Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

♬Never enough charity to go around
While her first encounter with a shadow didn't yield much except for an unattractive wound on her face, the Cerynitian Hind has helped her since then. Sure, it wasn't an exceptionally huge haul, but it was something. Word through the grapevine had mentioned a peculiar woman that managed to set up shop in the outer circle that was fond of collecting the things no one else was. It wasn't as though she had much use for what she had, so may as well get something for it. It took a little bit of hunting to figure out where she was, having only heard the rumors up until now. Anne had just about decided to call it a night, figuring the rumors were just a hoax.
Finally, she found it. She shifted her bag on her shoulders as she entered, unsure what to say or what she was supposed to do exactly. The woman didn't really say much, so Ariane just shifted uncomfortably for a moment before taking her bag off of her shoulder. 'This just feels silly.' Clearing her throat she started taking the few things she had in her bag out, putting them on the counter. Hey, if the rumors were right it would be nice to have some extra cash in her pocket that she didn't plan on having before.

This visit her amount of scraps from exploring the outer circle was limited. Anne had discovered that the strange woman would collect almost anything, though. Thankfully this made getting some quick cash at least a little bit easier. There were some seedlings she had to spare from her own personal garden that she was running out of room for--why not bring them here? The greenhouse had plenty, and she could bring more there later. Still, it felt silly going to such a strange place as this with such normal everyday items. So to balance it out she made sure to get some oddities she'd picked up as well. It wasn't as though she was quite used to this craziness yet, after all! If she didn't want this junk but the strange woman did, she could have it.

It was baffling, it really was. It seemed no matter what she brought in, the woman would take it. And Anne had some serious junk collected. She took this chance to try and push her limits--really see if she had a limit as to what she would take. No matter what, though, she took it and (seemingly) happily gave her her money in return. As strange as it is, and as much as Ariane wanted answers, she realized sometimes one just had to accept things as she was handed them. If the blonde wanted to give her basically free cash, then hey, who was she to complain? Taking her weekly collection she laid it out on the counter, giving a weak smile.

As had become routine, Anne walked into the junk emporium. She had managed to get a few snazzy things to turn in from her usual hunt. It was half tempting to keep some of them, since it didn't seem to make a difference what she handed the blonde woman. In the end, she decided that whatever purpose the woman had to gather things it had to have been at least a little important. If it was, Anne should make sure to at least bring something more useful then plantings and shrubbery. After all, while she didn't know anything about the woman she was pretty sure she wasn't a Knight of Ni.

More stuff, more cash. Her weekly trip arrived once again, though this time she had some more little things from that ridiculous battle the other night. Pretty much everything she dumped onto the counter was covered with sand. Like she thought, she had been finding it everywhere. Even at home with things that she didn't have on her that night, it was like a plague! Just as she thought she had to have vacuumed up the last of it, more came pouring out of nowhere. She was almost beginning to think that was the demon's real plot--infect the city with rivers of sand so everything was gritty and gross. Brushing off the sand from the counter the best she could she sighed, apologizing quietly. Just because the woman was weird as all heck didn't mean she deserved the sand-plague too.

Anne was a day late this week, and she chastised herself for it. She could have had a little more spending money yesterday, but noooo. Apparently sleeping in was more important than making her way over here to turn in the junk she had accumulated. So, instead of getting her cash, she just had more crap laying around the loft for a whole 'nother day. The stuff in it's bags clattered together, causing Anne to hold it a little more carefully. Even if she was just handing it in, she didn't want to be rude enough to hand it in broken. Placing it all on the counter, she smiled as politely as she could without being ridiculously awkward.

Once again it was time to unload all of the miscellaneous junk Anne had hoarded over the week. There may not have been all that much this time, but she knew the blonde woman would take it all the same. Some of it, she noticed as she pulled it from the bag, still had a fine coating of sand all over it. It had been how long since the fight on the beach? All of those wind attacks just got it absolutely everywhere. Thankfully it was becoming more and more scarce, but that still didn't make it any less annoying. Hoisting her bag back over her shoulder she smiled at the blonde woman, niceties not becoming any less important just because the woman didn't really say much.
