Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

【Purification in Progress】
What compelled Anne to investigate the sewers of all places she would never understand. She supposed it was along the same idea as her investigation of the subway--it was underground, so perhaps there would be a better chance of sneaking out. That decision was quickly being regretted. Her sleeve held up to her nose, she tried her best to breathe past the stench. “If I come back here, I’m bringing a bandana to wear over my face. Or a gas mask. Or I'll just avoid this place altogether.” Mumbling into her sleeve, she pushed onward, scowl painted plain as day on her face. At the very least she had thought to wear rain boots, so that was a point for her in her mind. It was better than sludging through here in her sneakers.
Either way, her gut was churning with more than disgust for the stench. Where there weren’t people, there were shadows. Granted, she doubted people in their right mind would come here even if it wasn’t near the edge of town, but still. She may be ditsy at times, but she wasn’t dumb. If she was able to look around here without being ambushed by something or another, she'd eat her nasty boot.

Eugh, just what she wanted. Another giant metal lookin’ creep while she was knee deep in gross. At the very least it didn’t look like a tank, but she knew by this point appearances meant nothing. It could shoot pillars of flames from it’s multiple crazy looking pinwheel fins for all she knew. Taking a deep breath she moved her sleeve, she’d just have to try and ignore the stench until she didn’t have to worry about being turned into another stain to match the decor.
Holding her hand up she focused eyes narrowed. “Come’on Cery, let’s hurry up and get rid of this fish.” The Cerynitian Hind appeared above her, skull hiding her expression. “It looks like a whale. Whales are mammals.” Rolling her eyes, the redhead looked up, frowning. “I don’t need sass from myself right now, thank you very much.” Ignoring that it looked like the hind was laughing under her mask, Anne turned back to the whale. “Since it’s metal, let’s try magic early this time--Bufu!” The Hind held her hand up, flexing her fingers at their foe. Right away they could tell something was wrong.
The ice shards that should have sent the thing back did nothing. Instead, if anything, what hit it bounced off, and what stuck the shadow just shook off. Well, that was peachy. Seemingly enraged by being attacked it turned to face the duo, the strange protrusions on it’s sides turning to face her. Preparing herself she held her arms in front of her, eyes focused on the shadow to see what it would do. After glowing for a minute, it shot two beams of light at her. Her arms took most of the blow, and she smirked. It was immune to her attack, but Cery helped her quite a bit with his.
Kicking forward towards the fish she pointed from the Hind to the shadow. “You skewer it from the side, I’ll take it head on.” Getting as close to the thing as she could, she started punching as fast as she could in the only spots that seemed at least a little bit softer. It groaned, turning to look at her right as the Cerynitian Hind dove in towards it’s side, shoving her blade in deep in it’s side. Screeching it turned, both of them in it’s sights as it’s eyes turned blue. Gritting her teeth Anne narrowed her eyes, trying to punch it again as it got it’s attack out. They were both blasted backwards for a second by the cold, but while it did chill her to the bone and cover her in frost, it didn’t hurt tremendously.
Grinning, she cracked her knuckles. From all their wailing on it she could tell it was getting weaker. Shouldn’t be much more left to it now. “Once more, with feeling, Cery.” Again she tried pummeling it’s squishy center, giving one last uppercut with her left hand as the Hind charged forward and stabbed at it’s other side. Sighing in relief while the shadow disappeared, she instantly felt the fight. It was possibly her longest one yet, and that disturbed her. If she ever got stuck against a big shadow like this one that couldn’t be hurt by anything she did, well… that would be that, wouldn’t it?
Still, that was a problem for future Ariane. For now it was time to get the hell home and take a twelve hour shower.
