Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

she would be alright dealing with any shadow? Was she really that strong? or just overconfident? How would she do that without the help of a persona? This conversation was getting more and more confusing as it went on. "How? you said you aren't a persona user? How can you be that strong without a persona?" Maria asked, still worried about Sakuya and only getting more confused. She couldn't fit head or tails at this riddle. She heard from a human how hard it was to just fight the shadows. What was she? Could it be she was something else then a regular person or a persona user? But what then?

Sakuya smirked and looked at Maria. "You don't need to be concerned," she said. "I think I'll be just fine. I have my methods... There is no cause for worry. Please don't mull over what I've said too much~" she finished, soon yawning. I may have said too much Sakuya thought to herself. But she's just so cute like that. I can't help but toy with her. Ah well, if she'll push the matter, then I'll just take things into my own hands. It couldn't hurt! she continued to think to herself, covering her mouth as she yawned. On the other hand, the calming and soothing atmosphere of being out here overlooking the sea was starting to make her quite drowsy and sleeping. "Haa. It's so relaxing out here, I could fall asleep..."

Maria didn't need to be concerned? But what if something happens? What if she is mistaken and can't defeat a certain shadow. The ones she fought up till now were weak but she was almost certain there were more powerful shadows lurking somewhere. What was going on here? How could she just forget that one of her friends would rush into shadows without persona or any power she knew of? How could she trust that? Then she suddenly changed the subject, maybe she didn't want to talk about it anymore. Maria could forget it, for now. But it would certainly be on her mind later. "Do you like it. It's really a nice feeling isn't it?" Maria told Sakuya. This feeling made one feel so safe. Yet nobody in the entire city was.

"Yeah, it's a pretty nice feeling," Sakuya simply said to Maria as she asked. Sakuya was personally quite relieved that her partner for today had gotten the cue to change the subject. It was delving into dangerous territory and Sakuya already knew Maria would be thinking long and hard about what she had just talked about. Wondering how Sakuya knew so much and wondering why she didn't need to worry. After all, there were strong Shadows out there, stronger than the trash Maria was probably used to, so how could Sakuya possibly handle them if she wasn't a Persona User like this young woman was? Indeed, these thoughts just made Sakuya want to laugh to herself. "I'm pretty glad you agreed to come out here to the seaside. I do hope I get more opportunities to chat and catch up with you about things."

Maria still couldn't leave it out. She really wondered what Sakuya was hiding. Like how she was fighting those creatures. "It looks so peaceful." She reacted while knowing it wasn't that peaceful in this city. She said she was glad to meet her here and that they could meet again like this. "I am sure we will! Even after this is over I am sure we can stay friends." Maria reassured Sakuya. Maria wondered why Sakuya was worrying about this. "Is there any reason to doubt it?" Maria asked, actually joking about it. Maria really saw Sakuya as a friend and friends should stick together. Especially in times like this.

"That's good to hear," Sakuya replied solemnly and slowly. "There's no reason to doubt it, I hope, anyway." she continued, though deep down inside, Sakuya knew Maria was totally in thought about what Sakuya was concealing - concealing the fact she was a Shadow. How would the woman react if she found out her friend who seemed kind and friendly was actually a Shadow? Would she react violently? Would she freak out and run away? There were many problems that could arise from this situation. Hopefully, none of them would come to fruition, but it seemed like with the way things were going, that would... be unlikely. It would be quite unlikely indeed.

Sakuya hoped there was no reason? What reason could there possibly be? It was really strange but it was like Sakuya was totally strange. Maybe it was just a joke but maybe it meant something. she drank a bit from the cold drink as she hadn't entirely forgotten about it with this weird conversation. "So where do you come from? Where you born here?" Maria asked. For a normal city that would be a strange question, but in a town with so many nationalities it wasn't as many people came from all over the world. So it did seem like a valid question for Maria. "I am from London myself, though I moved here when I was little." She answered her own question so that Sakuya would know about her too.

Sakuya shook her head. "I was born in Japan. Aoyama. Don't have fond memories of that place. As to why I'm here, well, that's a complicated story. Let's just say I no longer had a home there, so I relocated here," she continued. To be fair, Sakuya wasn't lying. She had to run away from Japan when she found out she was the target of a manhunt for a series of orchestrated homicides. Maria was talking to a murderer, but the teacher didn't know that and Sakuya was sure as hell she wasn't going to let the young woman find out so easily. "I don't really want to talk about it. Anyway, so you hail from London. That's quite far from Mosaic City, which is on the coast of China. You were here since you were little? Why'd you have to move?"

Japan, Maria heard really great things from that land. Strange and stupid things too, but that was just about everywhere. Sakuya said she didn't want to talk about it, so it was most likely bad for her there. Sakuya's next question was what she was doing here if she was born in London. "My father received a good offer to work here, hence we all moved. It was to good to ignore." Which about summed it up. "I don't have really memories from there, so I don't really care much. I wouldn't even know which house we lived in if we walked past it now. She said to Sakuya. It must be hard not being able to go to the land you were born. She really felt sorry for Sakuya.

"I see," Sakuya said solemnly. "I guess it must be good to be here then, when everybody's moving here for the job opportunities. As long as you don't mind leaving the place you were born or possibly raised behind, then I suppose it's fine." A good offer to work here... Yeah, that was Sakuya too, though indirectly and not in exactly the same way. Sakuya was able to find more work and jobs here in Mosaic City as well. It did help that with the lockdown, it was much easier to be discreet about her assassinations and murders. And it was a lot easier to dispose the evidence, as barely anyone ever went out of the city, let alone explore the outskirts of the now desolate outer areas of the city. "Heh... If you're wondering about the memories I had from where I came from... Don't worry about it. All I have are bad memories I'd love to leave behind."

Maria did not mind it, but it wasn't like she had a choice back then. Her father was dead sent on this job. Mother on the other hand didn't like it one bit. In fact she still missed London. They still visited London every year in the summer. "I hope this entire situation is handled in July. We usually go back to London for a week or two every year then." She told Sakuya. She drank a little more from her drink. "Did you hear anything about when it would be over?" Maria asked just in case. Maria hadn't heard anything lately but she had been busy adapting to all these changes in short time.

Sakuya shook her head. "I wouldn't count on that being resolved any time soon. Not unless some people take immediate action. And I assume that people are taking action. Whether it be people capable of using Persona or not." she sighed. "So no, I didn't hear anything about when it would be over. I have no idea what's going to happen. But we should stay on our guard in case something bad happens. Or, we may have to take matters into our own hands. Let's be vigilant." Sakuya nodded to herself and looked back out to sea. She really had no idea when this would end, but she wasn't particularly in a rush to end hostilities. She was more thinking that it would end when it would end. Whether it would come from Persona Users or if it would come from some other force...

That didn't sound good. Sure Sakuya couldn't know for sure, but that it won't end soon was a bad sign. Yes we should stay on our guard indeed. Anything might happen in here. Nobody seemed to know who actually was behind this all. Were it the shadows, or was there a greater danger? "Sakuya, Maybe we should exchange phone numbers in case something comes up. Or if we just wanna hang out again." She said to the girl. Sakuya was a nice girl so she sure wanted to hang out again, though that didn't had to mean it was over yet. It also would progress a lot more if they worked together.

Sakuya nodded and fidgeted with her pockets, procuring her purple smartphone and preparing to exchange contact details with Maria. "Alright," she said, fetching her own number and letting Maria see. "Here's my phone number. Give me a call or a message if you ever want or need me for anything. If I can help or if you just wanna hang out, I should probably be free. My work schedule tends to be erratic." she continued. Well, it wouldn't hurt. The real task would be making sure Maria didn't find out she was a Shadow. Then again, something told her deep inside that it would come up sooner or later. That it was perhaps unavoidable.

Maria took a good look at Sakuya's number and started to type it in. She saved it under 'Sakuya'. She also showed Sakuya her number so she could write hers down too. "alright, that's good. I am usually working in weekdays from about nine in the morning till four in the afternoon." She answered. She was still wondering what Sakuya was putting so much effort in to hide from her. Was it something so awful that she couldn't tell her about it, or was she afraid over how Maria would react. She really liked it today, she didn't had so much fun in a while.
