Sakuya stayed focused on keeping Jaelyn alive, ignoring anything else; so she could not notice too much of the battling that was going on between Jaelyn and her shadow. Sakuya could feel the determination within Jaelyn, though, her realization that in a way, she had matured and become a better person in trying to deal with her trials and tribulations that came along being with Sakuya. The seductress weakly smiled, continuing to shoot her healing at Jaelyn. Eventually, with a spurt of strength, Jaelyn was thrown to the ground, causing another massive eruption to fall on her. Except this time, it did nothing.
Jaelyn stood up and it was then Sakuya realized that Jaelyn had finally woken up. The Shadow, noticeably enraged, began attacking in a frenzy. The whip was lashed around with reckless abandon, and Sakuya growled as she found herself caught in the attacks. But she stood her ground. She was able to take far more punishment that the human body. Sakuya hissed and was kneeling now, the energy only fizzling out from her hands. But it soon appeared that the shadow tried to attack back. She was charging, trying to match up to Jaelyn's newfound power.
With a fearsome explosion, everything seemed to disintegrate. Sakuya braced herself and felt her vision get obscured by the black ooze that was dripping from every fiber of her being. As well as the brilliant light that followed. By the time it dissipated, everyone was still standing. And Jaelyn, more importantly, let rip a catastrophic flame spell of her own. Sakuya, looking at her arms, on the verge of being ripped off, simply watched as the fearsome flames and the deadly star fell on the Shadow.
Disintegrated to ash.
When the dust had settled so to speak, Sakuya saw Jaelyn collapse. The latter had expended more energy than she could handle, and seemed to pass out. Sakuya coughed and hissed in pain as she concentrated. A dark light glowed around Sakuya as she tried to reform parts of her body. Most importantly, her arms. Once she patched herself up, she walked slowly over to Jaelyn. Coughing, she lifted up the fallen Jaelyn, carrying her in her arms.
Sakuya's body was broken, to be sure. But she would force herself to be there with Jaelyn. She loved her. She would do anything for her. Even if it was the most fucking painful thing she had ever experienced. The shadow sighed with relief. Her body had a huge open gash in it that looked terrifying. Her near-naked form was marred with cuts and bruises and black blood stains.
She turned to the direction of her villa.
Sakuya, with Jaelyn carried in her arms like a princess, began to walk back home.
