Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

And all the stars fell from the sky
Feeling in a strange lucky mood for a change, Anne decided to continue her exploring for the day. She had never been a fan of places underground, but hey, who knew what goodies could be found here? It did use to be a mine, after all. Even if the chances of finding anything right at the entrance were slim it was more than worth the shot. Besides, sitting at home knitting wasn't going to find her any answers. Only warm sweaters, which lets be honest are pretty great in their own right too.
She already had the Hind at her side, since just because she was feeling in a good mood didn't mean she couldn't get jumped. The shadows didn't care how confident you were--they'd hurt you all the same given the opportunity. Her hands were at her side and at the ready, rearing for something to punch.

Well crap. So much for her lucky feeling. The shadow that appeared seemed very familiar--it looked almost identical to one of the first shadows she encountered. Other than the fact that this one seemed to be made from solid gold and looked much, much stronger than the other one. Inhaling sharply she focused on increasing her speed as had become habit, the Hind’s eyes glowing. She liked to be able to move, and that proved a good instinct as the mouth of the cannon glowed red. It didn’t launch anything, though, more like it was charging itself up--which didn’t calm her nerves in the slightest.
The last one wasn’t affected by her attacks, and while she knew shadows were different from one to another she didn’t want to bruise her knuckles again quite yet. Like she thought, however, while her attacks didn’t hurt, she knew the Cerynitian Hind’s did. The only thing was the little detail of how her magic wasn’t quite… up to snuff with her physical attacks. Still, if she could narrow down what was effective and what wasn’t it would make the fight that much easier.
Holding her hand out and clenching it tightly she called to the Hind. “Bufu!” As her spell finished, the Hind mirrored her movement and the wind of sharp ice assaulted the small tank. It seemed to shudder under it, the ice clinging to it’s exterior despite looking like it should be hot. Even though it looked like the ice was strong, it didn’t look like her magic would be strong enough to whittle its health down too quickly.
Just as she was about to try the Hind’s other attack, whatever it was charging up looked like it had finished, and before she could react it had exploded with arrows from it’s muzzle. She held her arms in front of her, trying to protect her center but even with the protection from pierce attacks thanks to the Hind it still hurt. Groaning in pain, she focused on trying to move a bit faster again--if that happened again, she wanted to be able to move. The tank glowed again, and she had a feeling it was trying to pull that stunt once more.
She still wasn’t sure if her attacks would be much use, but she wanted the Hind to try again. Pointing at it, the Cerynitian Hind threw it’s blades at it, and Anne watched as they bounced right off without so much as a dent. Well, that about verified her assumption that it had a tough armor. If that was the case, it would make sense that anything physical wouldn’t be much use. It looked like Bufu was their best bet, magic or not.
Before she could attempt another blast of ice, it started to try and shoot it’s arrows again. Not this time. There was more pep to her step, and weak or not she wasn’t going to do nothing. Countering the arrows seemed a much better idea. Kicking forward, boosted as she was by the two sacks of Sukukaja she reached the turret much faster than the ice would have. Just as it was about to shoot the arrows, she grabbed the muzzle with her right hand, pushing it upwards and punching sharply with her left hand.
Rather than get a nasty bruise and do nothing, it did quite the opposite. Her fist seemed to dent it harshly, and going with her gut she let go of the muzzle, the arrows shooting into the ceiling and raining them with dirt. Her right hand now free, she jabbed forward with it, watching as it gave another dent. Once more she hit hard with her left palm, and moved out of the way as it turned in pain towards her.
As she tried to move it shot a harsh blast of fire at her. It hit her right side, but luckily didn’t hit her full blast. Regardless, it hurt like a bitch. She needed to end this quickly, and call it a night. Running at it again, this time she jumped up onto the top, landing as hard as she could. As she did, she brought her right fist down hard, then her left, then right once more before jumping down off of it. As she landed, she finished it off with one last sweeping kick with her left leg, and it quickly disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
That was exhausting, but as it disintegrated she noticed the pile of goodies it left behind. She blinked in surprise before grinning, happy with her little pile of loot. Even if that was a fight that made her ready to collapse in bed, at least it was worth it.
