Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Well, here you are. Take caution, she told you, and yet you decide to charge straight for the next danger zone. Are you sure you don't just want to jump in front of a bus? Death will come to you swifter and less painfully...
'If it would get you to shut up, I might just consider it, you shit.'
Kaitou crept into the abandoned hangars of Mosaic's old airport. Ikusaba drawn and held firm in his hands as he observed the location's state of ruin. As of late, he'd become considerably more capable of fighting against Shadows, and after considering his options for tonight's exploration, he decided to take his chances with advancing further towards the edge of the barrier.
Might as well play Russian Roulette, don't you think? That's what you do every night with these reckless bouts against the Shadows anyway. Hoh!
"Christ, shut up!!!" The voice that had been taunting him since the battle against The Thinker had become more and more aggravating as time passed, up to the point that every thought that the man made was countered with a snide remark. To say Kaitou was sick of it was a severe understatement.
However, this time he'd lost his temper and wound up voicing his anger aloud. The sound echoed across the desolated hangar, and sure enough the sounds of roused Shadows resonated all around. "Great... Now look what you've done. I really didn't want to get in a fight tonight..."
Now now, don't lie. We both know that risking your life is the main reason you came out all this way.

Figures. An airplane Shadow in an air hangar. Like the tank he'd fought the other week, it was not quite scaled to the size of an actual fighter jet, and hovered idly near the floor before seeing the human. The plane's turbines began to glow and it immediately released a destructive whorl of air towards Kaitou. Unable to dodge, he instead held his sword up in a defensive stance and braced himself for impact. When the gust passed, it ripped small tears and cuts across his body, but otherwise didn't prove to be fatal.
Hey, not bad! You aren't dead yet.
Ignoring the taunts of the voice, Kaitou rushed over to the Shadow, slashing at its wing. His assault was met by a similar charge from the plane as its wings began to shimmer with light. The two clashed, but to no effect. Well, hacking its wings off didn't seem to be an option anymore as it would simply strengthen that part and deflect his slash. While he was thinking, the Shadow had put some distance between them again and began firing from a mounted machine gun on its underbelly. "Che...!" Kaitou rolled behind a pillar and waited for the attack to subside, formulating a new plan of attack. From the looks of things, the fighter plane didn't like getting too close, and he didn't really have any means of ranged attack... Unless...
Oh, that again? How unoriginal!
'Can it.'
When the spray of bullets faded, the man jumped from behind the pillar to face his opponent who looked to once again prepare a blast of wind. "Sorry, but I'm not drawing this one out... Hrah!" Spinning his sword to an underhand grip, Kaitou hurled the blade straight at the plane, lodging it in one of the turbines. With the obstruction placed, any attempt to stay aloft would be met with...
BOOM!
Explosive results. As the fireworks of the Shadow faded, Kaitou walked over to pick up his blade. Thankfully, Ikusaba came out of the exchange looking far healthier than the other. "How about that, huh... The least you could do if you're going to pretend to be a man-made object is try to defy its mechanical rules. Idiot. Let's get back to exploring..."
