Dave coughed a little bit. The sound echoed through the empty halls of the executive building. Ever since he had fought the strong shadow alongside Takeda and Seiji, he had been making further expeditions into the building. The upper floors had stronger shadows than what he was used to fighting, but he felt he was capable of taking them on now that he had defeated the strong shadow. He wandered into a private office and looked around.
Papers were strewn about the room in a haphazard fashion. Dave knelt down and looked through the papers. They were mainly about the usual business things: shipping orders, budgets, memos on out of order appliances. He found nothing of interest and continued to examine the office. Opening drawers, he found that the pens had spilled their ink over a stack of files, rendering them illegible. He shut the drawers and began looking through file cabinets, but found nothing of importance in there either. He sighed and headed to leave the room before something caught his eye behind the open door.
He went over and moved the door aside. There was a red stain on the wall. streaks of red had begun to fall to the floor. The stain itself was old, but Dave didn't need an analyst to tell him that it was blood. It was likely the office was such a mess because of a scuffle that had taken place. One fighter had severely injured another. Dave wondered if the shadows had been involved in whatever had happened in this room. There was nothing he could divine form the scene, so he left the room and continued to explore.
