Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Another day, another training trip. Akira had continued to use his previously successful attire on his runs to the terminal. Though the jacket began to develop a burnt odor, it was still pretty much in as good a shape as it could be, ragged as it was. All in all, he was pretty well-set, he thought. Not only were his clothes in good enough shape, but Imp had learned a healing move. This gave him much more in the way of solo capabilities. While it didn't mean he could just walk through the full lockdown zone like he owned the place, it did mean that he had a bit more freedom than before.
Light steps, hugging the walls, and a careful gaze kept the boy going on. So far, no encounters. Which wasn't a bad thing, by any means. He had to wonder, though, about the Shadows he and his unseen and unknown comrades fought. Did they multiply? Or were they facing a finite amount that would slowly be exterminated? If they did multiply, then how? What precautions could be taken to mitigate this breeding? There were a number of questions he had, and a number of them, in this case, needed answers if he was to get any further in his search for freedom.
He wasn't a bird to be caged, even though the occasional fantasy of such a situation was slightly appealing. When he stretched his wings, he would claim the skies. Not just for himself, but for his family, the students at school, and everyone else, as well. And, of course, for the internet. Which was for porn.

See, up to the present, Akira had had issues with crowd control. He was always mobbed by crowds of unruly dudes, chipper girls, and lecherous Shadows. Today? Today was greeted by a single gentlemanly thing with an apparent inclination for magic, if one were to go by appearances. It looked almost like a stereotyped wizard from European fantasy. Mixed with a jester, perhaps? Either way, if it was anything like it appeared, it probably had magical prowess. If it had magical capabilities, then elements were likely also something it resisted. Perhaps an all-out bumrush would be the best policy on this one?
It was nice that this Shadow was more humanoid-shaped. It gave him room to fight more. . . normally, if he had to phrase it a certain way. He slid in weaving from a center position to the right, then feinting to the left. When the Shadow turned its gaze to look upon the crossdresser, it met with a rapidly approaching elbow. His arm and waist had moved in junction during that first strike. Then, turning his waist and swinging his arm right back around, he effect smashed both of the wizard's cheeks in one go. It was a neat little trick he picked up from a documentary one time. In response, the wizard slung an arm at him. Normally, that wasn't too big of an issue, but it seemed to be sharp- it was swinging what was the equivalent of a blade arm at him. He took it, using his arms to guard, but it cut into the sleeves of the jacket, as well as lightly into his arms. He could heal himself, no big deal. But that really made him want to put some distance between himself and the mage.
Hopping back and reaching inside his jacket, he tugged out the gun and pulled the trigger once it was against his temple. Imp appeared, already readying himself. It was one nice thing about having a connection. He uttered the command, and Imp shot forward, its fingers fully extended and pressed together, treating the appendage like a short lance. Thunk! went bony spear as it thrust through the wizard, before a vicious Schlish! echoed upon the hand being retracted. The wizard was still in the game, but that attack definitely dealt some good damage. All was fair in love and war, and there was no love there. Raising its arms, the wizard shot off a high-speed gust of air that slammed into the boy. While it didn't shred anything, the wind did blow him off of his feet and onto his rear. Again, a shameful position to be found in, had there been another human around.
”Again with Skewer! Run it through!” The gnarly midget charged in a second time, the spear-like hand going straight for the head. A mixture of sounds- between a splash and a crunch- reached the boy's ears as Imp's hand lanced through the Shadow's head. Eventually, gravity- assuming that that did truly have an effect on his Persona- pulled the short entity down, freeing its arm. The wizard remained motionless for a few moments before it slowly slumped backwards, finally gurgling as it began to dissolve.

And that, as it seemed, was that. Nothing stirred around them. Good chance to test out some healing, in depth, Akira figured. Looking over to the cloaked midget that just happened to be his Persona, the crossdresser smiled before holding up his arms. They stung when he twisted them in just the right manner. No doubt, the skin was trying to split further, widening the cuts. Still, a test was needed, and a test he would have. It was the best way to verify results, after all. All proper science concluded with successful tests.
”Dia.” He ordered simply. A flash of greenish light embraced him. While there were still stains of red on his sleeves, and even over the flesh itself, the wounds, he verified, were closed. Good. That really would help tremendously. Nodding, he smiled. ”Lets carry on, then.” He noted as he proceeded further into the darkness, Imp still at his side.
