Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Anna had made her way around most of the base of the sinkhole now, scouting out the areas around the edges from atop Thunderbird and occasionally using bolts of lightning to light her way. From what she could see, there was definitely more to this area than just the bottom of a pit, but most of the rest was caves that would be difficult to get into without going on foot. Being that it wasn't entirely corporeal, Thunderbird had no trouble materializing in small spaces. But for Anna to fly into them on its back was another matter entirely.
Ah well.
She landed, and dismissed the massive Persona for the time being, then headed into one of the larger caves to continue her exploration and warmup.

A bug and a lady. An odd combination, but if that was what Anna found, then she could still work with that. She summoned Thunderbird again and dropped the defenses of both shadows, then shifted her focus to the beetle first and hit it with a massive gust of wind. The wind blast threw it back, deeper into the cave, where it struggled to right itself, but left the other shadow with an easy opening to attack Anna. It did, with a freezing blast. Anna responded by blowing that one away as well, knocking its chair over and forcing it to get up on its own.
Meanwhile, the beetle came back, and slammed headlong into Anna. That was fine. She could keep playing this game. She hit the beetle with Panta Rhei again, sending it back to where it had landed from the first attack. Only this time, it didn't survive the trip, and dissolved into nothing as it landed. The Mother shadow finished setting itself back up as the beetle died, and attacked Anna with a slashing attack. But Anna took the hit with her usual nonchalance and finished it off as well with a final windstorm attack.
Well that was rather underwhelming. It felt less like a battle and more like a game of racquetball, only with two balls that occasionally tried to kill her. Still, Anna wasn't really satisfied. She'd been planning on moving on after this fight, but...hmm, maybe one more. First, she'd look and see if there was anything of interest in the cave, though. She kept Thunderbird summoned and drifting in and out of the walls as she moved forward. The occasional bolt of lightning or glowing snake hanging off of its wings provided a small amount of light, which in the otherwise pitch blackness of the cave was more than enough to see by.
