It could not be disputed that Kaitou had become leaps and bounds more powerful than he was just a few weeks ago. Whether it was years' worth of fighting finally converting itself into strength or the fact that he'd exposed himself to the community of Users, he could not say. All that he was certain of was that he'd gotten a hell of a lot better at handling himself in the Shadowlands. He'd even managed to knock down a couple of powerful Shadows himself (with the help of some teammates, ahem). However, becoming more capable wasn't all compliments and congratulations for the heir. As he continued to progressively explore the more dangerous Shadow lairs, the warnings from his cousins became more and more severe. Be careful, they'd say. Don't travel too high up the executive building, they'd say. You don't have a Persona, so your ability to fight is inhibited, they'd say. Even after Kaitou began to regularly explore the same regions that they would, the two would not acknowledge his prowess and take him along like they once had.No, the only words they had for Kaitou were that of caution. And he was quickly becoming sick of it. Tonight, they had even tried to prevent Kaitou from leaving the house to explore-- an action that would spur a large argument between the three adults. This ended with the heir forcing his way through his kin before running towards the subway. Now he was cold, bitter, and extremely agitated, so he decided to take his anger out as best as he knew: by engaging stronger, more dangerous Shadows. And so in your insolence, you have led yourself to the abandoned mines of this city... But fret not! You need neither the approval nor company of your family to find and embrace Death. Hohoh, but if you want it that badly, perhaps you should just let me help you?The voice in his head wasn't helping much, as one could guess. Rather, its taunting had become far more overt over the past few days, and what was perhaps most baffling was that the brunet seemed to be taking its advice half of the time, wandering into the more dangerous parts of the Shadowlands just because it made the notion. What was Kaitou looking for at this point? Clues to fight against the Shadow military? Hints that could help them escape? Maybe it was something simpler than that. Maybe all he really wanted was to die fighting.
