Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.

Ringo adjusted his black coat sleeves over his kotes as he opened and closed his fists to see if they're a good fit. He checked his belt and his new chokuto was in pristine condition. He was ready to head over to the West Mosaic ruins. Since he has been involved in all of this he was discovering all sorts of things. Including a station run by a strange blonde haired woman. However, with the mission boards he could at least help out and try to figure out the chaos that is going on here. Ringo himself recently decided to pick up a simple job. Find someone's lost cat...
...which was easier said than done. The fog that permeates this area and the numerous abandoned buildings did not make this task easy. Ringo carefully drew his sword to look around. He can't exactly call out to the cat for various reasons. He'd risk startling the cat or worse, shadows. Not to mention he wasn't exactly sure how he is going to get the cat out of here. Ringo had a cat back in Japan but that was a while ago plus its not like he could speak a cat language. He has to bet on luck this time around.

No sign of a cat anywhere!
You look around the area in which you were suggested, hoping to find some sort of lead. Rather than a lead, or anything positive, you're met with a group of shadows that notice you right away. Things are looking good so far.

As Ringo's vision scanned the area, he turned to see three blobs of dark slime crawl over towards them. Each one of them with a unique mask on their face. Ringo began to draw his sword. It was at this point that they already saw him so it would be too late for Ringo to hide or escape somewhere to gain a tactical advantage. This will be his first time fighitng multiple shadows. He is somewhat confident he can take on normal shadows in a one on one fight but three? Well he is about to find out if all the investments he paid into his current equipment are going to pay off.
Two of the mayas started some sort of gargling chanting as the third one began to crawl forward. Ringo's plan was simple. Slice the face of the first one and then go after the other Mayas. The first one soon shot its arms out as if to skewer him. He quickly raised his left arm and dodged to his right. The skewer managed to make a big scratch on his left kote but it didn't slash the arm underneath. He quickly slashed down on the shadows face heard enough to cause it pain. He jumped back.
Ringo's eyes widened to be hit by a ray of light from one of the shadows. He know knew what was going on. The first shadow is offense while the other two just cast spells from behind...at least until the final shadow made its move. It lunged out and grabbed Ringo. He began to feel drained to say the least. Ringo quickly stabbed the shadow in the face to make it let go of him. Ringo quickly lunged forward and slashed the shadow in the face again. The shadow dissipated only to narrowly dodge a skewer from the shadow from earlier. Ringo quickly slashed the shadow out of the way only to get hit by another hama spell.
He collapsed on to the ground. The shadow started to cast another hama spell. It wasn’t going to bother checking if Ringo is dead. He slowly got up, realizing that he is dead if he allows it to hit him again. He pushed his body to lunge himself to stab the shadow in the face…he let out a sigh of relief as it started to dissolve. He was just in time to stop it. Ringo collapsed on his knees and took a deep breathe.
Ringo did another quick scan of the area as he slowly got up. He might want to get away from battles for a bit. He isn’t going to last another fight at this rate. Ringo started to slowly move, though he did not place his sword away. He has to continue searching for that cat…absurdly dangerous as continuing this journey is going to be.

After clearing out those shadows, you're once again free to look for that cat. Not too far off, you hear the hissing of a small cat. And if you look in that very direction, you notice a group of shadows surrounding it. Undoubtedly, this is the cat you're looking for. But you better take care of those shadows before they get to that cat!

Ringo started to walk. Now that he has gotten some air he feels a bit better. He started to hear the hissing of a cat. Finally! Some good news. He started to run in the direction of the sound...only to find more shadows. Ringo can't help but to sigh a little at the sight of this considering the amount of punishment he took last time. He wasn't in perfect condition at all...but he has to rescue that cat. He'd rather not think about what the shadows are going to do it to it if he left them be.
He began his charge. This time one of them charged forward to him while the other two stayed a bit far back. He could assume the two in the back are spell casters. The maya closest to him swung its arm, Ringo managed to get out of the way of the cleave however he looked over to see a bolt of lighting and a sphere of fire heading towards him. He managed to back away from those, only feeling the heat of the attacks. The shadow once more tried to cleave Ringo in half but he managed to swing his sword just in time to slice off its arm. Ringo swung down and split the shadows head and started to make a dash for the back shadows.
Ringo started to head after the electricity spewing one since electricity is slightly more dangerous than fire. True, fire can leave lasting burns but electricity is near fatal if it directly hits a human body. He dove his sword into the mask of the shadow before nearly effortlessly slicing it apart. However, Ringo felt the force of the explosion from an agi spell from the remaining shadow. Ringo was lucky it wasn't a direct hit. He wasn't exactly in the mood to explain the burn marks to his class mates.
He quickly got himself together and then sliced the shadow's face in half. He watched as it dissipated and took a deep breathe. It seemed he was getting slightly faster and taking them down. Ringo collapsed on his behind and let out a large breathe. It wasn't exactly easy on him. His entire body hurts. He looked over in the direction of the cat and started to place his sword away. Time to get what he came here for.
