Name: Rikki (Ritsuki) Hisako
Age: 19
Date of Birth: March 6th
Birthplace: Japan (Gunma Prefecture)
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Minato Arisato - Persona 3 The Golden
Appearance:
Height: 5'7"
Distinguishing Features: Has deep blue eyes. Wears a pair of blue-tinted sunglasses most of the time. Under his black jacket, which he leaves partially unbuttoned is a blue dress shirt. He usually carries his guitar case on his back. On the left side of his chest is a medium sized scar.
Class: Veteran Persona-user
Arcana: Star
Occupation: Wandering Guitarist
Weapons and Proficiencies (Optional): Guitars (Strike Damage)
Personality: Rikki is an extremely lively person. Though he can be very charismatic at the right time, he is usually quick to make a joke. He likes to keep the atmosphere happy and lighthearted, even when it's near impossible. Always with a smile, he shows no sadness or fear even when he's in the worst of situations. He might just be trying to act cool, but he wants nothing more than for everyone to be happy. He is extremely energetic and has a habit of spreading it to other people. He uses his music as a form of self expression and a method to bring joy to others. He is quite serious about his music, and will spend large amounts of time simply writing it.
He is a self taught musician, taking great pride in that fact. Both his vocal and guitar technique were practiced over a long period of trial and error as well as a few tips from other people. He has a trained musical ear and can recognize different tones and chords just by hearing them. This is especially helpful in determining whether or not someone is off key, but also simply beneficial when just sitting back and enjoying music. His guitar skills are unreal for someone who has been playing for only a few years thanks to his insane dedication. His vocal skills, while not as godly as his guitar ones, are reminiscent of a true professional. Due to a long period of practice he has a considerably larger vocal range than most people. If need be, he can even sing some vocal parts meant for female voices with a bit of practice.
Rikki is extremely easygoing and very sociable. It is very hard to get him to not like someone. He wants everyone to be his friends and will not stop until he has made them his own. His self proclaimed purpose is to simply live life.
He has a tendency to get lost very easily due to his terrible sense of direction. He may wander around in circles before he will realize what is going on and may take even longer to figure out how to go the right way. Just like his inability to navigate, he can very easily fail to notice people. This can be quite bothersome when people need to get his attention; or ever worse, when he's about to be attacked.
Likes: Everybody, writing music, playing music, being loud, being outside, trying new things, making friends, challenges
Dislikes: Wasting time, work, sleeping, being a nuisance, getting lost
History: Rikki was born in a small village in the Gunma prefecture of Japan; about two minutes before his twin sister. The environment he grew up in was very relaxing and carefree compared to most places, given its rural nature. Back when Rikki was much younger, he was nothing like the kid he is today. Instead of being an extraordinarily nice and outgoing person, he was very rude and was lazy. He had no motives and would much rather spend his time in his room sleeping all day. School meant nothing to him as he would frequently skip it just so he wouldn't have to bother with anything else. Everyone in the town thought of him as a complete punk, and they were right. Of course, he was completely oblivious to this and went about everything his own way.
His parents always tried to push him to do something. They were fine if he was lazy, did bad in school and slept all day, but they wanted him to have some sort of outlet in life. His twin sister was the person who tried the hardest in making him live better. She was quite the opposite of her brother. She always excelled in school, took up piano, and was loved by all of the townspeople. Though her dream in life, was to make people happy using her music. She didn't know how she would do it, but she figured that when she got older she would know. The only person she would tell her dreams to was her brother, who always blew her off like nothing. She cared about her brother more than anyone else, yet she could never get close to him.
One day, their entire family was heading back from a vacation they took in the mountains. The road they were taking was right along a large mountain. As they were heading home, Rikki heard a loud sound coming towards them. It was an avalanche. The boy had no time to react and as a result, their entire family was hit by it. Miraculously, Rikki survived. Though, nobody in his family were quite as lucky. He had managed to escape with some bruises and a large gash across his side that formed a scar. When he heard the news of his family, he was completely mortified.
At the funeral, he was in complete shambles. In front of him, were the closed caskets of his entire family. All around him, were people he knew that talked about him behind his back. He heard every word they said. They said things like, "Why did it have to be her?" "Why couldn't they have just taken him instead?" "He probably doesn't even care." and disregarded his existence entirely. His aunt and uncle, who Rikki had not met him before today had said nothing. That funeral was the longest wait of his life.
He soon found out that his aunt and uncle had not just come for the funeral, but for him. They had never met before, but they had heard just as much as Rikki had during the funeral. Though, the boy they met was nothing like the one that was talked of. He was broken, yet caring. It was after his family died that something inside the boy changed. His aunt and uncle's new duty was to take care of Rikki, and bring him up to be stronger. They took him away from his hometown where there would undoubtedly be bad memories and headed for Saitama. It wasn't too long until Rikki began to actually talk, and function on his own. Through many months of thinking, Rikki finally decided that he would live life for his sister.
Rather than learning piano, he found an old guitar his father had and began to teach himself. Every day he would practice a little bit, and eventually got pretty good. Instead of sleeping all day, he went outside and began to meet people. As for school. . . he still blew it off a lot. Though his reasoning was much different. He believed that life was too short for him to worry about knowing how to live, rather than just living. Pretty soon he organized a band, with himself on guitar and vocals. They never really did anything with the band, but it was still fun and gave him quite a bit of confidence in himself.
Five years after the death of his family, Rikki packed up his bags to return to his hometown. He had no family left there, but he still held many memories from that place. Most of all, he wanted to meet the villagers that all saw him as nothing more than a punk back then and show them how much he had changed. Not to prove to them that he was different, but to prove to himself that he really had changed since then. Thanking his aunt and uncle, the boy took the journey there on his own.
When he returned to the village, it was no longer the comforting, carefree place that he remembered. It was dreary, and sad. There were no sunny days, nor were there happy people. There was fog, people who had seemed to give up on living happy lives, and just a really odd feeling in the air. Taking this mystery upon himself, the boy decided to find out what was going on in his hometown. This of course, led to his discovery of "Shadows" and the release of his persona, Archangel. The incident in the village was small in scale, but Rikki was just one kid halfway out of high school. Thinking back to what he learned while living with his aunt and uncle, Rikki knew that he just had to persevere.
This perseverance led to the answers regarding the reasons behind his village being overtaken by shadows, and how to fix it. After Rikki had left the village originally, the large gap left behind by his family following their death resulted in a large amount of negativity and depression, allowing for shadows to begin influencing their subconscious. Thus, the village eventually fell into its pitiable state. As for a way to save them, the boy was completely stumped. He could keep defeating shadows all he wanted but they would only return. He needed to bring up the mood of the villagers some way, and he eventually realized how to do it.
Setting up a large stage with several amplifiers, the boy hooked up his guitar and began to play a song for all of the villagers. Gaining the attention of the entire village, he eventually had a large crowd of people watching him play. Slowly but surely, the negative energy once active in the village soon faded away. At the end of his performance, the boy also awoke to his new persona, Throne. When the incident was all done and over with, the boy was finally welcomed by the village with open arms. He had fulfilled his duty. Now, rather than going back to his aunt and uncles or staying in his hometown, the boy decided to do something else. He called to tell his aunt and uncle that he wouldn't be returning and set off on a journey.
The boy's journey led him to many different places. He met all sorts of people, learned a lot of different cultures and a bit of their languages, and even picked up some neat skill along the way; all while being unaware of what direction he was going in. Funnily enough, the boy happened to reach Mosaic City just in time for the events of the lockdown. He knew immediately what was going on now, having already dealt with shadows in the past. Setting his sights beyond the city limits, the boy prepared himself for a long war.
