Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Having let enough time pass to get her bearings back, Anne headed right back to the grind. She could feel herself getting stronger each time she did--it was obviously doing something right, even if it didn't yield many answers. Hey, beggars couldn't be choosers, right? As she walked with her hands in yet another new jacket, she focused on the Hind in that part of her mind until the huntress was near her again. Anne smiled at the strange part of her psyche that she was starting to slowly get more and more used to, despite still being a little confused a the whole situation. If she helped Anne protect herself, then who was she to complain? Considering they were just wandering through an abandoned crypt, she was sure she could use every ounce of protection she could manage.

Only one this time. This should be a piece of cake then, right? Even if it did look pretty eerie; just a floating skull surrounded by strange glowing... eyeballs? If she looked hard enough she almost thought she saw a shimmer of something else, too, but whatever it was Anne couldn't tell. It did give her the heebie jeebies a little bit, admittedly.
With the Hind at her side, Anne took her hands from her pockets, taking a strong pose as she gestured forward with a hand. She didn't really want to get that close to it--but thankfully, that was yet another perk of having a strange floaty 'part of your brain' friend to help. "Bufu!"
For a spit second as the gust of glacial wind hit the floating creepy, she could see something else there, like there was a body connected to the skull. It was gone as suddenly as it appeared, though, and to make matters worse it looked like it noticed the wind just about as much as if she had sneezed on it.
Frowning, she huffed in frustration. It looked like she may have to get close and personal after all. The eye like things spun around it as that strange body appeared again briefly, and it returned the Hind's icy wind with one of it's own. It stung, but thanks to the Cerynitian Hind it didn't do more than give her just a little frost burn.
Cracking her knuckles she grinned. She had only seen it briefly for a couple times, but it gave her at least a little more confidence knowing there were more places for her to hit. For now she trusted her gut, since it never let her down before. Her feet kicked off from the dust covered ground, charging towards the mostly invisible perp. Letting her fists do the talking, she jumped back and out of the way just as the thing shot off a beam of dark energy. Pointing forward again, she grinned, "Finish it up, Cery."
The Hind sharply threw her daggers, hitting the skull dead center, just before it disintegrated. Easy peasy, this round. While Anne knew they wouldn't all be like this, it was nice to have them once in a while. Especially since her last encounter pummeled her with fire and made her go home and lick her wounds for how long. No wound-licking necessary today, Anne still felt like it was about time to head home. It's never a good thing to push one's luck.
