Name: Taniel Durante Henning
Age: Seventeen
Date of Birth: October 13th
Birthplace: Abbotsdale, South Africa
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Anything with a hole.
Face Claim: Ciel Phantomhive, Black Butler.
Appearance:
Height: 5'6
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: XVIII: The Moon
Occupation: Part-time server (though, technically, he is referred to as a waitress while on the clock) at a Maid Cafe.
Weapons and Proficiencies (Optional): Tan, while not a crack shot, carries a .38 pistol strapped to his thigh. Contains six bullets and, as he carries no extra ammo; it is used very sparingly. This Saturday Night Special deals Piercing Damage.
Personality: Tan is chaotic mess of contradictions and confusion. While he dresses as a woman, he alternates between identifying as both. A devoted actor and writer, he is prone to long bouts of fantasy that tend to bleed into his reality; it is this creative and often caustic muse that drives him to do much of what he does. When speaking to people he doesn't know, Tan employs a sweet, feminine voice to further enforce his transvestite ruse. Casually, however, he speaks plainly and with his natural voice and prefers male clothing when he's just lounging around.
His emotions are in a near constant flux, though his affection for Anasazi is perpetual. To his partner he is openly affectionate and clingy, as well as extremely sensitive. To others, he tries to be whatever he thinks they want him to be. As stated, he is an avid writer and self-styled actor; often spending his time with a notebook in hand, scrawling madly into it, reading the often macabre scenes aloud.

History: From a young age, Taniel has always been interested in becoming a renowned writer. With this lofty dream, so, too, came a wishful conflagration of desire; the desire to experience all the the world had to offer. Growing up near the sea, he gathered something of a fondness for the sound of waves and the salty scent of the coast. Taniel spent much of his time away from his parents, preferring to spend most of his time with his dear friend Anasazi; who's family had close ties to his own. The intertwined families moved to Mosiac City when Taniel was fifteen. The two of them had started falling in love in the early teen years, and had carried on their romance in this new city.
When the lockdown was initiated, Tan was highly curious about the civility of it all; how few questions were asked and how quickly people had merely accepted it as an unavoidable reality. He could see no reason that the city should be his cage and felt immensely drawn to the area outside of this containment. As such, he badgered Anasazi into coming with him, as well as an associate of theirs; to search for a way beyond the barricade and into the world beyond. Through some fortuitous coincidence of fate, the pair found what they were searching for in a series of tunnels beneath the city. The end of that tunnel was the beginning of Taniel's journey.
The beauty of it slowly sank in, as he stood just outside the tunnel, drinking in the sheer apocalyptic sweetness of it all; drowning Taniel in a rush of euphoric discovery. Without thinking, simply acting, he turned to the other, the one who had shown them the way into the tunnel; producing his pistol and firing it into the man's chest. He and Anasazi has planned for this, when the idea of a guide was first introduced; but the alacrity of his action was unexpected, even to himself. The man fell and Taniel had taken his first step into the maw of a yawning, gluttonous giant. Taniel panicked, uncertain about the fantastic nightmare that had come to life before him; trembling beneath the weight of his mounting fear, he froze, incapable of moving forward and too afraid to turn away. Tears streamed down his face and his jaw set tight, his consciousness wavered between waking and a lingering dream. Then, he laughed, long and hard; the sounds of his mirth trailing through the extensive tunnels. It was that action that brought forth the Siren, that simple pulling of the trigger; affirming who he had always been.
That moment was a beautiful one, an image forever burned into Taniel's mind. Shortly thereafter, it became something of an addiction for Tan; the vile indulgence of his whims and fancy in an unfamiliar world. He began carrying a notebook; which is now filled with several gruesome scenes written in his spare time. He has seen errant Shadows, from a distance, he has yet to actually engage one in combat. As of now, he has only taken that one journey beyond the barricade.
Since his awakening, Taniel has grown more distant from his family; completely severing ties with them. He lives, now, solely in the company of Anasazi; the only person he feels can understand him. He has taken up a part-time job at a local cafe, but spends most of his time roaming around the city. Tan fantasizes about going back outside of the city and plans to make another venture in the near future.
