Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

There was so much shit that Desmond didn't want to tote around that had been forced in him when he teleported into the city. Bum weapon parts, ammunition for guns he didn't use, and all sorts of other knick-knacks weighed down his messenger bag as he made his way to a place called 'the gap'. Navigating shadow infested areas was almost second nature to him and seeing a sort of 'safe zone' for those in the know about what was happening was something he expected. Looking outside, he saw a mission board that was blank for the moment and smirked. Merlin hadn't been improved in a long while and sharpening his Persona up with some wet work would do it good.
Knocking on the door of the safehouse, he entered and went about setting his goods on the table like so many others before him had done. "Pleasure to meet you, sister. The name's Desmond Kurtz and there's a whole bundle of things I wanna ask you. 'Course, it'd make my job too easy if you mysterious types answered questions..." When the deal was done, he walked out of her 'office' with bundles of cash and a spring in his step that could only be found perching onto someone that had just got their hands on a whole lotta moolah.

That lady sure was weird. She'd tried to pay Desmond with some weird thing she called 'the stuff of nightmares'. He'd demanded something more tangible and got some weird power inside himself. Resolve? Too corny, he'd research it later. For now, he was ready to off-load some more junk to her so he could get some more of the stuff and see about getting Merlin some shiny new powers. His growth had been stunted for a while due to being out of the field, but he'd be genuinely surprised if anyone, own peers included, surpassed his experience.
"Hello again. I must say that stuff of nightmares line came off as you trying too hard, but as long as your pay's good, you can say it again." Dumping his goods on the table, he got down to business.
