Mosaic City, located along China's coast, is quite large city sometimes called the Crossroads Between Nations due to its diverse population. While it was once a large tourist spot, the city was placed under a blockade as the military appeared claiming there was a radiation leak. The true hazard, however, is much more sinister.
DJ chuckled softly and shook his head, Isolde seemed to be getting a little excited with her explanation and getting ahead of herself. "I don't know if I would put it quite like that." He laughed lightly. "The last thing we need is to get swelled heads or start romanticizing our positions here. If we start thinking of ourselves as super, we'll end up getting careless. In the end we're still just humans after all. Though I suppose we really are the only ones that can fight this, that doesn't mean we can discard caution and humility either." He said rather level-headedly.
He suppose she had a point though, they did have powers and a responsibility to do something with them to protect the people. He blinked and looked up at her, shrugging softly. "Oh... I don't know much about her. But she's quite a pretty female knight. Her name's Arianrhod, I think she's got some kind of foreign origin or something like that. She's pretty good with a sword from what I've seen and she helps me use my ice magic pretty well... not to mention she has a peculiar charm about her so she can seduce people if need be. As far as Persona go I suppose she's pretty nice, though she's a bit cold at times..." He scratches his head lightly in thought.
DJ blinked softly and nodded as she took in the description of his persona and responded positively. He wasn't sure why her complimenting Arianrhod was so nice to him but he supposed since Personas were their other selves that a compliment to a Persona was also a compliment to the user.He nodded lightly as he listened to the description of Isolde's own Persona and smiled softly. "So we both use ice magic, huh?" He smiled lightly though there were some difference still and it probably didn't mean much in the long run but it was nice to have that point of commonality.
"That's prettty neat, hehe Arianrhod has a bit of a prideful streak to her but I think she genuinely wants to help people. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like trying to order a queen around though..." He rubbed the back of his head nervously, sometimes even the knight didn't respect his orders, nevertheless he didn't know how someone higher up would react. "I... I use one-handed swords, I'm not great with them or anything but I used to do a bit of baseball and kendo when I was younger so I know a little bit, enough to fight anyway." He chuckled lightly.
DJ sighed softly and glanced out towards the ocean again. He was starting to get used to the cold the more he sat out in it though the occasional gust of wind still gave him some chills. Isolde was certainly a curious girl though he supposed it made sense to wonder about a new friend and want to learn things about them. This game of questions and answers was interesting and all but he couldn't quite tell if it was going anywhere. That being said he decided to put up with a little while longer, he didn't mind sharing a bit after all.
"I practice meditating to keep myself calm. Like I said I used to do baeball and kendo when I was younger. Other than that I guess I'm sort of a nerd, video games and anime and such. I mostly keep to myself since I'm a bit shy and introverted." He shrugged softly. He wasn't sure what else to say, aside from his emotional issues he supposed most would call him a boringly normal kid for his age. He shook his head and crossed his arms, adjusting to the cold and looking out on the waves as he wondered what to do next.
DJ smiled softly and nodded. "That sounds cool, I do a bit of cooking myself sometimes. I had to learn since I live on my own now." He rubbed the back of his head softly. "I also like reading, though I don't get much chance to read what I like because of school..." He shifted his feet softly. He looked up lightly and gave it some thought, it was hard to pigeonhole his video game interests to just one selection but he shrugged softly. "I guess I like adventure games of different kinds. There's action ones, fantasy ones, ones where you have to collect various monsters and fight them..."
Come to think of it that wasn't all that dissimilar to what was going on in real life right now, not that this was a game. Who in their right mind would make a game out of Personas fighting? He chuckled softly at the thought and shook his head. He turned back to the other girl with a soft and playful smile. "You sure do ask a lot of questions though." He laughed lightly, not that he minded her inquisition. She just seemed rather curious about him though he supposed it was understandable enough.
DJ chuckled softly and nodded. "Someone like you would probably like it. Video games can be hard to get into for some people but there's no reason not to give it a shot. It's usually good to try new things even if they don't always work out in the end." He smiled lightly. "I can help you pick something out sometime if you'd like. Like I said, there's no harm in giving it the old college try." He shrugged softly before glancing outwards again, squinting softly and watching the night lights reflecting off the rolling waves as they moved by the beach.
There seemed to be a bit of a lapse in the questioning now, though he didn't mind her curiosity all the same he was grateful for the break. There would indeed be plenty of time for questions later, neither of them were going anywhere so there was no need to divulge everything right off the bat. He chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his head nervously, blushing softly as she said she was curious about him. "You don't have to be curious about me, I'm not a particularly interesting person." He laughed nervously, the things about him that were interesting weren't exactly so in a good way.
"I'm sure it'll be fine, it's never too late to pick up a new hobby." He smiled softly and shrugged a bit. He liked introducing people to new things and enjoyed new experiences himself even if he sometimes got caught up in the anxiety that came with them. "We'll have some fun sometime and I'll teach you what I can." He chuckled lightly. He glanced out towards the ocean again, it had gotten quite dark by this point and the light of the stars was beginning to twinkle off the water more clearly than before, it was beautiful but also signaling the beginning of night proper.
He chuckled and rubbed the back of his head when she said he was special, his cheeks lighting up with a soft blush. "Hehe why thank you, good to know someone thinks so I suppose." He laughed softly. Even if he didn't quite believe he was anything special it was still nice to hear. He glanced up at the darkened sky. "It's starting to get dark... we should head back soon before it gets too late." he glanced towards his new friend with a bemused shrug. He didn't want to rush her but night was beginning to fall in full now and who knew what could happen.
DJ smiled softly and nodded. "Yeah it was nice meeting you too Isolde. I'm sure we'll run into each other again soon. This town seems to be smaller than it looks when it comes to people like us." He chuckled lightly. Though he supposed it wouldn't be a bad thing to be able to get in contact with her if anything came up. Since she was the only one he knew who was a persona user like him he figured it would be better if they stuck together. Besides, they had to get in contact to follow up on those promises to teach her about new hobbies.
He dug into his pocket and pulled out a slip of paper, jotting down his phone number on it and handing it to the girl. If he had thought about it too much the situation might have made him a bit nervous but it was just an instinct so he remained fairly cool about it. "Call me if anything comes up okay. We'll get together again soon." He smiled and nodded, shivering softly as he shoved his hands back into his pockets, looking back to the sky and the waves one more time before heading on his way home.
