Though he'd never admit to it, Takeda had to try his hardest from cracking a grin when 'Ran' spoke back to him...well, if he wanted to talk shit about someone in Japanese, he knew who to stay away from...or talk to, either or. Not long after that, the obligatory bit kicked in. "You too." His response to Amane was short and sweet. Not due to any sort of shit wherein he didn't like meeting new people, it was just that there wasn't much to say. Lifting up his glass again, he felt the comforting smell of the booze enter his nostrils as he took a deep swig of the sweet nectar of the gods, the booze going down smooth...didn't seem to be that way for Ran though. Takeda wasn't an expert or anything, but that much absinthe should've been knocking a kid like her right off of her feet. Kid must've been a natural. Shrugging off the thought of it, he began to speak up, at least to the people at the table. "Don't quote me on this, but the fuckers also never seem to pop up more than one at a time. Could change. May not. Supports the whole idea that the strong ones make it in. My brother and I did some side-work, found out they were tunneling through the catacombs after the big one came through. Could be unrelated, could be the big ones are just being sent in to test gaps or some shit."
It went without saying that he probably expected others to just kind of shrug it off, but the whole idea of what went on the catacombs was still in his head. Seiji and him had seen firsthand that the shadows were breaching into the city via the underground. Of course, the situation could've been unrelated...didn't seem to happen at the school, at least, but the fact that the shadows were able to make those catacombs into their home, inside the city no less, that was unnerving. "But yeah, full moons are gonna be a bitch." Never one to make his opinions too public, Takeda grew quiet after that, pulling a pack of cigarettes out from his jacket pocket before placing them on the table. Pulling one of the cancer sticks from the pack, a lighter soon following suit in the other, he then took a bit of a breath before looking around, speaking out in a low, calm voice. "You guys mind?" For some reason, most of the bars in the city didn't have any sort of anti-smoking regulations implemented, something that Takeda enjoyed immensely during his frequent pub romps, but that didn't necessarily mean that the people at his table would love to take in lungfuls of smoke. Seemed prudent, being nice to them, necessity called for it after all...these folks were trying to avert the impending shadow apocalyptic bullshit, so hell, why not play nice?
After a while, his attention drifted over towards Vice, had to break the silence, the rattling of the glasses, the chatter of the patrons...hell, something had to break it up. "Nice of you to join Hogwarts and all, Harry, when'd you grab yours up?" All of it was said calmly, between him holding the cigarette in one hand, taking a few quiet drinks from his glass.
