Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Jaelyn had mentioned that normally, she wasn't very good at this kind of romantic stuff. To be honest, given what she had told Sakuya the previous night, Sakuya really couldn't blame her. She had hinted to her mother possibly dealing in the same kind of thing Sakuya did (that was, the murder of people) and also mentioned how she was bullied a lot. Sakuya stroked Jaelyn's cheek as she was accepted into Jaelyn's form. "I wasn't aware you needed to do something right, honey... You're wonderful and lovely just as you are." Sakuya said as she wondered if she could feed Jaelyn. However, her thoughts were interrupted as the rose before her also called Sakuya beautiful, which prompted her to blush. "I'm glad... you also think well of me. I'm really glad."

"Hm...I guess you're right," Jaelyn said, putting her arm around Sakuya. Maybe that was part of why everything was going so well. She could just wing it and still be 'lovely' in Sakuya's eyes. More and more, she felt like Sakuya was someone she couldn't let go of, if it was in her power. She could potentially never meet someone like her again, after all. Other than that she was a killer, and that there were several signs that pointed to the two of them being very similar, Jaelyn still knew very little about her. But Jaelyn's mental image of Sakuya was something she could understand very well. The next thing Sakuya said all but confirmed a few things.
"It sounds like you were worried I wouldn't," Jaelyn said. "Which is impossible. You're amazing." She made to take another bite of her breakfast, noting that with Sakuya snuggling into her and one arm occupied, she wasn't in the best position for that. "It's a little difficult to eat like this," she said, disappointed. She didn't want to make Sakuya move.

Sakuya soon became increasingly worried about how Jaelyn might react if she found out about her true nature as a Shadow. Sakuya, in the beginning, had been generally indifferent towards humans - she had never really thought about the prospect of being defeated by some of them, even by those who wielded powers of the "Persona." Yet... Jaelyn, Jaelyn was special. She was the first one who really, truly seemed to accept her. Even if it was simply as her human host. Hopefully, if... Jaelyn ever did find out, she wouldn't be too angry. If she was, and even if she turned her knives on Sakuya... Sakuya really wouldn't care. She would rather be killed by Jaelyn than anyone else at this point.
Soon, Jaelyn complimented the girl yet again, telling her she was 'amazing.' This made Sakuya blush... Until Jaelyn added it was difficult to eat in their current position. Sakuya flushed at this point, gently taking the utensil that Jaelyn was using, getting a morsel of bacon, and then attempting to playfully feed her.
"Need some help with that, honey~?"

Jaelyn watched Sakuya's reaction closely as she spoke, trying to get some kind of hint at what could potentially be worrying her. Jaelyn was normally good at reading expressions. It was one of the ways her mother had taught her to tell if someone was probably hiding something. But unfortunately, she still couldn't tell anything...not until Sakuya blushed, at least. But that was normal. Giving up for the moment, she let Sakuya feed her the piece of bacon she had picked up. She ate it without complaint, laughing a little as Sakuya asked if she needed help. "I might," she said back. "I'm not going to say no, at least." Whatever may or may not have been troubling Sakuya, it could wait. Getting fed directly by this beautiful woman was not something that Jaelyn was going to pass up.

Sakuya giggled, stroking Jaelyn's hair as she fed the rose her breakfast. "You're a really nice person to be with, and I'm glad I was able to find that out about you, dear," Sakuya said, smiling. Though, she seemed to notice that Jaelyn was reading her expression. However, that big secret could come out at another time. For now, it was time to settle things down and make sure everything was alright. Unfortunately, if Jaelyn did realize Sakuya was hiding something, she'd know sooner or later. But worrying about that bridge could come a little later, as well. "It's hard to believe someone as beautiful and gorgeous like yourself is only my age. Your beauty is really timeless." She continued to feed Jaelyn, in the meanwhile, slowly and carefully.

And Sakuya was back to smiling. Jaelyn really wasn't going to be able to find out what was bothering her that way, then. It had sounded like she was worried Jaelyn wouldn't like her, but...like Jaelyn had said, she couldn't imagine why. There was no way that would be the case. She blushed a little while eating, as Sakuya said she was a nice person to be with. Swallowing, she answered, "It's thanks to you. You were willing to stay long enough to find that out." True, it wasn't all Sakuya. Jaelyn had been willing to stay as well, but that too was in part Sakuya's doing. She'd been willing to treat her to dinner, after all, and everything else had just gone from there.
Then, Sakuya said something else that was strange. 'Timeless', huh? "If only it was," she answered. "I doubt it'll last forever." She'd grow old eventually...or else she could go the way of her mother before then. She vaguely recalled that her mother had been very beautiful when she was young, but all of that was gone the last time she had seen her.

Sakuya gave Jaelyn a peck on the cheek, still nuzzling her as Jaelyn said her piece - that, Sakuya was willing to stay long enough with her to discover who she was. But soon thereafter, she commented she doubted that she would look good forever, taking Sakuya's initial comment on timelessness to heart. Well, that wasn't quite what Sakuya meant, though it was a valid interpretation. "If you phrase it that way, I would say that while your looks did attract me to get close and talk to you to start with, it was your presence and learning about who you were that made me really want to stay with you, dear." Sakuya smiled. Soon, both of them were almost done with breakfast.
"So thank you, too."

What Sakuya said next, was something that Jaelyn couldn't argue with. No, even if she could, she didn't want to. The idea of someone wanting to stay with her so much was such an uplifting thought that she couldn't possibly contradict it. True, it made her own worries all the stronger. What if Sakuya was hiding something, and it was something that would drive them apart? What if she got arrested or worse because of her line of work? What if Jaelyn eventually completely lost it and couldn't even recognize Sakuya as someone she was close to anymore?
And yet, the fact that she could worry about those things was comforting in its own right. It meant that she had found someone she genuinely cared about, rather than just another fleeting attachment. She'd heard the word many times, and even occasionally thought she had experienced it herself, only to be proven wrong and eventually decide that no, that just wasn't something that happened to her. And yet, here she was, seriously considering it again while the girl who had stirred up those feelings nuzzled into her side and occasionally lifted food to her mouth.
Was this what love felt like?
"I...want to stay with you too," Jaelyn finally answered.

Sakuya had heard Jaelyn say she wanted to stay with her too. Indeed, Sakuya thought she found herself falling... in love? In love. With this beautiful young woman. The real challenge was... what would happen if Jaelyn saw her turn into a Shadow? Would she still share the same feelings for her, or would she turn her knives to her? Regardless of the outcome, Sakuya wouldn't resist. Perhaps she would flee after long. But she wouldn't want to hurt Jaelyn back. Lust was something that commonly entered Sakuya's mind. But this was different. She found someone, a human nevertheless, who seemed to accept her for her own quirks and eccentricities. Sakuya hoped it would stay that way. Hell knows they both deserve some company.
Sakuya smiled and blushed, opting to forget about her worries and concerns for now. Hugging Jaelyn, she sighed with relief and contentment. "We certainly should go out more often from here on out, huh~?"

"Mmm." Jaelyn returned the hug, smiling at Sakuya's words again. Well, of course they should. They were going to do that anyway, right? Even from the beginning, there was the promise of food involved. Good food that Jaelyn wouldn't have to pay for. That had been a good deal even before Sakuya's company factored into it. Of course, now said company seemed far more important to her. Jaelyn was still amazed that her thoughts had changed so much after a single night. Before, she never would have even considered it unless she had something to gain.
"We'd better. I was hoping for that anyway," she said. "I think...I'm fine right here for the moment, though."

Sakuya embraced Jaelyn as she said she was fine here for the moment. Indeed, the pair were thinking along similar lines. "Ehehe. I just wanted to make sure we were still on the same wavelength. I guess that's that, hmm~?" Sakuya giggled as she once again cuddled with her partner. "You can stay for as long as you'd like, hon~" she continued, and it looked like at this rate the two of them were probably just going to enjoy each other's company in each other's arms. But to be honest, Sakuya didn't really mind. This was the greatest she had felt for literally so many years. So many lonely years. And now... This. It was really magical for Sakuya, and it gave her a transcendental experience...
