Well, the last battle had been quite a trip. Anna had learned a few things from it, not the least of which being that whatever good intentions they might have had, the other Users in the city couldn't really be relied on. Well...most of them at least. There were still the odd few who could match her for strength, but most of the ones she'd met weren't quite cut out for the level of combat they faced. That was something that could be worked on, of course, but it would take time and probably wouldn't be finished before the next one.

There was also the matter of figuring out how to go about it. It needed to be done, because it was also abundantly clear that they couldn't keep going with only a few people. But how...that was the real question. While thinking it over, Anna wandered back into the library to kill time and shadows.

Well well, these were certainly uncommon shadows that Anna had just stumbled on. A statue, a Relic rather, split down the middle so that its two halves could easily separate, and a one-eyed humanoid shadow chained to a spiked wheel. Interesting. Stranger shadows were usually more fun to fight. Anna wondered how these would hold up.

She charged up, stirring up a windstorm as Thunderbird materialized. A supercell appeared around it, engulfing its body. Lightning crackled within it, but it was the winds that were more impressive. The two shadows seemed to panic as they attacked, one unleashing a sleep-inducing ability that failed to take hold and the other swinging body wildly as it punched Anna. Both failed to stop the oncoming storm. Anna unleashed her attack in the form of a tornado, which dropped down from the stormclouds surrounding Thunderbird and touched down near the Relic. Shear winds flowed into the whirlwind from all directions, pulling the Relic into the funnel where it was battered from all sides, then launched out into a nearby bookcase. It punched straight through the bookcase, dissolving as it flew out the other side.

The Cyclops, meanwhile, started charging up for another attack. But Anna did the same, and repeated the process on it, sucking it into a tornado after it slashed and failed to poison her, then launching it clear across several rows of bookshelves. She heard it collide with the ground several rows down, and took her time to walk around the bookcases and investigate. By the time she got there, it had managed to charge up for another attack, but as it lunged Anna raised her shotgun umbrella and put a slug through its single eye, finishing it off.
