Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Ringo has been through a lot of things that he didn't think he'd had to go through. Gaining supernatural powers is one but the other is being a test subject for work uniforms. His regular cloths got ruined on the way to work and his boss...generous person, decided to use Ringo to test out certain kinds of fashion and see ask Ringo to take notes on how to react it in the case that they manage to implement special days where they have different uniforms....
...suffice to say, Ringo didn't have a choice in the matter. The boy looked at the mirror after he closed his locker now that his shift was over. Dressed in a leather jacket, a belly exposing black tanktop, leather pants, two fancy belts...he was surprised that his boss is letting him walk out with these. Though he does have to write a one page response on how people react to the outfit.
Thus, it was a bit of a contest for Ringo to endure the stares and whispers he has been getting. Some giggling even included. It wasn't long until Ringo was outside of the shopping center he worked at and walking down the streets on his way home....however it seems like he wasn't the only one wearing interesting fashion today. Ringo can't help but to let out a slightly amused smile.

I was invited to a masquerade party earlier, but I was escorted out of the premises because if I had stayed any longer I ran the risk of disrupting the party by virtue of making everyone stare at me for longer than five minutes. This was a bit discouraging, because it was a VIP event, but the person who invited me (who happened to be the person also running the gig) promised compensation and would perhaps try a different event in the future to invite me to. It was still early in the night and I was rather bored because I was under the presumption I could get away with staying at a masquerade party until the wee hours of the night, which didn't happen.
I was wearing one of the gothic lolita outfits I bought the other day, and I had managed to sneak on the matching appropriate makeup. Even if my short hair may not have fit the look as well as I'd have liked, it certainly seemed to strike a positive note in some others. On the way down the street I received a couple of stares here and there but mostly chatter about the masquerade party, people thought I was actually going. In fact I was already leaving. En route, I bumped into a familiar figure.
Of course, it was Ringo. Except Ringo was wearing some sort of crazy boy-band fashion, complete with the midriff exposure. Huh? He saw me and hailed me simply asking me with 'So what's your story?'
"I am leaving the masquerade party I was invited to. The host of the party plans to provide compensation. I was being harassed by many people there, so I was escorted from the premises. I feel that at a masquerade party, you need to dress appropriately," I pulled out my masquerade masque and waved it in front of Ringo. "So how about you? Why are you wearing such a goofy boy-band outfit?"
Alisa appeared to be in what Ringo can only describe as a goth lolita set up. The black dress, the lace, the ribbons. Suffice to say though, she is looking better than Ringo was at the moment. He wasn't sure if the boy band look was for him. He should bring a spare set of cloths with him next time.

I feel that at a masquerade party, you need to dress appropriately," Alisa presented her mask for said party. . "So how about you? Why are you wearing such a goofy boy-band outfit?"
"Well, it's not because I'm the next singing sensation let me tell you that." Ringo said, his eyes looking up at the sky as he still wondered how in the world he got into this situation. "My cloths got dirty because I fell down on the way to work. Suffice to say my boss decided to test out fashion trends and how people would react to this outfit. Boss wanted to test for special uniform days." Ringo looked over at his exposed area for a moment. Well the wound he got from the old hospital was covered by the jacket a little so he shouldn't get too many questions though if the jacket moved slightly anyone would notice. "Suffice to say I'm not exactly sure how this experiment is working out."

"Hmm... Is that so? That's interesting. It's too bad that you got into an accident. Well, take care of yourself next time, you seem like the kind of guy who wouldn't be caught dead wearing that. Anyways, if your boss wanted you to try something like that out, would you even be in a position to resist? Heh. Just where exactly do you work for that kind of thing to even happen?" I quizzically began to grill Ringo a little bit, ignoring the fact that he looked over at his exposed area for a brief moment. I wasn't sure if he was trying to hide a wound or something. I had been feeling a lot better myself since I stayed at Pyxis' place, and I greatly enjoyed her company. Moving in with her was one of the best decisions I'd made here yet. "That said, try not to worry too much about it. If people are reacting to you, positive or negative, then it's additional information for your boss to work out some new marketing gig or some crap. So you're going home now? In a hurry?"

"I work as a waiter in one of the cafes in the White Lion Shopping center." Ringo smiled sadly. "My boss is considering...special uniform days." Ringo remembered when one of his co-workers walked around in animal footie pajamas during break time. That was a weird time.
"That said, try not to worry too much about it. If people are reacting to you, positive or negative, then it's additional information for your boss to work out some new marketing gig or some crap." That is a positive way of looking at things. "So you're going home now? In a hurry?"
"I am heading home though I'm not necessarily in a hurry." Ringo looked over at Alisa. "What about you? Going to enjoy the evening somewhere else?" Ringo started to remember those post-full moon battle meals now...he was actually now worried because he remembered Alisa being there for that one time he tried alcohol.

Ringo explained that he worked as a waiter in one of the cafes nearby. Suddenly, I recalled that Amane worked at a cafe too and always was in a maid outfit from what I remember. Though it was interesting that Ringo's boss was considering 'special uniform days.' For what purpose? I suppose that it's possible that he thinks that dressing up his staff in exotic costumes could attract niche audiences, or something. I don't know, this just seemed like common sense to me. Ringo did mention he was going home after all but that he was not in a hurry. He then asked me if I was going to enjoy the rest of the evening somewhere else.
"Huh? Yeah, sure, I might go enjoy the evening somewhere else, or I might go back home," I remembered that I had moved in with Pyxis, so she was gonna see me come home in gothic lolita. Oh boy. "Why, you wanna hang out somewhere? I don't mind."

"Huh? Yeah, sure, I might go enjoy the evening somewhere else, or I might go back home, Same as himself huh? "Why, you wanna hang out somewhere? I don't mind." Welp, hanging out with a fellow persona user doesn't sound too bad. Come to think of it, he hasn't done much of that in awhile. He is usually going around the stratums...Ringo's thoughts went to Layla for a moment.
"Sure." None the less, Ringo managed himself a smile. "Any place in particular?" Ringo had no preference of hang out. Though the drunk incident is making him cautious of bars. Then again bars do hand out non-alcoholic drinks so there was that.

Truth to be told, I didn't really eat much at that party as I left early. Unfortunately I ended up feeling my stomach rumble. I hoped Ringo didn't hear it, that's not very ladylike. Anyway, I looked up at the sky for a moment and shrugged. "Eh, I'm kinda hungry. Wanna go get something to eat? I got things to ask you about stuff that's been happening recently. I didn't really get to catch up with a lot of the folks. I spent a good chunk of my time in bed-rest and generally not exerting much effort until I got better a couple of days ago. I don't have any idea of where I want to eat though, so if you got some place in mind, do just let me know." I kept rubbing my stomach. Oh god. It was getting worse.

"Eh, I'm kinda hungry. Wanna go get something to eat?" Alisa asked. Ringo nodded. He might as well get some dinner in him before he goes home. "I got things to ask you about stuff that's been happening recently. I didn't really get to catch up with a lot of the folks." Come to think of it there was a couple of people he hadn't seen himself..."I spent a good chunk of my time in bed-rest and generally not exerting much effort until I got better a couple of days ago." Ringo arched an eyebrow at that. "I don't have any idea of where I want to eat though, so if you got some place in mind, do just let me know." Ringo scratched the back of his head for a moment.
"Well...there is a ricebowl place." Ringo suggested. "It's really typical according to some people but I kinda like it." He pointed over to it. "Allow this to be my treat." Ringo said with a smile. He went over to the door and ready to open the door if Alisa was accepting of his proposal.

Ringo said there was a ricebowl place he liked to go to, despite seeming protests from some people that it was "typical." Well, to be fair, it doesn't get any more typically oriental or Eastern than a 'ricebowl place,' so I can see where they were coming from. Regardless, it looked like we were already very near by since he looked to grab a door nearby and looked ready to open it once I stated my acceptance of the offer. "Well, I didn't figure it was so close to us. Well, sure, I'll bite. I'm really starving right now anyways, so I can't complain." I nodded and followed Ringo over to the establishment, waiting for him to open the door and lead me in. He mentioned it as it being his 'treat.' I was wondering about that, but I wasn't going to think anything of it. I'm sure he had lots of things on his mind.

"Well, I didn't figure it was so close to us. Well, sure, I'll bite. I'm really starving right now anyways, so I can't complain." Ringo opened the door for Alisa as the two got in and got seated. Ah, a nice simple place. Hopefully he this isn't going to wind up like treating Alouette. He still remembered the nightmare that was treating her as she ate through a lot.
"I'll just have a pork bowl with some picked vegetables. Just water for the beverage." Ringo then looked over at Alisa. "So...you said that you needed to catch up with some people. who might they be?" Ringo was mentally praying that Alisa and Layla hasn't spoken to each other at some point. He felt that he can't talk about Layla at all without feeling the least bit awkward.

I stepped in and got seated right next to Ringo; and lo and behold, it really was a typical beef bowl place. It wasn't really anything to write home about, but it was definitely nice in that quaint sort of way. It reminded me of eating ready-made bento dinners at home. In my old apartment, that is. I fiddled around with my fingers and thought about what I was going to order. "Mmh... I guess I'll just have the gyudon, please? ...Beverage? Uh... Tomato juice, you got that? Yeah... Thanks." I nodded off in a bit of a hungry stupor as I made my order, and then Ringo turned to face me, asking me who I needed to catch up with. "I am worried about Layla. I haven't spoken to her in months, though I have seen her. There are some others too, but I am less worried about them. Why do you ask?"

"Mmh... I guess I'll just have the gyudon, please? ...Beverage? Uh... Tomato juice, you got that? Yeah... Thanks." Tomato juice? Well Ringo can't exactly be one to commentate on what people usually drink. He wasn't exactly one for Tomato juice. At least it wasn't mushroom..."I am worried about Layla. I haven't spoken to her in months, though I have seen her. There are some others too, but I am less worried about them. Why do you ask?" Ah shi...
"No particular reason..." Ringo's eyes wandered over in the direction the waiter walked in, with some vain hope that the person will just magically come out with the food. However, conversation will happen so..."So...how do you know Layla? I know her because she was there when I first awakened to Tokoyo."

"I met Layla a few months ago because I wanted to see if I could work together with her to gather more information, but I haven't been able to interface with her in just the same amount of time. I was getting increasingly worried that I missed something, or even worse, she's hiding something." I shrugged and fidgeted, rapping my fingers on the table. Ringo mentioned he met her first when his persona awakened. Oh, that's right. He used to be a civilian too, just like me. "Does she mean something to you? I'm sorry if it reminded you of something." Actually, I believe this would give me more incentive to look for her, if there are people who care about her. I mean, I'm not saying I don't care about her, after all, I've been worried, but I never did acutally get out to do something about it...

I was getting increasingly worried that I missed something, or even worse, she's hiding something." Ringo's eyes widened, something he could see reflected faintly on the bottle of soy sauce. In panic, he quickly popped the cap off and made a quick chug of the soy sauce...both a good and bad idea but he wasn't sure if he fast enough to hide his reaction. "Does she mean something to you? I'm sorry if it reminded you of something." Ringo nearly chocked on the air for a moment. He raised his hand to let Alisa know he was okay (or so he thinks) and let out a few coughs as he looked away from the table then back at Alisa.
"I-it's alright...you didn't remind me of anything." Ringo took a large deep breathe. He calmed himself down. He looked at the soy sauce bottle to see that he looks stressed. "If by mean something to me in a certain manner, then no. I consider her a friend." Ringo tried to keep what happened with Layla at the abandoned hospital buried in his mind. It has no place here. "Layla is doing fine at the moment." What more can he say?
