but at the same time she had to deal with this boy as long as she was descending. Truly, a bad situation to be in.

Akira let out a slight laugh at the girl's reaction to the concept of bird poop. His pace did not slow down. He had already decided what he would do. With a slight hum that intensified every other step, he hosted a smile. The closer they got to the bottom, the more he anticipated his teasing her. Would it be the last bit that night? Probably. But it would likely tide him over for a bit. Once he reached ground level, his lips curled further, and he started to let her down. Before moving away, however, he shifted closer and nipped her neck, casually stepping away for his own safety.
If she suddenly had full motor functions while wearing those sandals, he was going to call foul.
”Now, milady, it seems we are good and safe. No fears of birds pooping on us and making us fall.” He calmly noted, seeming to think nothing of the fact that his teeth had just been on her neck. ”Well, you can fear that the birds will come. That can happen at any time.” He nodded sagely, knowing full-well that Murphy was an asshole that materialized at any point. ”Shall I escort you back to your quarters?” He asked at that point, just smiling at her. It was a playful and altogether impish smile.

It wasn't too long before they have finally reach the bottom of the stairs. The worst was finally over. At least, Luka had hoped so. Unfortunately, not only was it quite the opposite, but it was likely the second worst thing to happen that night. As she was set down by Akira, she was going to adjust her dress from being carried. Instead, she felt something familiar on her neck. Well, this time that "something" got a whole lot more familiar with her neck. Akira had bit down on her as he put her down. Luka's eyes widened as she let out a rather questionable noise. Hah. . . She nearly stumbled a bit in response before she regained her posture. Grasping at the bite location, the girl turned back to Akira with an angry but even more so embarrassed expression.
here was a number of things she wanted to say, but she went to one in particular. W-Why did you have to bite such a sensitive area!? She could still feel the sting of the boy's teeth on her neck. It didn't hurt, but the feeling was still there. With a sigh, the girl simply accepted what had happened. There wasn't anything she could really say to him after the fact.
The boy proposed escorting her home, which Luka was fine with. She nodded to him. You can escort me home if you would like. I don't mind either way. Her face was still red from the bite incident, but she was feeling embarrassed for another reason now. She had enjoyed their night together. Enough that she was thankful that he had invited her. So on top of him teasing her to no end the entire night, even going as far as biting her and tasting her saliva, she still felt the desire to thank him for the night. Also. She stared at him with a look that gave the impression that she was annoyed with him; her face still very much red and her hands held behind her back. And in truth, she was annoyed. He did such awful things to her and was still getting thanked by her. Where was the justice here? I had a lot of fun and wouldn't mind doing something like this again. If you want to, I mean. Her voice sped up ever so slightly as she spoke. When she was done, she simply kept staring at him with an ever-annoyed expression. Seriously. He made this way too difficult.

Akira just continued smiling when the girl asked such a silly question. She bit his face. He barely even touched her neck. It was a perfectly fair and entirely logical exchange on every level! For a moment, he just waited, noting that she was fine with- as opposed to requesting for- him accompanying her. She tried to put a front up that displayed herself as being annoyed, but it could never be taken seriously when she was blushing like that. She seemed to enjoy the outing in its entirety. That was good. He honestly hoped that she got something out of the trip- something on a personal level that would help her develop as a person.
"I am pleased to know that I succeeded in my oath to ensure your entertainment, milady." He spouted that formal crap out again, for the last time that evening, while offering a bow. Standing straight, he placed his hands on his hips and began stretching. "As for why I did what I did, you bit me, I bit you back. As for where and why, you need to experience new things to learn. Now you've experienced it, so I hope you learned something from it." While not entirely honest, part of what he said was true, so he had no qualms with giving it as a reason.
"So, I'll escort you back home. You wouldn't be able to run with those sandals if a pervert came out and tried to kidnap you." Fortunately, Akira had no intentions of kidnapping people. He fit the first part of the warning, though. "Plus, you do need to get up your stairs." He let out a slight laugh before taking a place next to her and offering his hand.
"Let's head back, Ruka." It was a successful project, he had convinced himself. Job well done.
