Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

♪But you've got your own agenda...
This hospital always seemed terrifying to her whenever she was out this way before. This time, whether it was the fact she was getting away with less and less bodily harm with each excursion or the fact that she had actually had a full nights rest the day before, Anne felt confident. It still looked spooky as all hell sure, but a manageable amount of spook she felt qualified to handle. The Cerynitian Hind was already at her side at the ready, however. You know. Just in case.
As she walked through the eerie halls, Anne rubbed her arms, trying to quell the goosebumps that had taken up residence there. “I always hated hospitals. Even when they were happy and cheerful, let alone when they look like a serial killer has taken up residence.” She stopped for a moment, looking over at the extension of her psyche and frowning, “You don’t think a serial killer lives here, do you? The shadows would kill him right away… wouldn’t they?”
The Hind said nothing, glancing at Anne with her red eyes. Sighing, Anne turned to look back straight ahead. Sometimes she wondered how Cery could essentially be a part of her, she seemed so foreign still. As she looked down the hall, though, something caught her eye, and she got serious quickly. Standing straight, Anne and Cery slid into their battle poses simultaneously. There was something there, they could see it.

Ahhh, more blobs. Now this was something she could handle. Why was she so scared to begin with? Terrifying hospitals didn’t necessarily mean terrifying spooks. She had taken care of this type of shadow before--what could be so different now? Cracking her knuckles she grinned. Time to get this over with, then. Kicking forward, she charged the leftmost shadow and struck down with the heel of her right hand. Only, instead of meeting with the squishy give that the last ones did, this one seemed rock hard. “What the…” Bewildered, she looked down at it for a moment as it reared up and returned her punch with one of it’s own.
Cursing loudly she brought her left arm up to try block most of it, jumping backwards away from the thing and cradling her arm. “Cery, Bufu!” If it didn’t like to be punched, maybe it would like some ice to the face instead. The Cerynitian hind held her hand out, and the first shadow disappeared in smoke. Groaning, Anne turned to the last two, contemplating if she dared try fighting them hand-to-hand too. Before she could really try, the one closest to her charged, it’s stubby little arm raised to attack.
Turning her head to it, she lifted her arm to catch it, punching it with her other arm instead and using both of her hands to fling it to the side. After all this time, she was finally getting the hang of countering these buggers, little by little. “Bufu!” Once more, as the blob flew through the air, she clenched her fist. Before it could land, the ice assaulted it and made quick work of it.
Alrighty, then, just one more to go. As Anne and the shadow turned to look at each other, the blob held it’s hands as if it were holding an bow and arrow, drawing it’s little arms back before releasing. The dark arrow shot straight at her and she crossed her arms in front of her, the arrow meeting it’s target. Oddly enough it didn’t hurt nearly as much as she expected, and she glanced to the Cerynitian Hind--she had a feeling she knew why. Grinning again she held a hand out, “One last time, Cery--Bufu!” The shadow screeched as it was hit with the ice, and in it’s distraction Anne dashed up to it, kicking it sharply to the side, watching as her leg seemed to go through it while it disappeared into smoke.
See? Just like she thought. The blobs weren’t so bad, even if the heel of her hand was pretty sore and her arm would probably bruise now.
