Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Chidori's sleep was only a little restless to begin with, and before long, she was well & truly under, comfortably nestled against Alisa, having unconsciously crawled closer in her sleep; the warmth was very comfortable after all. Nevertheless, in such a deep sleep she was much calmer, and thankfully free of the flashbacks - there were no nightmares to speak of. If she were aware of it, the mute would have found it strange, since normally that would quite definitely cause nightmares. Perhaps resting beside someone else changed something fundamental to that, then?
Well, whatever the reason, Chidori slept, and slept rather well after having exhausted herself physically & mentally. When she did eventually return to the land of the conscious, her chocolate brown eyes fluttered open, and for a very brief moment, she panicked, as she couldn't see the usual surroundings she awoke to in her bedroom. That was when she remembered that she hadn't gone home the night before, and the mute suddenly looked for Alisa, still a little groggy from waking.

I yawned as my eyes slowly opened. I rubbed them and then placed my head back on my forearms; I used them as a makeshift pillow since I was way too tired to watch over Chidori the whole night. My eyes were peeled towards my bedroom, where I let Chidori sleep for the last night. After a while, I heard footsteps and saw that the mute had woken up. She didn't seem too shaken or too weirded out, so I could only assume the only questionable thing was that she had slept in a bed that was not her own. I yawned and called out to her as she stepped out of the bedroom; she'd see me having slept at my low table at least. "Good morning, Chidori. Did you sleep well? Sorry, I don't have too much food around right now," I lamented, pointing at a box in the room that contained mostly flavoured bread. "I was thinking about checking out the abandoned car warehouse on the outer circle later today, but I'm more worried about you right now, so I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do for you."

She hadn't been able to locate Alisa from where she'd been laying down, so the mute gingerly slid off the bed, brushing back her hair with her hand to smooth it a little (since she did have a little bed-head from sleeping so deeply) before she ventured cautiously out of the bedroom. Blinking as she heard a voice suddenly, the mute swung around to see her hostess, sleeping at her low table. Feeling a sudden pang of guilt, she nodded meekly at the question of sleep, and shaking her head with a tiny smile about the food - she wasn't really that hungry. Still, for the sake of energy, she took a small piece of the flavoured bread, nibbling delicately on it as she came to sit down near Alisa.
At first, the mention of going into the outer circle made her tense up, as her mind started flashing back. Fortunately, Chidori managed to reign it in, killing that thought process with some effort as she pondered what to do; she didn't really want to leave the other woman's side - not that she really noticed her unnatural clinginess to her friend - but didn't want to keep her from doing what she wanted, or needed, to do. 'Maybe...well, maybe I could go with you? I...don't really want to be by myself at the moment...' Fidgeting again, the mute looked down at her lap for a few moments before she brought her head up to mouth something else.
'I can always stay a bit further back, maybe just heal from the sidelines...?'

She took a piece of my bread; honestly, I couldn't finish what I got on my own, so I'm glad she took some. Anyway, it seemed that despite my worries Chidori seemed to want to join me. Of course, I didn't want to leave her either, but I really also wanted to see what was up at the factory; I had heard some strange shit about that place, maybe I could find some more valuable information there. I gave Chidori a very soft pat on the shoulder. "...Alright, I understand. We'll be going later in the afternoon. You can stay a bit back of you want, but don't stay too far away from me, either. I want to make sure I can still properly protect you too. Somehow," I nodded. I had to make sure not to pull out my knife during the next battle, if there ever was one, lest I risk making her go nuts again.
"For now, we can just take it easy or get ready for the outing later." I gave Chidori a hug again.
