Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The robotic persona flitted about the air, plucking on the lyre that he carried with him to create a soothing environment to the otherwise dreary atmosphere. Really, picking up a couple of junk here and there wasn't exactly the most amazing of things to do but apparently, on one of the sites that Vincent had frequented concerning the shutting in of the inner city, there was a woman out here in what they call as the Gap to be willing to transfer junk for something. Seeing no harm in checking this out, whether it was true or not, Vincent had made his way towards the place with a bag full of worthless trinkets that he had managed to gather from the Shop that he worked at.
Finding said stranger that was willing to take the trash from his hands in exchange for goodies, the insensitive male just thumped the bag over the counter and waited for the magic to happen. What the hell was he supposed to say anyway 'hi i want cash for my junk?' Yeah right, as if that would fly with them.

Okay, so there was a ton more of junk just lying around in the outside. That, and the junk from his workshop was a bit more important in terms of them ever needing anything for his job. So instead of using all of that, Vincent finally got the smart idea of just packing with him things he found whenever he went on the outside.
It was a lot more efficient and the only problem was keeping it in the workshop for when he had to go out. Then again, some of the stuff he did find still helped after a bit of cleaning. Reaching the same wooden table top, the clinking of metals inside the bag, the Android waited for trader to give him the stuff. If last time worked, then this shouldn't be any different.

Somehow, someway, Vincent found a way. There was always bound to be some junk to find everywhere, and sometimes having a slightly packrat mentality helped with that. Everything one can find will always have some kind of use, even if it meant that their only actual use was to be given away to some random chick in the middle of god knows where in exchange for some cash to line his pockets with in the event that he found someone who could make parts for him.
Which, luckily, he already did. Now he just needed said funds to get said blacksmith to make those parts for him so he could go out and gather more junk. A vicious cycle, but if it got stuff he needed then the currently undriven mechanic was gonna do it.

Any previous plans for trading in the cash he'd get from this was scrapped away. Apparently what Pyxis told him did happen, where getting stuff that was actually usable from the remains of shadows. It probably had a very small chance for anything like that happening. That said, he still needed some cash to help out with the old man's business that was currently in the red due to the lack of worthwhile customers.
SLightly, Vincent would admit, that he had gotten attached to the place. It wouldn't do to lose an abode that was already comfortable to him and not to mention he was also helping out in running the city no matter how small. So with that in mind, even if he wasn't capable of taking on quite the amount of shadows like the other users, he could at least help in his own way.
Dropping the bag of junk unceremoniously on the counter top, the android proceeded to let the trader finish up the results so he could get whatever cash he could.

The old man today was pretty happy for some reason, though Vincent wasn't quite sure why. There was actually more food than usual that had been prepared on the table and the worker was a lot more persistent today on making sure that the android got to eat as much as he could.
The scraps of the breakfast was something though, probably enough to last the two a few more days for now. The garbage though, most of them having been spare and unusable parts for some reason, well, Vincent got the smart idea of maybe dropping by the strange lady to exchange in some of the junk and leave some food for her. What ever she was, food usually helped in the whole offertory thing.
So here he was, carrying a small brown bag that had some food in it and a bag of junk on the other. He made sure not to let the two touch cause of stupid reasons but who knew if the woman was more sterile than she led herself to be? Sliding the food first into a safe position before dragging the bag unto the counter top itself, Vincent then just waited for the usual routine to happen.
