Shirako's apartment is clean. Not in the sense that it's free of dust or germs- there's probably plenty of both if you look outside of the kitchen or bed- but in the sense that it's completely sterile of signs of interests or entertainment. It's a clear sign that the woman only uses it as a base of operations, as opposed to a proper living facility. The kitchen is the only part of the place that's fully stocked, and even that is more out of necessity, what with the need of healthy foods in her diet.
