Name: Lewis Wagner
Age: 22
Date of Birth: September 26
Birthplace: Seattle
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Araragi from Bakemonogatari
Appearance:
Height: 5'11''
Distinguishing Features: N/A (well, other than that one strand of hair that always sticks up.)
Class: Civilian
Arcana: The Emperor
Occupation: Student
Weapons and Proficiencies (Optional): He's pretty handy with sabers (slash) due to his fencing experience. His father also taught him how to use a handgun and he was a fine shot, but it's not like he's gonna get his hands on a pistol anytime soon (but if he did, it would be piercing damage).
Personality: Outgoing and sociable and always self-assured. Dealing with him can get pretty frustrating, despite his friendly nature; he's the kind of person who can be really smart and really dumb due to his lack of foresight and sometimes simple common sense - but he's smart about a lot, and has a keen analytical eye. He can be diplomatic but is typically cocky and hotheaded, which can lead him to be aggressive and (subsequently) petty and vindictive. Thus, he's definitely one to hold grudges and more often than not he'll bite off more than he can chew. There are many times where his immature nature shows through. Sometimes Lewis enjoys being a smartass and riling people up. Despite all this, though, it may be said that he's unquestionably loyal to his friends.
It could be said that his greatest flaws are his stubbornness and his failure to grow as a person - he often resists change and does exclusively what he wishes. Well, that and his self-inflated image. He can have a difficult time listening to other people because he's convinced he knows best. He's stubborn to a fault and resists change. However, he's still pretty sharp, and if he can be made to set his mind to something he can make some progress right away.
Obviously, he doesn't have the best handle on his temper. He can be quite judgemental, especially when angry. It depends on his state of mind whether he finds this shameful or justified. His fears are another concern, one which he does have a degree of control over; while he is probably more prone to panic than others, he would find the prospect of, say, abandoning his friends entirely unthinkable. His greatest fear may be that one day he would break and abandon his friends.

History: Lewis would probably say he used up most of his luck whenever he was born to a fairly well-off couple of German descent in Seattle. He had a childhood that was for the most part unremarkable. As a teenager, his parents remained obsessive over his academic success while he grew more rebellious, preferring to focus on the here-and-now. He was well-liked, athletic to a degree (he enjoyed fencing, running, and swimming), friendly, and had an obvious talent for writing and an interest in history. His parents would have liked that he entered a field with a more hard-set career path, using skills like mathematics; he had the sharp, analytical mind for it, but despised the notion of such a dull life and butted heads with them constantly. His laid-back nature caused him to lay his school responsibilities aside until the very last moment for the most part until he was nearly done with high school, only then picking up the reins of responsibility.
College saw him move further east into the United States, but the West Coast would always be home, no matter how rainy. There he had the same conflicts as he slipped back into his adolescent shortcomings; lazy to a fault, except when it suited him. He usually rushed to get things done at the last second. College had gone pretty wildly; there were times where he thought he'd drop out or get into too much trouble to stay, but he made it and with a pretty good GPA to boot. As a graduation present, he was sent on a trip to Japan by his parents. He didn't really know the language save for a few words he'd picked up at home, but you didn't really need to know it in order to get around, right? He had a good time, up until the day he left. A stopover in Taipei to switch planes and then he'd be on his way home. Engine trouble shortly after takeoff forced a reroute to Mosaic City; as they were sitting on the tarmac waiting for an update, the passengers found out one wasn't going to come anytime soon: the city was now under quarantine. With his luggage he walked cautiously out of the airport into a city he knew nothing about where they spoke a language he knew nothing of, but would regardless be his home for the forseeable future. The hotel by the airport was more than willing to take his money - but how long would that last? It wasn't like he brought a fortune with him on this trip, and then he spent most of it in Japan anyway... and when the money runs out, what's he gonna do?
