Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
It was time, that time of the day when he would go out seeking rather than waiting for something to happen. Music rang through his headphones, some obscure tunes from his own country, bands which most probably had yet to hear of. Yet none of it mattered in the long run because there was one thing that people did understand. The shadows needed to be destroyed. It was amazing that the shadows had yet to attach to his loneliness, to use it against him, but he had a strong will and he had Claudia. So was he ever truly alone?
What had popularity got him to this point? Nothing. Claudia had appeared for him in the face of danger when no one else. He knew she liked to play, so it was time for them to play, and entering the gallery was the first of many they would take on their journey together. He knew well of the infestation here, but what was the source? Why this place of all places? Was it because of the emotion that artists put into their work? Was that even what attracted the shadows anymore? He didn't know, but he had a purpose and he would fulfill it.
His feet made soft taps of sound as he made his way through the gallery, those red eyes scanning each painting, and every sculpture. Perhaps under different circumstances he might have enjoyed bringing someone here, but such a pleasure was lost to this place. Just another abandoned memory of the world that used to be.
Boom boom chh da boom boom chh. The music in his headphones echoed to the outside world. It didn't seem like much of a noise, but he knew that even silence was sometimes enough to stir up the shadows. Fickle little buggers they were and he knew that very well. He could hear the trickling chime of Claudia's voice resonating through him even over the noise within his headphones it was not difficult for him to determine the reason. Especially when they presented themselves from the darkness ahead of himself.
Aegyo made a face as the shadows pulled themself before him. It was sad to him, how pathetic they looked, always hungering to devour the life of those that came across them. If they had not been shadows he might have felt sorry for them, but there was nothing of them left to feel sorry for. Not in Aegyo's eyes and that was enough for him to have no guilt over ridding the world of their existence.
In any other circumstance, he might have laughed purely at the sight of those creatures. Especially that of the tiara. As if it were some cruel joke that needed to be laughed at to get over it, but this was no laughing matter. Shadows were shadows and shadows had to meet with the light in due time. A sadistic grins pread those thin lips as he tugged the cord from his player. "Lets play, Claudia!" He declared as he summoned her to fight along side him. "Bufu! " he declared as pointed toward the Tiara.
With her arms crossed over the heart shaped space in her chest she rushed forward and when her arms opened that ice based attack spilled forth over the shadow. Striking it several times. It was lucky in his part that his persona's skill was ice based and it became clear as the shadow took a critical hit, but his battle was not over. Not even as that first shadow disolved. One shadow down still left one to be dealt with, but before he could pull his next move the shadow attacked.
Darkness spilled over them as the creature used Mudo on them. The hit of the attack did minor damage due to Claudia's resist, but it was still a noticable annoyance. A breath escaped Aegyo's lips as he smirked, "My turn now." He stated shakily toward the shadow as he pointed toward it, "Such a waste of good art will end here." With those words spoken he charged forward. Those headphones falling off his head as he swung the wires toward the creature. Using that minor cleave upon the creature. Jerking backward upon the wires and catching those headphones as they reached him again. Grinning wildly despite the fact that the shadow still standing.
"Omo..There's some fight left in you yet." He stated with surprise. Though he hardly had time for surprise as the shadow struck at him with skewer. He tried to move out of the way, but he was not nearly quick enough and a gash upon his upper arm. Drew visible upon his skin. His teeth clenched as he felt the itch blood starting to surface. The minor injury wasn't enough to slow him down and in a fit of frustration he charged forward. Lashing out at that shadow with those wires once again. This time the wires cut through the shadow and the painting disolved away.
Giving soft pants of breath he looked toward claudia, "It ruined my sweater." He stated as he leaned over a bit to catch his breath. Pressing his fingers into that hole in the fabric the creature's attack had caused. The blood touching the fabric there was a sure sign that the sweater was ruined now. A pity really, he'd have to find a way to restore it, but for now that was neither here nor there. He pulled those headphones back on, plugging them back in, and he sighed.. "How am I supposed to make a good impression on people with a hole-filled sweater?" he asked aloud.
The music filled his ears once more and with a mild look of disappointment on his face he and Claudia once more became one. It was a shame his sweater was ruined, though it only made it tempting to go around telling everyone that he'd been in some gloriously difficult battle, barely escaping with a mere hole in his sweater. Though he couldn't bring himself to boost opinions with lies. So he had to work hard to make himself stronger, so that he could have exciting encounters like that, but until then it was time to continue on. His music one more blaring through his headphones he made his leave.
