Name: Haru Kazuma; Ama-chan
Age: Seventeen
Date of Birth: October 22nd
Birthplace: Shinjuku Provence, Tokyo; Japan
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bi-curious
Face Claim: Izuna, Legend of the Unemployed Ninja
Appearance:
Height: 5'6"
Distinguishing Features: Numerous small scars from her training, mostly on her hands and feet, although most have faded to the point where they're difficult to make out under even ideal conditions.
Class: Persona-user
Arcana: The Sun
Occupation: Professional Ninja! (Actually unemployed)
Weapons and Proficiencies: Nodachi (Slash)
Personality: Most members of the Kazuma clan are very conservative, and Haru is no exception, blissfully taking on the mantle of a ninja and being trained in ninjutsu by her father. Despite her love of the subject, Haru is probably the least ninja-y ninja there ever was. Which makes her skill all the more surprising. She prefers to wear bright colors and carry a huge sword, but somehow still manages to be adept at stealth. Even so, her clothes match her sunny disposition, usually being energetic and happy about one thing or another. Easily enamored with a short attention span, her train of thought is often sporadic and leaves others in a state of deep confusion.
Despite her upbeat attitude, if something manages to upset Haru, she becomes hopelessly depressed to the point where she can barely function. When her older sister left the family without explanation, Haru had to quite literally be dragged downstairs and force fed for about a week before she finally started to recover from the loss. Thankfully, it is fairly difficult to ruin her cheery outlook on life, so the suffering of herself and those around her is kept to a minimum.

History: The Kazuma Family was well known throughout Shinjuku for one thing and one thing only. Mental instability. The tales of their insanity were largely fabricated, but not without basis- after all, in an age of computers, guns, and motor vehicles, the Kazumas were family of ninja. From the day that Haru was born, her father regaled her with heroic tales of her ancestors, and how their actions had shaped the past to the point where they might very well be considered the founders of modern Japan! But it was all false, of course. Her father believed every word that he spoke wholeheartedly, but only because he had been lied to as well. You see, the Kazumas were not descended from the Koga ninja clan as they claimed, but instead came from a long line of stage actors. A bit ashamed of his modest beginnings, Haru's grandfather wooed his future wife with colorful stories of his strong lineage, and passed those same stories down to his own son. Impassioned by his father's words, the man founded a dojo of sorts that practiced the ancient arts of Ninjutsu. As it turns out, trying to teach lessons on how to be a ninja didn't quite take off in the modern age as well as he'd hoped- aside from the rare few students who took the classes seriously, they were mostly attended by ever dwindling groups of Otakus who either gave up after a few lessons or had just signed up as a joke to begin with. So by the time that Haru was born, the Kazumas were largely broke. The only reason that they were managing to avoid total bankruptcy was because Haru's older sister spent most of her time in servitude to the Nakano family, although Haru was ignorant of such happenings.
Instead, Haru spent most of her time being homeschooled by her father. Aside from the usual subjects of math and science, Haru had one unorthodox class in her schedule: Ninjutsu. As the Dojo was usually devoid of students, Haru's father had plenty of time to train her personally in a variety of different subjects. Stealth, subterfuge, swordsmanship, use of ninja tools, and a varity of other topics were covered in the lessons, and Haru took to them as a sponge takes to water. She lacked the innate talent of her older sister, but her determination was second to none. Even though she spent most of her time training with her father, one thought never left her mind. For one reason or another, Haru developed a rather unhealthy obsession with her older sister. Even Haru herself didn't quite understand it, especially since she hardly ever saw the woman, but there was something about her that Haru just couldn't shake. Her sister was immensely talented, but despised the ninja way. This was what Haru hovered on, blaming this as the lynchpin of her obsession, demanding that her sister 'take responsibility' and use her natural gifts to excel. It was because of this obsession that Haru 'broke' when she heard that her sister had left Japan.
Tsukuyomi, Haru's sister, had accompanied her Mistress, Sayu Nakano, on a trip out of Japan. It was meant to be temporary, but Haru didn't seem to understand that. She thought that her sister was forever lost to her, and that she would never see Tsuki again. The girl underwent a radical change in personality, becoming apathetic and unmotivated in even the simplest of tasks. This attitude persisted for some time until her father finally realized the problem and explained the connection between the Kazuma and Nakano households. In a fit of rage, Haru stormed out of the dojo and confronted the Nakanos, who explained that Tsuki and Sayu had only left just recently, traveling to China's very own Mosaic City on vacation. Despite realizing the foolishness of her own actions, Sayu used the skills that her father taught her to stow away on an airplane heading out to Mosiac, not even bothering to return home in order to pick up a change of clothes or ask for some money from her father.
It was a long flight. Much too long, for one spending it locked in the cargo bay with mountains of luggage surrounding her on every side. It was a small miracle that she wasn't claustrophobic or else her little journey would have ended right then and there. Haru managed to sneak off the plane without being detected, and it was only then that the severity of her situation set in. She was thousands of miles away from home with no friends, no money, and no clothes. When she realized just how badly she'd screwed up, Haru tried to find her way back into the plane, only to discover that Lady Luck was not on her side. Within an hour after arriving in Mosaic City, all transport out of the city was shut down by order of the military. Unsure of what to do, Haru entered the airport terminal proper to try and find some answers, only to be found by a few security guards and brought into the back room for interrogation. Haru had taken her family's nodachi before running off to confront the Nakanos, meaning that she'd illegally smuggled a weapon onto an aircraft. They held her there for what seemed like hours, unable to get any answers out of her due to her not knowing Chinese and the guards not being able to speak Japanese. Eventually, they all filed out of the interrogation room and left her alone. She waited for one of the guards to return, but they never did. Once she was certain something had happened, she removed the handcuffs restraining her using a trick her father taught her before stepping into a small office area, where she collected her sword, which had been left out due to it's size making it too difficult to store easily, and left the security station. But the moment the girl saw what awaited her in the terminal, she wished that she'd just stayed in Japan.
Viscera covered the floors and walls while monsters roamed the halls, chasing what few survivors remained. Haru entered a state of shock from what she was witnessing and slowly started to walk down the hallway, clutching her sword to her chest. For some reason, the monsters on either side seemed to largely ignore her for a time. But then one took notice. It dragged it's grotesque form towards her, a thick, bloated tongue lolling from it's almost comically large head translated onto a slug's body. The monster reached out towards her, inching ever closer... only for it to suddenly burst into flames and let loose a pained wail. The suddenly combustion caused the girl to collapse, but she was quickly forced back onto her feet by some strange force. When she looked down to see the source of the disturbance, she saw a large, white wolf standing at her side. She just stared at it in confusion until it gestured with it's head towards a set of double doors located off to the side. Still numb, Haru silently followed the wolf as he lead her out of the airport and towards the inner circle, the protected area of the city. At some point on the trip she blacked out, only to awaken in a pile of trash in some back alley. The girl tried to explain the situation away as a bad dream, but she knew that was a lie. There were monsters in this city... Tsuki was in danger. Haru's fear of the creatures that had attacked her seemed trivial in comparison. She had to help Tsuki escape from this place... even if it cost Haru her life in the process.
OOC Name: Howl
Persona: Shiranui
Appearance:
Persona Lore: 100 years ago when the ceremony to sacrifice a maiden to Orochi drew near, a white wolf was seen roaming around the village at night. The villagers, thinking the wolf as a familiar of Orochi, named the wolf "Shiranui". Because the villagers thought Shiranui to be a familiar of Orochi, a man named Nagi attempted to challenge it, but the wolf would use its swift movements to escape from him every time.
On the night of the festival, when it was discovered that Nagi's beloved, Nami, was to be sacrificed to Orochi, Nagi disguised himself as Nami to gain access to and slay Orochi. However, his attempts seemed to be in vain because of Orochi's steel-hard hide. During their battle, Nagi was brutally injured. Just before the fatal blow was to be dealt to Nagi, Shiranui arrived and stepped in to battle Orochi.
After hours of fighting, Shiranui received many wounds and was about to lose the battle. When the final blow was about to be struck, Shiranui lifted its head and howled, which gave Nagi new strength that helped him defeat and seal Orochi. Even though the battle was won, it came at a price. Shiranui had been poisoned by Orochi's deadly claws during the battle and was slowly, but surely, dying. Nagi carried Shiranui back to the village where the wolf quietly passed away. The villagers built a shrine on the resting grounds in honor of Shiranui's brave deeds.
