Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Had the place been so dreary and obtusely boring like the mines, then maybe Vice would finally understand what Holly meant about having nothing else to explore in a certain stratum. Thankfully for the young man, there was a whole lot more to the cathedral that he had yet to have fun with and thus could not be considered boring just yet. Swirling patterns, zigzagging path ways, it could probably be a labyrinth if one didn't know how to trace their steps and such.
Didn't matter though, Vice actually had a map this time to help him out with the the areas he's already been into. Exploring some of the routes that he had found on his earlier expeditions but had yet to really traverse, the biker hoped to find something good along the way. Maybe some Shadow activity that didn't include a battle to the death, even if it was still fun.
Acquisition of knowledge came in many forms. Fun, engaging, useful, active, and a whole plethora of other adjectives but it was this particular one that most academics hated with a passion. Boring, boorish, inactive, redundant, there was really a lot of things to say but come the bottom line it just wasn't enjoyable. Still, the young man pushed on through, actually spending quite a bit of time to see what the hell the thing was doing before doing anything else of note. Information was being written down, notes were being added, and a few more referencing was being done…but come the time that Vice had deemed the amount to be good enough, along with a rough sketch of it, well, he wasn't going to just leave a shadow lying around.
Time for glorious battle.
Which didn't turn out to be as glorious as it could have been. Sure he couldn't observe much about fighting but the size and theoretical analysis done on the shadow in the amount of time spent observing it still had a lot of uses. That said, a lot of its more physical attacks went over Vice's head, its prized Heaven's Blade not even leaving a dent on the User. Primal Force and Agidyne did a number on him, but not so much so that the User would even consider as 'detrimental.' That, and it didn't really have a lot of strength after getting hammered by two Black Vipers. And as it evaporated into black ichor after a dramatic death sequence of it raving and thrashing about, Vice once more took note of what just happened and filed it for future needs.
For once, staying behind and watching the puddle of ichor ebb away into nothing bore him fruit. Not only did he gain some good experience from the prior observation, he had been lucky enough to find another Module that the Knight had dropped after its death. With a plain smirk on his face, the young man bent down and pulled up the small spherical baseball sized trinket and tossed it in his hand as if testing the weight.
Vice decided to just inspect it later to find out what it actually does, but seeing as it was dropped by a particularly good shadow, it was bound to be useful whatever it was. Turning his back from the area, the young man then proceeded to head out the floating castle.
