Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

The previous engagement had done little for the young man's entertainment. The enemies had been, frankly, fairly disappointing. Then again, he doubted the lesser Shadows would be able to please him too much anymore. After all, what all else had he dealt with by then? Sentients, which were way more powerful or unique. At the very least, more intelligent. In some cases. There was the ogre. That'd be interesting to do in. Of course, the thing he got his armor from, that Reaper, was also an impressive opponent. And then there were the enemies they faced during the full moons.
. . . put simply, these lesser Shadows needed to step it up. His battle abilities might have gone limp if he didn't get another good opponent.

A blast of fire surged and hit the boy. However, rather than him just brushing it aside, he absorbed the flames and the heat, taking them into himself and using it as sustenance. The flames healed him. And, more than that? They only served to ignite his fighting spirit further. It amused him that this Shadow thought it was a good idea to attack him. The lesser Shadows in the terminal completely avoided him by that point. Even in some of the other locations, Shadows would try their best to hide from him, if they were weaker. Seemed he hadn't quite reached a level to deter these upper-level knuckleheads, though. Oh well. He could make an example of this sort well enough.
Now, if it used fire, there was a good chance it would have been a waste of his effort to utilize his own fire spells. In that case, Elma could return the love with her tail's other typical function. The boy willed for an Arrow Rain, and the appendage fired out a ball towards the ceiling. It exploded, letting a rain of extremely sharp and pointy spires cascade over the giant. Seemed it didn't like Pierce attacks. That was nice to know, even if it would prove useful for a very short period of time. The boy shot in like a bullet, speeds only possible due to the Heat Riser layers he put up earlier, and twirled like a top as he circled around the Shadow. His scissors put a nasty bit of damage into the Shadow. It turned, readying to attack him again, but a second rain of spires put it down.
Quick and easy, just the way it should have been at that point.
