Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
Scavenging always appealed to DJ for some reason, when kids his age were theorizing about some hypothetical zombie apocalypse, he always imagined he would do his best as a scavenger trying to find useful items and make use of whatever they already had as opposed to being a front-line fighter. Aside from all preparation this generation did for imaginary zombies, it was amazing they didn't notice the real monsters who were quite different though caused a somewhat similar situation. He did his best to avoid said shadows as he moved through the lower stratum. He was still somewhat inexperienced so he was not going too far today.
Today's hunt for useful and/or valuable goods in the quarantined area was directed at the abandoned executive building not far from the entrance. He could feel the ominous presence of strong opponents higher up so he stuck to the ground floor to try and avoid a fight. He was still getting used to his powers so he didn't need any uneeded altercations. As was to be expected the lower floor had mostly been picked clean by previous warriors but he was sure he could find something useful among the rubble. He picked through the area, hoping to find something useful or of value to take back to the safe zone.
DJ sighed softly, it had been a number of days since he had ventured into the outer circle looking for junk to scavenge and sell for the money he needed to finance his shadow hunting. He'd found a decent amount exploring the office building last time but he decided to go through a different path this time. He had recently discovered the art museum and the gallery exhibits there. Despite some dark events that happened while hunting shadows in the area he decided to explore the area again and see if there were any trinkets worth salvaging from the museum.
It was an art museum after all, he didn't want to steal any of the art but there might be something else valuable in the area that he could get some money for. He was always quite good at scavenging and the promise of some income to help better himself and get some experience was enough for him to brave the risk of the shadows. He carefully scanned the empty hallways, looking at the paintings and keeping an eye out for anything that might be valuable. It seemed pickings were slim unless he wanted to heist one of the paintings but he did manage to find a few trinkets before he decided it was time to head back.
DJ sighed softly as he once again entered the art museum. The last few times he was here weren't without incident but the last time he had scavenged here for things to sell everything had gone pretty well so he decided to give it another shot. He glanced around the dark corridors and abandoned paintings with a sense of caution. He definitely needed more training and practice but he wasn't going to be going after shadows on this run to the outer circle. He held onto his sword just in case but he didn't hear anything in the empty spaces around him so he focused on his goal of finding trinkets.
He'd met several nice people that had helped him learn more about what was going on with him and with the city and he felt like he was getting stronger now as well. Instead of hunting shadows he had taken the past two weeks to stay at home and connect better with his Persona, resting up and practicing his magic to try and get used to it as well as increase his endurance. He found it difficult to cast several spells in rapid succession so it would be best if he could overcome that weakness as soon as possible.
He scanned the area of the art gallery, grabbing a few things that looked like they might be of interest and quickly taking them back to the place where they could be sold for his own profit and training.
