Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Tatsuma should have thought twice about venturing into a freaking sewer system. It was his best idea ever to fall into that hole in the Shadowlands and end up in the place that smelled worse than the used socks of the substitute priest back home. Hell, it probably mixed with the stench of a clogged toilet and rotten flesh. Just the greatest idea ever, really.
In any case, now he had to find a way out instead of getting further into the system, like he originally intended to. The plan was to check out the place and get out, but now it was more like trying to get out and also checking it out while he was here. Seriously, if he didn’t get out within thirty minutes, he was afraid his nose would rot away like that suspicious rat-like thing he saw a few steps away...
He called for Behemoth to walk next to him in case anything would pop out of the sewer’s waters. The beast snorted, not at all pleased, and Tatsuma could see it pull up its maw out of discomfort. Right, if he didn’t like the stench, he could just imagine how his beast-like alter ego felt.

Yeah, that too I mean ew
It was obvious a shadow would show up soon enough. It was the Shadowlands in the end, so Tatsuma wasn’t surprised when he saw a rather humanoid enemy appear before him. However, he was surprised and quite much disgusted by the appearance of the shadow, not to mention the stench it brought with him. If possible, it was even worse than before.
He wasn’t sure he could stand the smell for long, so he started with boosting his attack with Tarukaja before the Gigas launched an attack. It was strong, Tatsuma could feel it through Behemoth who took the hit. Fatal End connected, but Behemoth stood its ground and sent dark energy at their foe. Even Behemoth seemed like it wouldn’t want to get closer to the Gigas and make the fight more physical. The less contact they made the less shitty things would get. Literally, hopefully.
The Gigas seem to take normal damage from darkness, so Tatsuma decided to stick with that. He could bet his favorite skating jacket on that the shadow was not weak against anything physical. Then again, he could be wrong, but still, he didn’t want to use his own physical attacks this time. The Gigas attacked again, this time with Viper Smash. Behemoth howled, and darkness enveloped the shadow as retaliation. With the boosted attack, it looked like darkness was doing the trick. Of course, the fact the Gigas was using its own life energy also made it easier for Tatsuma to chip down its endurance bit by bit.
As Tatsuma was trying to keep a safe distance, the Gigas reacted accordingly, and sent a Poison Arrow his way. It took him by surprise, and yet again, the attack connected. Dizziness flooded his senses, which he thought was because of the stench still lingering around, so he ordered Behemoth to attack again. The Gigas faltered from the attack, but didn’t yet fell. Tatsuma felt a wave of nausea wash through him as the attack connected, and he knew that something else was going on.
The Gigas rushed in again, and from the simple attack it delivered, Tatsuma knew it didn’t have the stamina to come at him with anything stronger. This will be it, he thought when the last of the Mudoon seeped into the skin of the Gigas to turn it into black mist a moment later. At the same time, Tatsuma felt his limbs growing heavier. Damn it! Was it poisonous?

He could feel his legs begin to shake, and it took all his concentration not to fell on his knees in the middle of the sewer. It was definitely poison, even Behemoth was whining quietly before disappearing back into the deepest parts of his soul. He kept one hand on the wall as he was navigating toward the entrance of the sewers to make sure he wouldn’t randomly trip on his own feet. Nausea was making the world spin and his vision blur.
Poison was the worst, he decided quickly, or at least he assumed it to be until he didn’t know it better. But it wasn’t better to walk back into his apartment through the city with the speed of a snail, smelling and feeling like shit the whole way and even after. Citizens avoided him like a plague, which he would understand if he was at the right mindset to care. He hated the sewers, that was also an easy decision to make.
