Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

One rest later, and Anna flew her way back down into the massive pit. The enemies down here were pleasantly strong, allowing her plenty of chance to get back into shape after her vacation. She really needed it, at that. She'd only been out of the game for a few weeks, but she was still feeling rusty enough that the last fight had caused her enough problems to force her to rest. All the more reason to keep going once she had rested, though. Fighting was something that needed to be done as often as possible, or else she risked losing her edge.
Besides, it was just fun.

A couple of shadows appeared, one riding on top of the other. The mount, a Beast, let out a roar, then they charged at the flying Persona and riding User. The rider of the two, a Gigas, swung a sword at Anna descended on them. Anna directed Thunderbird back up, out of the way of the attack, and retaliated with a shotgun blast aimed straight at the rider. The slug punched through the shadow's chest, leaving a gaping hole where it had hit. Amazingly though, this wasn't enough to finish off the Gigas. It recoiled from the blast, but still managed to turn the Beast shadow around and face Anna again.
"Well ain't you a tough one?" Anna asked. She slid off of Thunderbird as it landed, staring down the shadow duo. Her Persona took off again, leaving a trail of clouds in its wake as it hovered over Anna. The Beast and Gigas charged again, the latter with one fist drawn back to slam into the slender woman before them. Anna took the hit, but stood her ground as bolts of lightning fell from Thunderbird's body, striking both shadows at once. The Beast convulsed under the attack, clearly weak to it, and flung the Gigas off. Grinning madly, Anna pointed her umbrella shotgun at the downed rider and fired again, destroying it.
The Beast was undeterred by losing its rider, however, and with a roar, appeared to recover its lost vitality. Anna simply smiled, and directed a powerful blast of wind from Thunderbird at the shadow. But, the shadow simply stood there and took it, appearing undamaged.
Yeah, she should have expected that. So as the shadow roared again, she broke its resistance. The shadow let loose a blast of lightning, but it did very little to Anna or, naturally, Thunderbird. Anna's smile never faded as she charged up. The clouds surrounding Thunderbird's body became pitch black, and the lightning jumping between them became fierce. The Beast shadow called down another bolt of lightning, but Anna barely noticed as she unleashed a fresh blast of wind. The shadow was caught up in a massive cyclone, and got thrown against a wall. As it recovered, it attempted to heal itself again, but Anna had already started charging up for the finisher. She took one more lightning blast, and signaled the shadow's end with one of her own. Thunderbird swooped down over the 'floor' of the pit, scattering bolts of lightning in its weak. Several of them struck the shadow, and even with its healing it couldn't withstand all of them, and the last one to hit it destroyed it.

How did a shadow end up being weak to its primary means of attack, anyway? What if something reflected it? ...Oh well. Anna may have wondered about the logic behind it, but trying to find out would most likely only lead to disappointment. If it worked, it worked. Knowing what to do in fights with shadows was usually more important than understanding the logic behind stranger cases. Sometimes, it helped with finding patterns. But in the case of shadows like the now dead beast that seemed more like they were put together by a random enemy generator, that usually didn't apply.
Well, whatever the case, Anna was still good to go. So she continued onward.
